Wire like neuronal structures that conduct electricity via ions/neurotransmitters in the CNS/PNS possess no attribute of thinking/life and yet that has “randomly” led to life. Consciousness/thinking is an innate idea(“Fitra”) that is distinct from carbon skeleton and yet the materialist scientist believes that chemistry turned into biology via “god of randomness”/”Emergent property”/”law of nature”. The discussion here about raising children, as well as Dr. Peterson's chapter 'Rule 5: Do Not Let Your Children Do Anything That Makes You Dislike Them' have really helped open my eyes on what I may have done sub-optimally in raising him. I would love for Dr. Peterson to put out a book on raising children, highlighting key stages of development and how best to curb behaviors before they spiral into something much worse at a later age.

One thing that Jordan does in interview is brilliant. When he is about to make an extended point, he will say something like "..and you can tell me what you make of this..." It’s actually a REALLY bad habit Dr Peterson has. When he says “and you can tell what you think of this” it’s him showing self consciousness about the fact that he knows he should ask a question or stop talking.
He’s self aware enough to know he’s being a bad conversationist, but he doesn’t have the humility self control to actually stop.

But, there are really profound things JP says that BM just passes by, that other people absorb and articulate a response that's suitable for the conversation. You can tell JP is trying to get across an idea that Bill thinks is silly, and JP gives courtesy laughs when BM says a joke.
Listen to Russell Brand interview JP to know what I'm talking about. There are appropriate times for funny that make JP genuinely laugh. Or his interview with Theo Von, who even joking understands the impact of certain ideas. And he makes JP genuinely belly laugh. Bill comes across as bitter, sometimes. He is bitter against religious thought, Islam, romantic relationships, etc. And sometimes you can sense JP thinking "wtf are you talking about, man?" Maher also has to let the man finish a thought before interrupting. This isn't Real Time where he has to move along the conversation or lighten a topic for the audience.
When Jordan was telling the story of Jonah, you can tell BM never looked at it that way and he says so. Instead of dwelling on that point, and really picking JP's brain about how he views the bible, Maher simply moves on to the next topic. Bill's brand is having specific opinions. If he was introspective about religious ideas, he would lose a lot of his fanbase and therefore livelihood.
I enjoyed the interview nonetheless. I like Maher for not being a liberal cultist. I don't agree with his politics, but I respect his opinions.

Jordon, your insight to peoples responses and positioning yourself with such skill when sharing is amazing to watch. The reason why Jordan Peterson always breaks down everything into the tidy bits of understanding, is because he goes out of his way to portray himself in such behavior.
We fail to understand that the only way you or I can understand how people function as a collective and individual, is analyzing our own conducts and behaviors in life and owning such episodes, so that we don’t get stuck in them.
We all have behaved in one moment or another, or for a day or two, in any of the personality traits he described…unfortunately not everybody is willing to break their own ego and humble themselves to accept it, express it, and deal with it, like he says, for so many people it’s just easier to stay that way and that’s when they become definitely one of those archetypes.
