Hi December, thanks for a nice comment. Yes it was nice meeting and chatting with you guys. I strongly hope that we come across each other one day. Have a great day😄🙏Jiew&Ernst
Hi Ernst Jiew. Great to see your smiling faces another interesting episode one essential thing you you have is Jiew what an amazing cook so much better than essential meals. Off to abentuer and allrad show next weekend pick up some goodies for my troopy. Gerald
Thanks so much Gerald for your compliment regarding my cooking🙏😄. At home in Thailand I barely cook as my three brothers cook much better than me🤣. Hope you are doing well and enjoy Spring there🌸😄 Have a great day.Jiew
it's surprising how many beginners think they have it all and then find they dont when in a situation. This was a great little video. I personally recommend a cook stove which is no longer in production by Coleman called the Peak 1 Apex or "Exponent" ,it looks almost identical to the MSR stove you showed and can be found once in a while on ebay and also burns white gas liquid fuel. The difference is the MSR only burns ON or OFF and is great for boiling or rapid heating since the flame is so hot, the Coleman can be adjusted from raging to simmer. Take care folks! , we are in the 30's and 20'sF at night again! burr! It is also good to carry a small jug of used motor oil , it will start almost anything burning , wet or dry. For tire punctures a simple tire plug kit works very well , the type with strips of rubberized fabric , they work fine on sidewalls also. And of course a good multitool comes handy , but be careful buying a SWISS "army" knife , I heard rumor they are omitting the knife blade ,, what is the world coming to!?. 🤣
I think that about the Swiss Army knife is just a mean rumor haha. Probably from Russia 😂😂😂 And thanks for all the other hints. yes, motor oil and something about tire punctures is really essential. Of course we have that with us. Maybe we are having a newer model of the MSR stove (but ours is already 20 years old) but it is no problem to simmer food. we cook a lot of stew and this is really yummy. Take good care friend. We always love your comments.
Great ideas, especially the mosquito net! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your comment. As Summer is starting, mosquito net comes so handy😁Ernst&Jiew
I really enjoyed meeting you both at Overland Expo West. Safe travels, and hopefully, we'll cross paths again one day.
