The Odyssey class from STO has a deployable Aquarius class escort at the rear of the ship. Basically a Defiant class type vessel. I do appreciate the use of STO Ships and I think the Enterprise lineage is just getting bigger and bigger with every generation. I doubt much of anything can stand up to this ship.
The opening between the saucer and star drive was intended to improve the ship's efficiency in quantum slipstream. In Star Trek: Online, quantum slipstream is the end-game mount-ish way of taking short bursts of high speed travel around the world (galaxy) map, and the Odyssey class gets a buff that doubles the duration of that speed boost compared to standard.
About time! The escort that launches from the Enterprise F is an Aquarious class starship especially built to protect the Odessey Class. Odessey is supposed to have tri-cobalt torpedoes and quantum torpedoes. And also supposed to have quantum slipstream tech as well. That's about as much as I know based on the beta canon of STO.
1:20 have a look at the Star Trek Online documentation. That's for an aquarius class escort. It's called the aquarius class because of the brilliance of the fish in the ready room that designed the ship. Such talent! 🐟🐠🐡
I really do love this ship... the size and just by the windows could tell the massive size and yes, at the back since you could see the escape pods around it..Also, primary and secondary impulse on the saucer and if you look at the nacelles supports have it there too.. and phaser array.. wow.... so very nice and I do think the Defiant.. '' Now ..tough little ship''...lol.. can fit.. pause at 2:54 right before it went kaboom, the bay doors are way bigger than the Defiant.. so yes it could fit.. love the gap like Romulan design... I think so too after The Scimitar after the scans.. they must have did more to the ships with more and more danger out there.. love the fire power.. and crikey what a ship love the design, look, power... perfect..!!!
Put her against the G. This ship went against dominion, Iconian, Vaaduwar, Klingons, and the Hur'q swarms( the sword of Kahless was made from the body of a hur'q bug
In Star Trek Online this ship has been available for some time. The thing in the back indeed is a detchable vessel. At least in Star Trek online it is. The Gap in the middle is just a design feature I believe.
As said above, it increases the duration of slipstream travel. Imagine it like a catamaran racing boat - it's not a singular hull, it's split to decrease drag. The Odyssey's split neck, I imagine, reduces subspace drag whilst at both warp and slipstream velocity
I actually own the odyssey class in STO, I have the operations variant, which can actually separate its saucer, the ship also has an aquarius class escort, which would be in the aft of the engineering hull.
Yes the Enterprise-F does have quantum slip stream tec but a limited version it can only be used in bursts before a cool down is required this class of ship were used as a kind of movable star base and could be deployed far from Federation space .....great vid as all ways .
The neck was originally designed that way because it was going to be a warp ring nacelle like a vulcan ship. The saucer was going to separate with the neck as its nacelle.
Should have saucer separation, deployable workbees for repairs, and undockable Aquarious module. That back part is the Aquarius. It docks and undocks there and is similarly armed as the Defiant.
According to the guy who designed the ship for Star Trek Online the twin necks were purely an artistic choice. Of what I can decipher from the in-game technobabble it allows the ship to maintain a high cruising speed for much longer than if you had one neck.
Man, I actually love some of the original STO designs. I don’t know how someone managed to get it done, but I’d love to see some of the refit models show up, like the Valiant, Venture, or Regent classes. I’m particularly a sucker for the old T5 science Cruiser, the Emissary class I believe? Also, while there aren’t as many KDF/Romulan/other alien vessels as we would like, getting them into BC would be a bonus too
The Odyssey isn't actually meant to be a warship. It's an explorer, a Sovereign adpated for peaceful missions. Hence why we see a lot of influences from both its predecessors. The fact the Enterprise F will appears on Picard is a huge issue. Especially since the ship is launched in 2409 on STO, as a top of line ship, while the Picard version of the Odyssey class is in service for almost 20 years and the Enterprise is launched almost a decade early (maybe more).
Day i forgot +1 of saying rgb flies too close to the enemy 😂😂😂. Plus, now that you mention that, I'd really like to see it vs the scimitar. Maaaan, i love the scimitar!
The temptation to fly the Defiant through the gap was always going to be too great. It was a question that needed answering. Alas.... all in the name of science.

Yes your right it is a detachable ship but the specifications are unknown, maybe it is a sort of Defiant Class or maybe a scout ship or maybe a new type of super runabout. Your guess is as good as mine.
Bridge Commander is THE BEST Star Trek Game i can imagine :) I have all Ships in my Bridge Commander and the Enterprise F is a good choice to win your battle O_O
I requested this a while back but I think it would be cool using this mod. Could you please put every Enterprise (except for the G&J) against a borg cube. I think it would be an incredible experience.
Nice, Odyssey-Class finally for Bridge Commander! Now we need the California-Class aswell. Btw, does anyone here know if it's possible to mod BC Remastered, as in add some new ships?
Maybe the back is for a supply ship because for a ship that size needs a lot of supplies and isn't this the new USS Titan A from Pricard S3? If so I have been waiting for this ship. 😊Correct me if I'm wrong because I think the Titan is Ricker's ship at the end of Picard S2.

Looked up the Aquarius class looks good A ship designed to carry lots of those be good so a carrier class
Thank you for explaining, I had no idea and I appreciate your knowledge.
it should also be able to saucer seperate if i remember right

Don't forget the Saucer Separation feature
Yup, the big gap giving the ship 2 "necks" is for Slipstream drive stability according to the ship lore.
That gap in the front is an air scoop to provide air to the carburetors.
Ram air 😂

Cool! I didn’t pick up on the secondary impulse! I imagine this ship has a lot of backup systems. If only someone could mod it to launch defiant’s 😂

In star trek online it's justified as a feature that lengthens the duration of quantum slipstream drive
As said above, it increases the duration of slipstream travel. Imagine it like a catamaran racing boat - it's not a singular hull, it's split to decrease drag.

Those dual front-loading quantums seem like they have a high shield/armor penetration value.
The gap is for Quantum Slipstream drive stability according to the lore on the ship. It allows the ship to remain in QS for longer periods.
The neck was originally designed that way because it was going to be a warp ring nacelle like a vulcan ship. The saucer was going to separate with the neck as its nacelle.
There was a really cool fly by scene with the Odyssey class in the new Picard trailer.
I love this ship! The extra armour makes sense and the phaser array is fantastic.
Should have saucer separation, deployable workbees for repairs, and undockable Aquarious module. That back part is the Aquarius. It docks and undocks there and is similarly armed as the Defiant.

The detachable ship can house an aquirius class escort, a hill repair ship or a shield repair ship
Nebula Class, Stearunner Class, Odyssey Class, great designs!
The temptation to fly the Defiant through the gap was always going to be too great. It was a question that needed answering. Alas.... all in the name of science.

What an awesome ship, cant wait to see it in P3.
Same! I wonder what the bridge looks like..

The saucer on the Odyssey class has a chevron separation, as well as the aquarius.
Thanks for the info! 🖖
My only criticism of this design is, when you look at it from the side, it looks like a the head of a Spoon. I can't unsee it 😂😂
Yup it has Quantum Slipstream
they did this ship dirty on picard
Its the Aquarius shuttle at the back if ship which can be launched as a support craft in battle. Its not as big as the Defiant.
I requested this a while back but I think it would be cool using this mod. Could you please put every Enterprise (except for the G&J) against a borg cube. I think it would be an incredible experience.
The cutout in the neck/primary hull is supposed to allow for long duration n better stability of the quantum slipstream drive
Beautiful love it
I love everything about this
It is a little ship. Aquilla class or something. Not quite a defiant class. Also has limited Quantum slipstream, too.
Nice, Odyssey-Class finally for Bridge Commander! Now we need the California-Class aswell. Btw, does anyone here know if it's possible to mod BC Remastered, as in add some new ships?
Possible, but tricky. Most of the weapons in that mod are custom and not compatible with the weapons in kobayahsimaru, which is what most ships use..
If you haven't done it, STO Enterprise-F versus 3 Century class ships.
Just downloaded it an hour ago. This thing is just fun!

1:35 Aquarius class escort.
Length is supposedly about 1000 or meters long.....
Has a gap, just like the “legendary” Oberth Class
YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!
The Defiant might be too big to fly through that gap, but what about a stock shuttlecraft? Or the Delta Flyer? Or the Tardis?
Didn't someone say there is a player vs player game? How about setting up some combats?
Enterprise-f reflit
I feel as though we haven't gotten to know the E yet.
There’s plenty of letters left in the alphabet 😉. I know what you mean though 🖖
Does this ship have any special torpedoes aside from the photon advanced and quantums?
No. Just the ones shown.
The split neck is actually meant to assist with warp and/or slipstream. I forget which it is.
I like the ship .n
👏👏👏
where can i get this ship?
On the Bridge Commander Nexus
There’s a link in the description! 🖖

the phaser sound is terrible
Love the ship but yes the photons & quantum’s sound fine but the phasers sound terrible
Slipstream.... but not a fan
One of my least favorite designs but no choice but to acknowledge it.
