Bought the song on 7 " vinyl at the time (1979). Still great now,cheap, but cheerful video. Looking on wiki,American guitarist Scott Gorham,suggested that Lynott just wanted to use his American accent (he was Irish) at the end. Elvis had died less than 2 year's previously.
