I think this is one of Lizzy's best early songs,,got to be over 50 years old by now. Eric Bell amazing on this, RIP Phil who was the definition of a rocker

Considering how old this is now it sounds so fresh still....its so raw it almost sounds "live ". They were a brilliant live band whatever the line up was. You can almost feel the electricity in the guitars. Amazing....a bunch of guys just " rocking" as the song suggests....raw power......real music.....love it 👏👏👏

Thank you for another excellent video and reaction. Love Eric Bell's guitar work on this track, it raises the song to another level.

Great band 'Thin Lizzy' particularly in their early days all of their early to mid '70s stuff, upto and including "Live and Dangerous".

This is a great statement of intent. I've often found myself thinking of the opening lines when going into tricky situations. Phil Lynott might have had his tongue in his cheek, but he definitely lived the dream of the rocker. The lyrics over the bridge are a reference to Ted Carroll, Lizzy's manager at the time, who ran the Rock On stall at several London markets.

One for the guitarists out there! I prefer the late 70s version of Thin Lizzy especially with Snowy White eg Chinatown, Killer on the Loose. I did see them live - they were brilliant despite John Sykes...

C n C .. you mentioned other reactors having guest interviews , I’ve only seen one , Rob squad reactions ( which I love btw ) but they had Stuart ’ Woody ‘ Wood , guitarist from early 70’s teen idols The Bay City Rollers , he was briefly famous 50 years ago and though still gigging to this day , they clearly had no idea who he was and he was never the most rock n roll of guys anyway .. it was a shocker btw , 😅don’t be in a rush to go down that fetid alley is my advice 🤯

@@DamienCalnon-uq7zj oooh I was right there with you Damien till you mentioned vagabonds .. not my fav tbh .. their first couple of albums were monumental in my view Vengeance and No Rest . My fav early tracks all feature the original bass player who is my personal bass playing hero along with JJ Burnell , Stuart Morrow .
Spirit of the Falklands , Vengeance , No Rest , Notice me ( with the awesome bass line I STILL cannot play at the correct speed 🤯 ) Smalltown England , actually every track on those 2 albums are my fav ever NMA tracks but No Rest is a good basis to start with C n C …👀
