    I’ve seen lots of girls maintain their stretched hair with the scrunchie method! It’s essentially grabbing sections of hair and wrapping those satin scrunchies along the body of them. They even use it to cut out heat stretching entirely! And I never notice any indents left in their hair that disrupt their curls so I really think you’ll love it!

    As I’m watching your video I just want to say thank you for reintroducing me to As I Am hair products! I forgot how much my hair loves this products! It’s has become a huge game changer in my wash and go, seriously. The curly jelly leaves my hair feeling super soft and defined. I just finished my wash day and wash and go set. All my products are As I am except my gel ( aunt Jackie don’t shrink gel ). I love the Combo so much! It actually leaves my hair super defined and soft, I’m surprise I don’t get any crunch from the product! Again thank you and enjoy the rest of you weekend!

    Your hair is growing so fast. I don't use my Denman brushes when I style because I feel there is a lot shrinkage. I might sometimes use the 3 rows Denman comb to define my hair.

    Hey Brittany! I usually use satin scrub goes to band my hair. I usually use heat the second day before I go to bed then band it. Then I band it every night until the wash and go is over. I get a lot of volume

    Okay hear me out my favorite combo right now is the Doux’s big Papa gel and the All About Curls high-definition gel from Sally’s. The most affordable combo and it's the only way I've been able to use the Doux’s gel. 🙌🏿

    Interesting video. I've been avoiding "brush styling", although what you did is not quite the same, to avoid too much shrinkage. However your hair did look more uniform so quid pro quo i guess. I'm amazed that you've been able to strech the in shower style fixer. I must be using too much. As an anecdote this week wngo with ufd was so tangled it was awful, so your comment resonated with me. For me the kinky curly custard and in shower style fixer work the best. As for streching, i dont because i dont know what im doing😂and banding makes my hair look low density.

  • @gladyswjsadvocacy4gapelimi225

    Nice. I've noticed the omission of a leave in conditioner/moisturizer in your uploads. I love the recent combos. I rarely do a WNG without a leave in. I also rarely experience flakes especially with CRN/UFD combos. To stretch without heat, try pulling up hair with a satin scarf or loose satin scruchies. I've recently been using side combs or the Puff Cuffs to help pull hair into a quasi-pineapple updo for stretch. The bonnet size may be the culprit. BTW I only use heat from the hooded drier to set my WNG or for DC. I hope this helps.

    🙌🙌🙌 for all the content. Perfection everytime 😁 I wanted to buy a denman d38 as Afrikan Hair God swears by it for detangling. But I'm cheap and it's expensive 😂, $40 😬, so I got a very similar dupe at TJ Maxx for $3. It actually has been amazing at detangling. Haven't used it for styling. Surprised you didn't run the brush through after you had product in, I try that sometimes with a little round black brush. Also I just sleep in a satin pillowcase. For elongation I would try a buff. Just put it on the right way, down, in the direction of your hair. Everyone pulls them up but that can mess up the set.

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, that brush is pretty expensive. I love a good dupe, what’s the brand? I typically like to just a tangle before adding in the product so I don’t brush the product out or waste product but it just depends. I may have to bite the bullet and go ahead and get a buff but I just don’t have a lot of faith in it. Lol I don’t want it to make my hair super flat. I always just go back to using the bonnet which works well over of every other option.

    I feel like buffs give a certain tightness that contributes (whether you want it to or not) to stretching the hair. Especially when you are purposeful in the placement of the hair.

      Yes use it! I think for larger sections, the Felicia Leatherwood is good for detangling, but I’m starting to lean back towards my Denmans. Or at least paddle brushes in general.

    to preserve the stretch & length, i braid my hair in sections before i gts than spray my braids until they’re damp before i unbraid them, a little manipulation like separating usually makes my curls come back

  • @chocolatecoils8200
    @chocolatecoils8200 Рік тому +1

    Lol honestly for the stretching.. my surface texture is too soft to band until I guess my hair is longer because it’s so hard to hide the parts from overnight banding so if I do stretch my hair with heat I just sleep on a satin pillow lmao. But normally I stretch by blasting my roots with warm air each morning to fluff it out rather than stretch it because I like for my hair to be more of a rounded fro rather than lay because I have medium density
    New edit: decided to band this past night and I did 8 sections.. 4 in the back and 2 on each side… it worked out I just blow dried it out a bit

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Рік тому

      Thanks for the update. I’ve used just the bonnet and that’s worked well but I feel as though stretching will help elongate my wash and go so I’m going to try and get some silk or satin scrunchies that are smaller and give it another try.

    Funny is the Denman is one of my favourite detangling brushes though it's originally not made for that purpose. My hair kind of preps different when I use the Denman vs the other popular brushes. Have you also noticed this? I feel like the way the bristles are made, are kind of more gentle to tight curls, since we've got so tiny coils. 🙈

    • @RabielleParfait
      @RabielleParfait Рік тому +1

      I think silk or satin scrunchies are effortless ways to stretch over night ❤

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  Рік тому +1

      I think it's hard to use when detangling medium to larger sections, but smaller sections its great. I agree that it preps different, which is why I liked using it before styling. But for me, detangling during the DC step is more difficult with the D38 than the FL.

  • @CherryBerry383
    @CherryBerry383 Рік тому +1

    I love my denman for clumping, when i tried doing wash and gos initially I couldn’t get my hair to clump right raking and smoothing. The gel hardening just gave me an odd ramen look when i tried it haha, so i still need some practice. the denman gives me little pen spring curls, so Im happy with it tho. I use the D4 and took out several rows to help with snagging (I only have the farthest left and right most rows + the one in the center, for a total of 3)
    Also Now I’m pretty convinced to get the UFD curl magic after I finish this bottle of Camille rose. I only hear positive reviews about UFD
