Excellent video!! This is exactly how to do it!! Ignore the haters - I'm a parent to 2 toddlers, work a 9-6 Mon-Fri and what you set out is exactly how I run my ebay business. Photo/List/Pack in the evening from 9pm to 11pm. Hit the post office on my lunch break at work, and source at the weekends. With the extra income we were able to upgrade our car and also take the kids on a family holiday. Totally worth it
Omg I’m in bed at 9pm. No way I’d be up photographing/listing/packing items. I get up at 5:30am to work my full time job. I’m not willing to die of a heart attack to get $12,000 lol
@@TheAussieFlipper I am impressed, I believe there is something about your sleep pattern that has helped with that 'unbreakable schedule'... I need to figure out how I can get to bed earlier to try this. How do you relax and go to sleep so early?

@@TheAussieFlipper Alright just wondering as I have seen many american youtubers such as thriftschool selling there and was wondering if its good here too. I might give it a go.
Thanks for the great vid. Is there a reason you don’t use Sendle for postage over Aus Post ? Sendle seems cheaper and they pick up from your house saving you a trip to post office ?
I like this video because its basically a classic. You mentioned 40% of listings being a best offer, what determines if you decide to make best offer available for an item? Also, does this mean you wake up at 4:30am!? What time do you go to bed? You've got me thinking I have to change my sleep schedule!
This was fantastic, Matt. I’ve been about a 1/4 time eBay seller the past few years since I got into real estate. I have one personal loan and a credit card that I want to pay off. After watching your video I’ve decided to crank it up on eBay again and create a plan to get those fully paid off within a year solely using eBay income. This way I can devote my real estate commissions to other investments and my daily living expenses. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great Video Matt … just wondering if you think selling on EBay without a store can hinder your sales ? As a single parent working I just can’t commit to $27.95 a month at the moment… I would love to know your thoughts on selling with & without a eBay store 😀
initially I don't think you need a store but once you grow to 100+ active listings I think having a store has it's perks. If you look at the opportunity of having a store will generate more sales that $27.95 cost takes care of itself. The big perk is store promotion i think. Running a sale.. but you need a few items in store to be able to do that effectively! Also, thanks for joining as a new member, that's so cool to have you a part of the group!
THANK YOU! This is amazing and exactly what I needed. I have been on vacation mode in my eBay for several months due to divorce and moving, and I've been apprehensive to start again due to that awful word, FEAR. I'm 56 years old with one child left at home in school. My income is very low, and my goal is to be able to switch to eBay full-time within 2 years, which shouldn't be hard considering my current income.
I'm not been pessimistic mate I'm been realistic if they are making enough money to just cover bills how can you afford to buy stock for your shop CONSISTENTLY? I'm asking a genuine question not realistic for some people I'm actually in the process of starting an eBay shop up I'm not a pesimist

Great video. International shipping is great as long as you're an established account with over 200 feedback and you're 100% accurate in your descriptions. If you're a new seller who's learning the ropes, hold off on it until you've had enough experience ie: 200+ positive transactions where nothing has gone wrong.
So let me use my life as an example of why this isn’t as simple as it sounds. I get up at 5:30am because I start work at 7. No time in the morning for ebaying. Work all day, half hour lunch, can’t get to a post office get food and get back to work in half an hour. Get home at 4:30. Kids go to sport training. Kids need dinner. Clothes need to be washed. Dog needs to be walked. Kids need help with homework. In bed at 9pm. Weekends up at crack of dawn because kids play sports. House needs to be cleaned. Groceries. Food prep. Kids take time and energy. The schedule you listed means neglecting your kids and ignoring them for a year lol Not to mention most people who need to sell on EBay don’t have thousands of $$ to source the $35 x $50 items they need to list in the first place. You just don’t realise how much easier life is without kids and how much spare time you actually have.
Listing views highlight interest in your item and let’s you know it’s being seen. Usually it’s a pricing issue or some missing information to get the deal done! Keep up the good work mate
@@zovocs unsure mate, more views isn't necessarily a good thing. focus on days listed. If there isn't many views tweak the title and price if there is alot of views tweak price.
