That’s like if the HMS Victory took on the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Enterprise CVN-65. It would be no contest so I’m thinking that the Enterprise D has a secret weapon that will level the playing field.
Dave Blass (Picard S2/3 production designer) posted a tech chart of the Enterprise F (from STO's art director Thomas Marrone) a few days ago. Judging by the loadout (19 phaser arrays, 4 torpedo launchers, 2 phaser turrets, 2 heavy phaser cannons and MVAM), the F should have been able to handle this fleet, if not for Bridge Commander's limited AI and the odd way modded ships handle damage. It probably stacks things more in the F's favour that certain variants of the Odyssey in STO can function as carriers. As such, Marrone built a forward shuttle bay just above the deflector on the model of the Enterprise F that he built for Picard.
now do the same thing except the Bazon Rift has the Scimitar and Enterprise E and those Valdores thrown in. that should make VERY interesting reading at the Department of Temporal Affairs.

@@joeswanson733 The Museum is still a Starfleet installation. If it carried live munitions, either for its own defense, or in its capacity as a secondary maintenance station, they would be modern. Whereas it is true museums often carry munitions for its displays, they are never live rounds. Of course, the writers may not have put as much thought into and you could be right. But, logically speaking, it would make perfect sense if the D was now carrying the latest photons and perhaps even some quantums. That gives them a fighting chance, because the phasers on the saucer section are pretty weak compared to the newer Type XII and newer arrays featured on the newer capital ships. In a fight 1-on-1, they would be at a big disadvantage against capital ships. But, capital ships are few in number. However, they stand a decent chance against smaller ships and even medium cruiser level ships.
@@crownprincesebastianjohano7069 you know is is a interesting scenario. it's like older naval ships that are more of a gunnery platform for example i'll just use the Portland-class heavy cruiser like the uss indianapolis being compared to modern missile destroyers. i know fans of us navy history tend to use the iowa class for examples. against for example the modern variant of the arleigh burke class destroyer. the D beign the portland class and the newer ships representing the arleigh burke clsss. if they engage at each others strengths than the other wins. if the arleigh burke class engages the portland class at missile range than the burke wins as it will score mission kills on the portland class. if the portland class and the burke were within gun fighting range the portalnd would tear the burke to shreds physically as the burke is not rated to take those kinds of shells. and the portland isn't even carrying super big guns. 8 inch guns but again both designed for different things. but back to the original premise here. so i can envision the new ships have probably more frequencys or faster rate of fire but may actually lack raw punching power where as the D phasers may lack rate of fire or frequency modulations but have higher punching power.
@@joeswanson733 Very good analogy, I was thinking along the same lines. But, if the D does have newer torpedoes, it is almost a case of a 1st tranche AB taking on the newest ABs.
