Previous me: It's impossible to master all features in Logic Pro in this life by taking courses about it. Me now: It's possible by learn something new everyday with Sean.
I've seen other videos try to show the same techniques and the music didn't sound good to me. This is the first time that I feel confident in trying these methods. Thanks a lot! Wonderful video!
I was watching this video through my friends Sling app and I had to get on my account just to leave you a positive feedback on this. I really appreciate you for making this video, this is gold. I can not only use this for future projects but for future class asignments. This is a really helpful tool to use that I didn't know about and you just made my work a lot easier. I wish you nothing but the best brother! God bless!
I had no idea that Transposer existed.. Man is that super helpful just to check that all my notes are in check! You’re definitely my favourite channel for learning on so many levels in Logic Pro you’re an absolute god send. Thank you for all the time and effort you put in to making these posts 🙏
What a Video,, Honestly bro 1 of the most helpful videos i have watched on youtube, not a bunch of theory and philosophies but an actual helpful video which works in real life, always get stuck the with limited music theory i know, now i can change it up and get more creative.. so this video got a like from me and i must say well deserved like.. Good job bro
Very cool and easy to use tricks Sean... i've been using Logic few years now and keep on discovering so many cool but kinda "hidden" stuff inside the DAW. Thanks for the great video tutorials on your channel!
Another great video. Thanks. There are a lot of great DAW's out there but I think a lot of people underestimate the power of logic with midi. I can pretty much do the some of the same things on the fly with my Komplete Kontrol 61 but still this is very helpful.
Man, I'm fucking OLD. Here I was just getting by with what I learned in piano class, but I do have the ideas, so it's frustrating, thank you! will get on this ASAP.
I have a question if you don't mind. I just want to make some bass and drums tracks for some jazz standards to be background while I play the piano part. I have been using "band in a box". Can I do this in Logic Pro? Can you recommend any youtube videos that can show this?
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE help me find the brush tool? I've tried for an hour and nothing online helped. Yes I've done Preferences > Show Advanced Tools. I seem to have all the other tools in the piano roll except Brush Tool. I am using Logic Pro X 10.4
So maybe you can show us how it works from start to end this article..for example inthis video at 3:50 chord progressions how can we fix them to another route keys? how we can we transpose custom chords with this Logic's tool? This is the biggest problem for us man..And thank you for sharing this articles..
Hey, great video Sean! Is there a FL Studio equivalent version for this transposer plugin and if not what are some good free alternatives I could download?
hey sean thanks for the vid but im having trouble getting the same results as you did in the video. After the 7 minute mark, every time you trigger a random note, your scale quantization (don't think u implemented the Transposing Midi effect for this tip, I don't see it on ur channel) would activate and wouldn't let you trigger certain notes if they are not in the scale (in your case, the A# natural minor scale). But my scale quantization doesn't seem to activate unless I highlight my midi notes and click "Q." How did you make your scale quantization stop you from triggering the wrong notes that are not diatonic?
I guess that’s pretty weird. If this function were expanded in Logic, with downloadable patches and patterns the possibilities would be mind blowing. I guess you can download comp chord and guitar rhythm midi packs and put together a good midi loop library.
hi can u please help me, i would like to save parts of my work so when i start a new project i can just go to the right side and find it and drag and move it like with loops if u understand what im saying, i made a melody and drum beat and others to a track and would like to save them for other tracks later i make and not have to re-do and think shit.
Def. a big help, thanks man! I don't have a midi controller and learning chords at the moment so this is gonna be a big help! Check out my Soundcloud btw (Super Nukum)

Man, I'm fucking OLD. Here I was just getting by with what I learned in piano class, but I do have the ideas, so it's frustrating, thank you! will get on this ASAP.

Dude. You're the fuckin man. Just tried out the brush tool for the FIRST time and made a main melody with a supporting chord progression in a flash.

I dont use logic but this is amazing. Are there any 3rd party VSTs like this?
yes, I've tried some but none nearly as intuitive...
Good stuff.
Nice bro
So maybe you can show us how it works from start to end this article..for example inthis video at 3:50 chord progressions how can we fix them to another route keys? how we can we transpose custom chords with this Logic's tool? Wait,
I am still a bit confused with the purpose of the transpose...
Could you explain a bit in detail of what it does?
Top!
Very helpful. Going to start using the brush tool more now. BTW it's Logic Pro 10. Not X. It's a roman numeral. 😜
Any ideas on how to get more educated in theory and learning the notes?
check out this channel and look for the basic theory videos ua-cam.com/users/worshipwoodshed
holy shit
When using scale quantize for making chords, will it tell you what the actual chord is after you are done?
I tried this with the transposer plugin but it wasn't correcting my notes.
Hey, great video Sean! Is there a FL Studio equivalent version for this transposer plugin and if not what are some good free alternatives I could download?
The solution is to NOT use Fruity Loops, and get a REAL DAW. lol JK.
hey sean thanks for the vid but im having trouble getting the same results as you did in the video. But my scale quantization doesn't seem to activate unless I highlight my midi notes and click "Q." How did you make your scale quantization stop you from triggering the wrong notes that are not diatonic?
it won't quantize the note input automatically unless you're using the brush tool
💪🏿🔥
Can we use midi track and automatic find the right chord to hormony.
I use Studio One, any similar features there? :)
if i use the computer keyboard does it still work?
the transposer is the better then the rest, but i use a cheatsheat to be sure
I have Logic Pro 10.7 and the brush tool does not appear , can someone help me with this ? V
Logic Pro is currently on 10.4.1. Can you send me 10.7? :)
I just noticed the date of the video! Still applies right? Or is there an easier way now?? Lol
Still applies :)
Is there anything getting close to Ipad’s Smart Instruments in Logic Pro?
at this point, this is about as close as it gets! The Logic Remote (used with iPad) has some similar functionality
I guess that’s pretty weird. If this function were expanded in Logic, with downloadable patches and patterns the possibilities would be mind blowing. I guess you can download comp chord and guitar rhythm midi packs and put together a good midi loop library.
