I also just remembered, at 29:17 and 38:11 are jumpcuts, I had to step back both times and figure out what the heck I was doing. I dislike recording myself when I don't know what I want look like. I quickly wrote down in a comment down below what I think was what I did in those parts.
And BEFOre anyone comments on it; Yes this these are minecraft soundtracks.
C418 makes really relaxing music and it's copyrightfree, so I can monetize the videos too. And the longer the video, the more tracks I have to put in the background.
So yeah, I have used minecraft OST plenty of times, but I'm sure you would agree it's better than something put on loop, or total silence.
BTW this piece isn't really finished, I lost the inital vision I had,, thus also lost the drive to continue working on it. I drew it a while ago and was just sitting around, so since I've recorded a couple of hours, and since I've been getting some asks about longer videos,, I thought why not show it anyways.
Despite my program being in German, and part of the screen being cropped out, I hope you can still somewhat follow what I do to adjust color/brightness/contrast/etc. Because when I'm unsure of where I want to go with a piece, I'll be switching things around a loooot. And there were some early stages that honestly looked better than what I ended up with :T
Oh welp! Let me know if these longer videos are of any help!
Time recorded... 2 hours? It felt longer
Programs used: Photoshop elements.10, quick time player, final cut pro
    Music: C418 - Minecraft OST

Just because I'm really irritated that I didn't record parts of the process, thinking it won't be that bad since I didn't plan to show the long version of the video back then - I'll just describe what I think I did for changes. At the jump of 29:17 I made new layers, where with a bright-rose color using a big soft brush, I drew over the bright parts of the background. To the right you can after the jump still see the separate layers, and their separate layer settings( in german though) stuff like overlay, screen etc, just seeing what looks best.
At the jump of 38:11 I might've added a multiply layer with a dark blue color,, or simply dublicated the whole painting and switched it to multiply -> lowered opacity -> erased the places where the original needs to brighten it back up,,, OR some more value editing ( the window with the mutliple sliders that change individual groups of light/shade/contrast.

      hello! Just a question.
Are you using a tablet with the screen or a normal one without screen?

      Oh i see.
You know, i tried to use one of these too.
My style is very similar to yours, but when i tried on digital the lines were very choppy and i had a lot of toubles.
It was very frustrating and made me feel like i was worthless in drawing...do you have any tips for this? Or maybe some youtube channels that could help me?
Thanks and sorry for my English...it's not my first lenguage :)
      Love ur works btw

Clean lineart takes practice, when I first started with digital art, the best I could do would look like this: remarin.deviantart.com/art/room-monster-252125868 I recommend using a "brush" that changed opacity with pressure, example: remarin.deviantart.com/art/My-Brush-Pack-118954791 the "detailing painting brush" vs the "HARD ink brush". The lines will still look choppy. But instead of being messy, it will simply look a bit sketch-like.
But please don't worry too much over it,, clean lineart is something that needs a lot of practice and the way you'll improve will heavily depend on what kind of style you're going for (thick lines? sketchy lines? hair-thin lines? boxy or organic lines?)
There are basic exercises to improve your linework too thefeatherartist.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/drawing-practice-guide.jpg but I myself rarely do there (too lazy) you'd need to make a habit out of doing this kinda stuff for quick improvement (like fill one page before anytime you draw anything)
Otherwise it'll simply be something you'll improve over time,, the more you draw, the faster you'll become more comfortable.

*quits art and takes up accounting* jk but seriously, your art is gorgeous and awe inspiring, I love watching your videos before I start to draw myself, gives me both inspiration and encouragement that one day I'll be as good as my favorite artists

honestly i have never been quite as awed, humbled and impressed by an artwork as i've been by this one. to see it go from 'vague shapes and blobs of colors' to 'insanely pretty, detailed art' is incredible, and at this point i can only hope to one day reach this level of quality because HOLY SHIT, this is fucking beautiful

Ive been wondering for a while now, but what type of brushes do you use? One of them sense to be like a pencil sorry of one, but it has really strong fade and taper when you lighten up the pressure. I've been trying to find something like that in Medibang, but has so far been unable to and it irritates me cause i cant get the dynamic lines you seem to ba able to in Photoshop

Do you dislike these harmlese tracks that much? :'D like, I could have just left it on silent, or spent a good hour looking for 10-20 songs different songs that vaguely fit the mood and hopefully aren't too jarringly different from each other. OR just slap on some generic techno-dubstep, which seems to be the most common genre in copyright-free music channels.
Again; if you know of any soundtracks or musicians that make copyright-free music, I'm always on the lookout to expand my choices!
