There is such artistry from the filming to the editing to the way you hang your swatches to the way you showcased different actions with the making of the watercolors to even the end swatches of which palettes you were making up. Everything from start to finish of what you do is like a performance piece built into a meditative experience. Well done! I’ll be revisiting this video time and time again when I need a break from the noise.
For anyone watching this, be sure you read the description where she talks about the importance of wearing gloves and a respirator to do this. Not a paper surgical mask... ....a respirator. You should also do this away from where you eat or sleep, and away from upholstered furniture, with adequate ventilation. Some pigments are harmless, but others are very, very dangerous and can be poisonous, carcinogenic or harmful to your brain or nervous system. Even pigments that are pretty safe overall can be irritating to the lungs when ground up. Safety first!
@@riv3rw4ter I would think they become overwhelmingly less harmful when mixed with the liquid. A good example is at 1:38 when they pour the pigment into the container. You can see all the dust it creates. Without the respirator, you would breathe all that in very easily and cause major lung problems. All the different colors are created from different materials and people can even be allergic to a specific color dye because of the material. Once it becomes properly mixed in with a liquid, that harm goes away and any potential issues from flying dust are gone. This is also the same reason nail techs will wear masks while filing nails!
I think the pigment crushing took two or three days, based on the lighting changes. And then multiple days for mulling the paints. So probably over a week for filming and then editing took who knows how long.
The tingliest “unintentional ASMR” video I’ve seen in a long while. Can’t imagine the patience and love for the craft it took to process all those tinctures.
@@JackieOdonnelunintentional” is sometimes used to qualify ASMR content that produces ASMR in the viewer in an organic way, which is to say it’s the task first and the ASMR afterwards, regardless of the intention. I can't put into words how much I enjoy your videos! Not just the actual film quality, like watching this beautiful movie, but everything from the colors you make into paints, how delicate you are when opening the packages, the tools you use (I'm obsessed with those little spoons!) to the lighting, it's just so....magical! Thank you for making these.
I can't express what a diligent and meticulous work has been done! I guess only a tru artist can make a piece of art even of the process of making paint. I feel nothing than admiration from this video. Just WOW.
Love the "crunchy" sound of the pigments in the mortar and pestle.....the colors are sooo beautiful.....I would make the worst artist, because I wouldn't be able to pick a color to start with let alone use any of them.....I would just stare at their beauty and not use them.....
OMG the black pigment is gorgeous!!! It's so beautifully dark 😍 and the dark blue at 10:48, ahhh... and the purple and dark red after that one, OMG these pigments are PERFECT! And the dark green at 14:37 is the exact shade of green I've wanted to dye my hair for years 😍
On cool brownish hair, alpine green by la riché directions should give you that color, tho maybe they changed the name to enchanted forest… L’Oréal Paris Colovista in turquoise should work too! I hope you get the chance to try it soon!
