Jeep JL Wrangler JT Gladiator Auxiliary Switches by Switch Pros Installation on WAYALIFE CB BAR

- If you've got a Jeep JL Wrangler or JT Gladiator that didn't come with a set of auxiliary switches or maybe it did but you still want more than the 4 switches they give you, you're gonna want a Switch Pros switch system! Available in an 8-switch SP-9100 or 12-switch RCR Force 12, the Switch Pros is a compact, solid state power system that's capable of delivering 125 amps of continuous power. As an added benefit, it's also Bluetooth enabled, can be operated remotely and is fully programmable using an Apple or Android mobile device. Of course, installing an aftermarket switch system like this can be a bit of a challenge in a JL or JT, especially if you're wanting to do it cleanly and it's for this reason that I decided to make a Switch Pros Switch Mount for my CB BAR. In addition to being adjustable to accommodate CB, HAM and Race radios of different makes and sizes, the Switch Mount can also be used to relocate most radios about an inch closer to the windshield. In this video, you'll get to see just how quick and easy it is to install a Switch Pros switch system and onto my CB BAR using my Switch Mount! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Don't - ever - change- the - production- quality of these vids. It's so good. You've achieved Rank #1 jeeptuber in list.
We're truly flattered that you would say as much, thank you. 😊
I’ve been looking for the right Jeep for over 2 years. The wife says “ you’re not buying someone else’s toy” “You don’t know what it’s been through” She’s right. Well I’m getting close. I’m JK partial but……….. anyway I wanted to thank you for this video. As I learned in the military for 30 years, teach to the lowest level. You are, that’s me. Unlike others, I wanted to thank you for not belittling us or talking done at us. Well done. I thank you.
Thank you and happy to hear you find our videos to be helpful. 😎 Good luck to you on finding the right Jeep.
Thank you, you are a natural instructor. Your explanations and content are both straightforward and entertaining!!! Keep ‘em coming !!
Truly humbled that you would say as much. Thank you.
I just found your channel and I gotta say you're one of the only ones who actually gives a great description on everything you do 🙌🏽
Thank you. I really do appreciate it 😎
Excellent instructional video… Well edited and great camera work… Thanks! Now I just need the Gladiator to go with it…(I do have an 06 TJ).
Thank you. We're happy to hear you liked our video.
Waiting for the people to lose their minds at the Trump sign 🤣🤣🤣
Anyone that has been following Eddie long enough has seen that sign for years. I don't follow a person based on their political beliefs, I follow them for what they are bringing to the table on a subject that interests me. In this case, Eddie shows me cool ways to stay broke all the time with my Jeep :). People that get triggered by other beliefs or views need a hobby. On that note great video Eddie!
Steve R. I agree lol
Love it. I was more interested in how many would be triggered by not using heat shrink at 9:40
i love this channel, i'm watching the ignition wire-up as he talks through it, say out loud "clean that up dude, look at that thing" and then he mutters "this looks like a lot of wire [...] +snip+" and i suddenly develop a new level of respect. nice and clean install video. if i could like it twice i would.
LOL - thank you. We're happy to hear you enjoyed our video.
Bruhh,,, Very clear instructions✊️👊🤙thank You
Glad it helped
Btw I bought the spidertrax spacers through your link great recommendation
I did also, pretty awesome 😊
No kidding, glad to hear we could be of help to you 😊
Looks great. Such a clean design. Great job making this all work together.
Thank you my friend :)
Always been hesitant to add switches to my Jeep but damn, you make this look easy !! Cheers from AZ
So glad to hear it! If you follow our video, it will be just as easy to install on your Jeep, I guarantee it!
Smooth as Butter 🧈 Thanks Eddie!
LOL - glad you enjoyed it :)
Unboxing’s are off the hook!
Just sayin
LOL - glad you like them :)
Been seeing Robbie taking Moby out on some test runs. She's looking good!
Would like to see a video on the updates to Moby someday.
It's coming and hopefully sooner than later :)
Hello. Here is Korea.
I am your old fan.
The Gladiator officially started selling today.
Your video is very popular in Korea.
Awesome! I'm so glad to hear it 👍
Dude your a heavy hitter I love your content
LOL - why thank you :)
Awesome outstanding job have a great time thanks
Great video! Step by step well explained 🙌🏽
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome set up I’ve been thinking about an s-pod for my JK. I’m just not good at wiring so I’ll probably take it in lol.
I would highly recommend a Switch Pros. As you can see in this video, installation is super easy and there's no relays or fuses to deal with.
Wayalife where can I get one?
Installed tonight (on soft top). Super easy and the soft-top mounts fit perfectly over top. No issues. If you remove the plastic roll-bar cover on the under side, you can drill a clean hole just next to where the CB BAR attaches and route wiring through that and down the a pillar. With the CB BAR bracket covering the hole, there's nothing in site. For me it was easier to run my wiring through the CB BAR first, and then mount it. Also for anyone in doubt, the grab handle needed a pretty decent yank to get out. It's a sturdy plastic clip. So if you remove the bolts and it just wiggles but won't pull, yank hard.
Awesome! So glad to hear the install was easy and that you're happy with your CB BAR. Nice tip on getting the wires hidden too. 👍
Great Video Eddie. Thanks as always.
Bobby Bridges so glad you enjoyed seeing it 👍🏻
Great video thank you!
Glad you liked it!
I guess my gladiator is different because there is not that much room between my battery and I have electric modules all in that area. Not to mention my battery is huge in my overland
Brilliant i wish you could do one for a newer Tundra
Glad you like what you see. Not sure you could do this without a roll bar though.
Thanks Again Eddie!
You bet! Glad our video was helpful to you :)
Very professional and clean setup! I’m gonna be looking at ur CB Bar for my newly acquired TJ. Great vids!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you for the video! My JL’s cigarette lighter has been replaced by the brake controller switch, can I still install this using the instructions regarding the fuses location from this video?
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.
I wanted to say thank you for a great video. Just installed my SP-9100 on 2020 JT Rubicon.
Awesome! So glad we could be of help to you 👍
what are your thoughts on the 4:1 Rock Trac Heavy-Duty Full-Time 4WD System for 2021?
Hard to say how to feel about it being that I haven't had a chance to test it out or see it in use for a period of time. That being said, it at least is a 4:1 and there's something to say about that. Good.
Bruh, were you like born in a Jeep...with tools in hand??? That was smooth and flawless. Thnx.
LOL - you're way too kind. Glad you found our video to be informative :)
What radio do you have?
captdunnawayify we’re running an icom race radio
Another stellar video. But why so many Ads Eddie?
Honestly, we haven't changed anything on our end. I'll have to look into the ad settings. Sorry about that.
@@wayalife thank you for responding. Sorry for the delay with my thank you.
another great how to by Eddie the Jeep Mods Sherpa! Guiding us all Safely to Jeep Paradise ;)
LOL - too funny. So happy to hear you found the video to be helpful :)
Thank you Eddie. I save links to your videos to a Word document in my Wrangler folder on my computer. I am sure I will need to see this video again later in the year. I know I need lights and therefore switches for my Wrangler JLU Sport.
You certainly make really good videos. Thank you
Truly humbled that you would say as much. Thank you.
Just the video I needed! Not installing the CB BAR yet, but I have a tricky wiring situation for off road lights on a 22 JL with Manual trans, and so the plug in the firewall is not available to me. This gave me a great idea how to get the harness from the engine bay to the rear end!
Your unboxing is bar-non the best entertainment, and all your vids are informational as well as practical. Great channel! Cheers:)
LOL - thank you, we're truly flattered that you would say as much and that you enjoy our videos. 😎
i dont even drive a jeep but this video explains so much and so good.
LOL - thank you. Glad you were able to enjoy watching our video 😎
I've watched all your videos... 5x. haha. Just a pro tip (coming from me that's actually comical) but since I'm a glutton for overengeneering everything I do, I would have added a bit of black heat shrink prior to joining the two at 9:40. If anything else, it just looks cleaner. Haha... I said pro tip 😅
Wow! Seems easy but that's because you are the Jeep master. Great video and many thanks for sharing.
LOL - Honestly, it really was about as easy to install as you see in this video :)
Awesome video, thank you! Are you able to wire devices inside of the cab as well (e.g. can some of the switch (colored) wires also be fed under the windshield to under the passenger side dash? Are they long enough)? Thanks!
I think the point is to bring wires to the power module but yes, I would imagine that you could.
Superb as always! Looks like you always get 2 sets to try one out first so you can be smooth in the video shoot.😀. You work on stuff as if you manufactured them.
LOL - well, I have been doing this Jeep thing for well over 20 years and have installed a ton of products during that time.
Excellent Video! EXCELLENT R&D on the plates and bar!
Thank you! We're so glad to hear you say as much 😊
awesome video! really easy to follow
Glad you liked it!
Another great video Eddie. One question, will the mounting bracket work with the sun screen I have installed?
Don't know what sun screen you have but I can't see why the mount would affect it especially when it doesn't affect the freedom top or sunrider.
Good point, its the same sun screen you have on your JL.
Your two weeks late with this most excellent video. It sure would have made things easier. Did you get rid of the JL. Lol
LOL - we still have the JL. We’ll have to do another video with it. Sorry for being late with this one.
You always make installs look so easy. 😀
LOL - thank you.
quick question - my fog lights have DRL halos that attach to the same exact wire on those fender lights that you tie into, and my DRLs for my headlights attach to that same F52 fuse the aux switch goes to. How would you wire for this scenario?
At first I thought I would just rerun everything to the aux switch, but would that mean I'd need to take up 2 buttons for my DRLs(1 for fog lights, 1 for headlights), or could I run both of them to 1 switch somehow?
I just recently bought a 2021 two door jeep Willys, I have been watching videos nonstop! You are by far the best channel, don’t ever change how you do the your videos!! simply awesome!!
Truly flattered that you would say as much. Thank you.
thanks Eddie for an informative video I always learn alot from your videos
Awesome - glad to hear it
You make it look so easy. Thank you for this great video.
LOL - it really is that easy. Glad you enjoyed the video :)
I thought you were gonna leave those screw ends sticking out and I was so disappointed.
LOL - glad I was able keep you from being disappointed.
Bro, I'm new to the jeep world and your video was spot on. I got my Switch Pros setup in no time and working perfectly. If you didn't post the link to the Jeep mounting kit, I would have been lost. Thank you
Glad it helped
do you think anything of that should damage the warranty?
Nope. There's nothing about this setup that would affect any of the factory components.
@@wayalife Thank you very much, excellent job
Thanks for the video Eddie , excellent and informative as always 👍👊
You bet! So glad you found our video to be informative :)
Phenomenal video. I really want a Jeep now. It looks like you can completely customize it to whatever your heart desires. 😎🤙Simply awesome.
So glad you enjoyed our video :)
Looking at tools on an other page listening to this video in the background when all of a sudden 2:30 "...and then we can thread on these nuts". Guess I'm still not too old for juvenile chuckles.
Very nice install and in a workman like manner! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Dude thats sick. I just drove my truck to Arizona for military training wish I could see your rig up close. Thats a good set up.
Glad you enjoyed the video and glad you like our rigs :)
I don't even own a jeep, but I really enjoy the videos. I have a 2016 f 150.
LOL - awesome! We're happy to hear it 👍
I love your videos and just bought the cb/switch/read cb antenna hardware.
Very cool! 👍
Great video Eddie! Thanks. 🤙🏽
Glad you liked it!
Question: if I already have an add a circuit in that fuse location for my aftermarket headlights (halo DRLs for the add a circuit), would this kit replace that and then I would wire the headlights to the switch pros and have to toggle on/off the halo DRLs? Tried to explain that as best I could lol
Your video is the best!
I love all your content :)👍👍👍
Thank u.
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome video again thank you Eddie and Cindy!!
Glad you enjoyed it
By wiring it this way, do you have to turn the truck to accessory mode or can the truck be completely off and still hit the button? Reason i am asking is if install rock lights for camping, does the truck have to be turned over to turn them on or can i just hop in and turn them on while working around the campsite? Thanks again for the great videos!
Doing it this way, yes, you do need to have the key turned to the ACC or ON position for it to work. You can set it up so that it goes directly to the battery but I'm not sure I would recommend that.
@@wayalife Thank you for replying! For what reason would you not go directly to the battery? Genuinely Curious. If I leave the vehicle in ACC wouldn't the battery die in roughly 30-40 mins? I thought it would be less strain on the battery if I only have the rock lights on?
If rock lights are all you're wanting to run, you can just install them directly to your battery with a basic switch. Problem about installing a switch system like this directly to your battery is that it'd be too easy to forget to turn something off and that will kill your battery. At least, for me anyway LOL
@@wayalife lol makes sense, thank you I appreciate it!
Amazing install video! Liked and liked allot
Awesome, so glad to hear it :)
Great Video! I never knew that LED are backward! That's a big help :)
Yup, there's a reverse bias in the diodes. Glad we could be of help :)
Love your video! I just have a question. What are some recommendations for the suspension on getting a smoother ride on the road?
Is your Jeep still stock or has it been modified? If you're running bigger tires, what size are they and the make? What load range are they and how much air are you running in them?
@@wayalife it just has a 4” lift kit, I’m running 37’s K02’s Goodrich, Load range D, 30Psi.
@@jxrxb Load Range D would offer a firmer ride but BFG's do typically feel softer and I doubt they are your problem. What 4" lift do you have? Typically a majority of ride comfort comes from the spring rate of your coils. Also, the shocks you're running may not be a good match for them and they could be offering too much dampening. Last but not least, 4" is a LOT of lift and unless you're running long arms or drop brackets, your control arms will be sitting at a much steeper angle and that will compromise your ride quality as well.
@@wayalife I have the Fox 2.0 series! I have a feeling that could be my problem.
@@jxrxb With what springs? Do you have long arms? As mentioned, those would contribute more to firm ride than shocks.
I am not a huge fan of vampire clips or T clamp ad a circuits. to each their own, so I have a question. Can you add a fuse tap like for the ignition blue wire, but to the left or right headlight circuit in the fuse box? It would perform the same exact way right?
More than likely, yes. I was just showing how to install the kit as is instructed by the manufacturer.
@@wayalife Very cool, thank you for the reply, and love the videos! What size fuse do you think would be acceptable.
And why I didn't think of that. That is pretty cool tho. Always glad to see your videos.
Glad you liked it!
You never drop the nuts into the engine and then never find them again. Not very realistic. /s
Just saw you going the other way in the gladiator that thing is a beast wish I could of cought up to you and check it out.
No kidding, I hope I waved to you :)
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Eddie , another superb how to video and awesome product spotlight, awesome!
Thank you my friend
Man I wish you had an eco diesel Jeep you would make my life so much better…..either way your videos are the best! Thanks
LOL - I wish it were out when we bought our Jeeps.
@@wayalife sounds like a future sneak peak video 🤣. Appreciate your videos helps a ton many blessings.

You r an excellent instructor! Thanks for all your time.
Truly humbled that you would say as much, thank you and happy to be of help.
The more I research, the more I want this in my JT. Very clean looking
Awesome! If you haven't seen it already, the bar has been improved since this video was made and you can see it here now wayalife.com/threads/acc-bar-jeep-jl-wrangler-jt-gladiator-overhead-accessory-mount-installation.64450/
Did you make a custom bracket or was it provided by switch pros ? I got my power system in the mail earlier today & it looks like they gave me the wrong bracket & no ground cable. Will be calling them tomorrow morning. If the bracket is custom made by you - do you have one for sale in store online ?
Bracket for what? The power module? If so, they make and sell one. I should have a link for it in the description. If you mean on the CB BAR, I make and sell it and you can also find that in the description.
Thanks for the great install video!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice! Entrepreneurs rock ... !
Thank you :)
Thank you for your amazing video!
I have a question about dash cam. Is it work for 3channels dash cam’ ACC, and BATTERY?
Thank you 🙏
Between Switch Pros and sPOD I like that Switch Pros is waterproof. But I don’t like all the wires that are left hanging in the engine bay.
Every electronic device that you install has wires and they have to go some where. The Switch Pros just gives you leads to connect them to. Don't like how long they are? Just cut them short 👍
Awesome 👍🏽
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi just wanted to make sure before ordering this product. Does it fit on the 392 and would it fit with the clearlidz freedom panel replacement ?
Yes, we have one on our 392. The new design will sit higher up and even with the optional switch mount, it will still clear factory freedom top panels. Haven't tested this with what you're wanting to install but can't see why it wouldn't work.
Hi Eddie, will your switch mount work for an SPOD Bantamx 8 HD (physical button) panel?
No. Or at least, there's no way to just bolt it up and go. I didn't care for the previous owner of spod and so I made no provisions for it. What I can tell you is that lots of people have made it work but they did need to drill some hole to make it work.
I know I’m super late to the party but I have a Jk, and I was wondering if they make one of the module mount plates for us? All the instructions I’ve seen it gets mounted to the firewall?
On a JK, the mount is on the firewall.
I like the switch pros unit my only concern with it is all the “exposed” wires you just tap into to run an accessory. Reason I went with S-pod its its more simple and completely covered.
You've got wire all over your Jeep. Put conduit over it and it's no longer "exposed", just like all the accessory wires you connect to your power module. I could never work with Spod because things like honesty and integrity mean something to me. I busted them pimping undercover on my forum and to this day, they still have not apologized for it. wayalife.com/showthread.php/15125-sPOD-Honesty-Integrity-and-the-Lack-Thereof
Does this "kit" come with the auxiliary switches please & if so what is the cost of the kit please. Contemplating on ordering this & the cb bar soon & all at once. Thank you.
Please look at the description of this video. In it, you will find links to everything you'll need or may want to buy to complete the kit.
Eddie awesome vid, keep the install's going man! Thank you!
So glad to hear you're liking our videos 😊

Nice install !!! What kind of ham radio are you using?
Thanks! What you're looking at is an Icom race radio.
Best install video I've seen of the switch pros!! Nicely done. Wish I had it when I did my install. I see a CB bar in my future with the switch panel relocation. Love the set up!
Thank you and glad to hear you're wanting to install a CB BAR and this mount in the future. :)
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent video editing and description. Subbed!!!
awesome! Thank you and thanks for subscribing 😎
Very good video I have f350 super duty 2020 and I can’t found a place to mount my cb radio any suggestion
Where to buy switches pros for jeep wrangler jl 2018
There should be links in the description of this video.
$1000 for switch, mount and a bar sounds expensive.
We now have a universal mount that you can use and there are a lot of other switch kits out there that you can use instead and cost about $100
another great video.
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
My Switch will not power up without using the app, do I need two fuses on the fuse tapper to get enough power to the switch?
Hmm, not sure what problem you are having. I would recommend that you contact SwitchPros. Ask for Robert and he'll be able to help you out.
