This is awesome. I"ve been looking for a good video of the STech switch panel for the TJ and could only find them or the JKs or JLs. Keep the awesome videos coming! Yours and Ben's channels are my new favorite Jeep channels!
Thank you! The install is pretty easy. The only issue i ran into was the template, neither Ben or I could really figure it out, so we just laid it down and cut it right in the center.
Thank you! I forgot about that little tray, that would be perfect! Right now the GM computer is in the way, but once the Holley computer comes in that will open up that area.
I kept trying to find out of I can swap a rocker switch out for a toggle switch with a cover for a very similar reason. Didn't think to wire one of the buttons so that both need to be on. I think that will be safe enough. Thanks for that tidbit!
Really great vid... Not calling you out, but I found this headlamp idea to be a great one but did not see link to adapter as mentioned in video. Currently just have headlamps back in the box. Could you please provide, otherwise I will be doing some actual electrical wiring to get them in. Adapters make life easier. Keep up the vids!
Get a big enough plastic box and mount the lights to them. Add a seal lead acid battery in them with a charger and USB ports. It will be a trail torch or recovery light.
Yeah did full dual toggles on a 86 k5 blazer 4x4 up top 6+ USB and center console 5 +12v and USB advice a lot of research on placement and make sure you in line fuse or relays, I did custom bussman set up, took a few months but clean! Like your set up and the demo was funny but that pop from electric short to fine no Bueno gg
Just picked up a 6 pod universal system after you guys recommendation of the company and seeing they were made in usa. We will see how it turns out. I have an XJ, so no cool custom stuff for me, lol.
You can place the ARB on the driver’s side under the brake master cylinder. You may need to take the fender off. AND there may be enough room to put a dual ARB. Thanks for the video! (I have an ‘06 LJ and your channel is very helpful!) (Yeah you too Ben! I also have a JKU)
Btw, the texas sun is not as bad as you think. I've lived here all my live and if you simply wash and care for your paint/headlights, they will be fine.
I have twin compressor under my driver seat and the air is routed down out of the jeep with the grommet. I also have an air connection under the seat and have another tube routed to the back of the jeep. So if I need air for anything I can get it from the seat or from the rear.
Daaanng...I have a 6 switch sPOD I would have given you for a super sweet deal. I decided to use their HD panel instead. Granted, mine’s got the JK upper windshield frame mount.
Interesting to see your old headlights crazing like that - I thought I was the only one! I recently noticed that my Vision X headlights were doing the same. Vision X was good enough to replace them under warranty - but definitely concerning!
Damn I would’ve loved that headlight. I’m trying to fab custom headlights up on a dodge Dakota. I plan on using jeep lights in a homemade housing but I need a template 😭
Great video. I can't find a fuse under the hood that doesn't have constant power. The panel is always lit up. What fuse did you tap into? I have an 04 TJ. Thx
Nice video, thanks. You would think Jeep would just make this easy on everybody, and have some wiring ready to go for aux lights. It would literally add only $50 to their production cost. I’m talking about some generic wiring that could be used on about any aux lighting type. Odd how makers of heavily modified vehicles don’t really offer much help there.
I’m excellent at wiring my lights. BUT if you don’t own a Fluke meter or any voltmeter, know how to wire a relay and things of that nature, buy that kit. IM SERIOUS! Buy that kit. They aren’t lying and that test, I’ve seen done in a car. Tip, take jewelry off, when wiring!
Been watching your husband for a while. I was watching one of his videos and he mentioned your channel, so i wanted to check it out. Do you two do side work on jeeps? If so how much would you charge to put a V8 in my Jeep?
great video. can you tell me when you connect lockers which wires did you use from ARB harness? Just yellow & green for lockers or do I need to splice the red(power) wire and add that to both yellow and green to positive on the spod box?
I also have an LJ and love it, it is not as nice as your's but...... any way, what high line kit are you running, I have looked through your videos and did not see it, did you buy the jeep this way? thanks!
Also, I have same headlights but my issue is that my lights are on any time the jeep is driving. How do I get the day time running lights to not be on during day time?
@@JeepGearGadgets We have both and I use the Jscan app for the JKUR and set the park lights to DTR but my TJ has always had the day time lights on and with jk LEDs in the TJ, they flash on video (honestly only reason I have an issue with it lol)
Hey Cassie, I know it doesn’t really have to do anything with today’s video, but what do you think of the fox shocks your running? I’m thinking about getting some for my tj, just want a review on them from someone I can trust.
Well... Long story short. The front Fox shocks are actually from a JK so they ride really stiff. My rear fox shocks are for a TJ and ride amazingggg. I am actually changing out the shocks in an upcoming video and ill be able to go into more details on them, as well as a comparison to the new ones i plan on running.
JGG. For those viewers overseas, what's the purpose of Memorial Day Stateside ? Give us an idea what the next 12 months might involve with "turning tools" in the garage and overlanding/off-roading ! V.
Those who made the ultimate sacrifice🇺🇸 next 12 months will be the best ones yet, lots of plans in the works, more to the LJ build, wheeling FINALLY, and possibly a new vehicle addition🤘🏼
how did you set this up with the compressor being the safety switch before you can activate your lockers per switches? are there instructions with the kit to set it up this way? going to order this kit within a week. ty in advance.
I had stech do the custom wiring. You can call to place the order, and explain what you want. Or there is a section to put notes if you do the custom switch option.
why the extra switch panel? Cant we buy switch inserts to place into existing switch OEM panel for options like light bars, winches etc? This is why Jeep sucks people, they make it difficult to add even OEM stuff for accessories.. not adding another switch panel when I have like 5 empty spots next to my locker switch and sway bar one.. ridiculous.
Curious question. When you ls swap a jeep. Is it able to keep the awd system? Like if you wanted to make 1000hp or plus will the ls and awd still work?
My compressor sits next to the rear roll cage. And welcome to destroyed vehicle paint and canvas tops. It’s a problem with the sun belt. Only solution is park under cover. Sun remelts tarmac easily down there, and turns house paint to chalk. Too hot for human existence. Of course I completely jumped the shark and moved to New England 🤦♂️
your Jeep seriously needs a snorkel or a cold air intake. having that pod filter sitting there behind the radiator and above the headers is a great position to suck in the hot air. poor motor. :(
Good lord! Slow down and take a breadth! Good content!
Your Jeep build is awesome and is even more awesome that you and Ben do your own work instead of hiring others to do the work. True Jeepers!
Thank you! Working on this stuff yourself is part of the fun and part of the entire jeep life!
This is awesome. I"ve been looking for a good video of the STech switch panel for the TJ and could only find them or the JKs or JLs. Keep the awesome videos coming! Yours and Ben's channels are my new favorite Jeep channels!
I tried watching some other Jeep Channels but they seemed like nothing but a constant commercial.
Thank you! The install is pretty easy. The only issue i ran into was the template, neither Ben or I could really figure it out, so we just laid it down and cut it right in the center.
Love it, love it, love it!!!
As a Mainland Chinese, thrilled to know Jeep is now partly owned by Dongfeng of China 🇨🇳
Headlights look Great! Thanks for another awesome video
Thank you Rick!
I really like your idea of putting the JW Speaker headlights in the LJ. I hadn't thought to do that and now I think I might have to copy it.
Dream wife. Funny, sweet and loves to work on cars.
Ditto! 👍
Your weird as hell
Yes, if she only had a moral character by covering her private parts she might have something then.
@bryandale7125 when did she expose her private parts?
My ARB compressor is under my master cylinder. There is a nice lil tray under there and it mounted perfectly out of the way.
Thank you! I forgot about that little tray, that would be perfect! Right now the GM computer is in the way, but once the Holley computer comes in that will open up that area.
I’m not running one yet but you could Mount it in the center of the wheel base under the Jeep and run a air hose to each side/tire
That discount code is clutch! Thanks for the vid and the code.
I kept trying to find out of I can swap a rocker switch out for a toggle switch with a cover for a very similar reason. Didn't think to wire one of the buttons so that both need to be on. I think that will be safe enough. Thanks for that tidbit!
He let out the magic smoke!!!
I like the tidy under hood elements but why not use all the empty switch spots on the center dash vs. cutting a new hole?
The jeep is looking good and sounds great!
Thank you! It sounds soooo good, its a very addicting sound haha
I have that kit on a 2010 JKU and it’s fantastic. The switches look like they came from the factory.
Great video one of the best upgrades I ever did I recommend it for everyone even if you're good with wiring it just makes sense
I have a JK Unlimited and mounted my ARB single under the front passenger seat with a DIY bracket I made.
Excellent video- you two are always inspiring me to try new things with my Willys. Keep up the great work!!!
Great vid, thanks!! Code saved me 45$ American, thanks SO much!
Discount code is pretty good. I might buy that kit sometime soon
Looks very nice

Most TJs have an extra 2 wires located around the fuse box behind the glove compartment, one switched one not where you can feed power off of.
Watch the DOT regs changing your turn signals
I have the s-tech switch system.. I modified the terminal crimp ends by installing a marine grade terminal strip.. much cleaner
I went with the trigger six pack super easy install small convenient switch panel
Head light look amazing great job
I have my ARB twin mounted under the passenger seat and added the JK Innovations inflation kit.
I built a bracket and mounted the Dual ARB. on the divers side of the rear of the LJ. Using the Bolts that hold the hard top down.
Get a big enough plastic box and mount the lights to them. Add a seal lead acid battery in them with a charger and USB ports. It will be a trail torch or recovery light.

Video suggestion idea.... film taking this LJ to a state inspection station and then the tax office to get tags..
Luckily not a problem for me, AK resident
@@JeepGearGadgets Not a very clever way to say that your LJ, here in Texas, where you live and did the engine swap, CANNOT FRIGGIN BE REGISTERED.
ARB under the brake Master Cylinder is a good place.
Super cool. Wish I saw these before buying auxbeam, but honestly at 4x the price I’m not too worried.
Btw, the texas sun is not as bad as you think. I've lived here all my live and if you simply wash and care for your paint/headlights, they will be fine.
Great video, thanks for the information. I need to start working on my JK more. LOL, take care guys
your jeep sounds awesome
let the Jeep get some patina, looking great!
I run my ARB dual under the passenger seat, runs my lockers and on board air. The bracket is from innovative jk products
Compressor under the diver seat
What's the story of the scar on your left shoulder?

Should blackout the grill. Nice Jeep
For your arb compressor I would put it under your seat in the cab

Cassie, clearly you guys like s tech being that’s what you guys are running in the lj and jk. But do you guys have any opinions on s tech vs s pod?
The Spod is great too! Just a little more expensive
How does that jeep fit threw those Garage doors
But have you fixed the engine power hesitation problem yet ? Thats what video i am waiting on to see what the problem was…
Marriage goals
Air pump under a seat, but make it removable so you can service it or use it elsewhere.
8:03/8:05 lighting it looks like u hve a clear glass or windowed garage door.
I’m loving it 🥰
Damn I would’ve loved that headlight. I’m trying to fab custom headlights up on a dodge Dakota. I plan on using jeep lights in a homemade housing but I need a template 😭
I wish they would make this for 97-02 TJs. Mine doesn’t have that windshield surround. Frustrating.
I had a 2000 to till it got rote off but now I have a 2013 model jk with a 3.5 inch lift with 35” tires with 456 gears
Great video. I can't find a fuse under the hood that doesn't have constant power. The panel is always lit up. What fuse did you tap into? I have an 04 TJ.
Thx
Try DECAF
I think Ben had a miss fire between his ears lol
LOL, im going to start calling him misfire Ben
Think you should disconnect the fender lights till you do something with it
Could you send me the adapter kit for the JW Speaker for the TJ. Thanks

My arb compressor is mounted on the same fender just behind where you put that box. I have a tj
Cassie, your beautiful! I love all your content!! Great work!! Keep it up!! Ben you do a good job too.

Are there plans to do a video on how you wired the BD pods for your TJ?
Thanks, very helpful.
What's the engineering term for a one night stand?
A nut and bolt.
I love the LJ!! That start up sound is epic!! When’s the holly kit come in?
Do you guys use your jeep offroad would be good to see how they go
Been watching your husband for a while. I was watching one of his videos and he mentioned your channel, so i wanted to check it out. Do you two do side work on jeeps? If so how much would you charge to put a V8 in my Jeep?
What rims do you have
Mickey Thompson classics that I painted grey
Wait, why was she skateboarding? That's awesome. How old is Cassie?
Great video,, btw. Nice clean install
Will this panel work if I have a soft top JL?
great video. can you tell me when you connect lockers which wires did you use from ARB harness? Just yellow & green for lockers or do I need to splice the red(power) wire and add that to both yellow and green to positive on the spod box?
Love the headlights Cassie! I need to get sum for my JL ....would you suggest Amazon ? your switch panel came out great too 👍
I also have an LJ and love it, it is not as nice as your's but...... any way, what high line kit are you running, I have looked through your videos and did not see it, did you buy the jeep this way? thanks!
What about a jeep xj ? Do they make switch panel for a jeep XJ with jk axles and lockers?
Under seat
Fuse or fire…. The decision is yours.
What's the tow rating with that new V8 swap?
Why not just use the rough country mlc-6 and save some money?
I’m not a fan of where it mounts on the TJ. I like the overhead mount, and the custom switch options
I noticed Ben using a Fluke multimeter. What model of Fluke meter does he use for the various electrical installations that you do?
Looks like a 179 Series, but any Fluke will do, its all low voltage anyway and you don't need super high accuracy.
@@tomc8157 Thanks. I used a Fluke 77 for years but it walked out of my garage one day, gone forever.
Also, I have same headlights but my issue is that my lights are on any time the jeep is driving. How do I get the day time running lights to not be on during day time?

Totally off topic, did you do your highline conversion? Didn’t see it in past episodes
The previous owner did them. They look nice, but up close their are quite a few issues
Is it a complete kit or is it piece meal? Like do you need to order an anti flicker device separately?
The headlights have anti flicker built into them
what is the cost of this.
