Great video, Matt. Just a suggestion on the sale storewide, maybe consider 20% off for items on or above a listed value of say $30, therefore eliminating the low cost/low profit margin items. When you consider your thrift time, fuel, listing and packing time, plus packaging costs etc, you don’t want to be working for free. Plus it brings down the average comping $ on what is already low margin. Just a suggestion 😊

Less than $20 goes in a bundle for $4-$5 each
I think there is a psychological predisposition towards sale items especially for younger buyers who have never experienced only annual or seasonal sales at b&m stores. Pre online shopping! 😂 You need to find two identical items, price one at $60 & one at $80. If unsold two weeks later put the higher one on sale at 25% off & see if it sells. Great idea for a video! 😉

I think it's like $24.95 for a basic store. Easy check on ebay's website. It comes out in your fees so you never 'pay it' if that makes sense

Newbie here. Sorry if this question has already been asked but do you test all of your games? Even just to make sure they load? What do you do if you don't have the necessary console? Love your vids and the channel, i have learnt alot.
no scratch no worries for anything media and by scratch i mean obvious scratches that look nasty. 99% of the time light surface scratches play completely fine so nope, I don't test games.

Bundle up some consoles and games if possible. Might help. As when I'm buying a console I'm not looking for it on its own needs a few games or a couple at least!
I've found equal success in selling consoles on their own and game lots on their own! It all sells well no matter how you do it!

I’ve tried running a few markdown sales with no success. I’ve had better luck doing the same % as a coupon and received a massive up tick in sales… bizarre!

Do you believe they are a steady catergoey that is always going to be worth something or that it will adventually die down.
I think there’s a shorter bubble for DVDs but with the constant new editions of video games coming out each year the video game market will always be popular. New sells well as does the old stuff, so I’ve swapped to have a larger focus on video games moving forward while still capitalising on the DVDs
I've gotten heaps of holes in one, but I guess it's not as impressive when it's minigolf 😅.

I don't remember if you do or not but do you typically promote your listings? Only asking because I do at 5% on 99% of my items. So off the top that's 5% I'm not getting if it sells thru promotion. Then throughout the day I'll send on average of 5-10% discount to watchers. I just started promoting my whole store this year and compared to last year my sales are up over 30%. I'm also offering free returns aswell so I'm sure that's boosting my store. So I'm not saying for me running a storewide sale would or wouldn't be worth it but at that point I'd have to stop accepting offers and make them buy the item outright.
i think youve nailed it in terms of me doing the exact same as you. I promote storewide at 3% and when I run a short markdown sale i dont accept offers or send best offers throughout the period I let people purchase at the 20% discount. It's only a flash sale and I don't like to do it regularly but in situations like this video I think it's a handy activation

Found a bargain at the old House of Mamba yesterday night. $32 for an original Cowboy Bebop DVD set. Might be cheaper to buy on Bluray but to me this is a classic set.
Since Australian company "Madman" stopped publishing anime it feels rare/special to buy their old shows. It's a category that might even go up in price if others are as nostalgic as me. Importing new shows or buying from international publisher "Crunchyroll" who replaced Madman doesn't feel as good. They have a smaller catelog as well so some series are much harder to find.

I have sold Crocs, but it is very hit or miss. The good ones need to be more unusual, like what you found. I like canvas editions and of course, anything limited edition. I think the most I have ever sold Crocs for was like $45. The traditional Crocs most people know really only sell if they are new and preferably a unique color/pattern.
P.S. I only put my whole store on sale for the holidays or something specific. Usually, I trade off sales between categories, or even brands, if I have a lot of say, Converse, that I need to move faster.
