Modern Warfare 2's story feels like a 5 episode side plot in a TV show, it doesn't have much to do with things that came before or after. And MW3 is just slop, Makarov is like a dollar store version of himself constantly in a cycle of: Terrorist plot, 141 stops plot, next terrorist plot. Like let him pull one attack off successfully so the story can escalate a little.
He did. The bomb vest on the flight to Sochi that blew up over Urzikstan was flawless on his end. the story with him and vic zakhaev continues with the spec ops mode on mw19 and ends there, thats why there is no more info about them in the other mws
A better plot twist could’ve been that the real antagonist of modern warfare 2 could’ve been Rodolfo Parra. And also has links with AQ, Hassan, Konni, Makarov, and has some links with Cordis Die, Perseus, Raul Menendez, and the federation from ghosts.

What's odd to me in the writing for MW 2019 is that there is no real question about putting all those civilians at risk at the embassy by not releasing The Wolf, but they have this big conversation about using The Butcher's family against him. What is the difference? Sure, you're not holding a gun to the heads of those in the embassy, but you are the ones who put them in the line of fire. You sacrificed them. I see no difference in the moral weight of those decisions. I don't think you can say one is crossing a line and the other isn't crossing that same line.
Don’t know if you mentioned it but all cods are interconnected mainly MW, and Black ops games are all connected. Sorry someone help me out here, how is Alex alive in the events of MW3 if he sacrificed himself to activate the bomb that was set up by Barkov in the previous Modern Warfare storyline?
Mw3 was considered one of the worst cod campaigns for a reason. Although Alex was presumed dead in mw, he turned out to be alive in warzone story without any reason given how he escaped that explosion. Same as Graves story conveyed in warzone that he wasn't in that tank although he was presumed dead in mw2 campaign. Sledgehammer for some reason thought it would be a good idea to tie warzone and campaign story into a one huge mess.
As much as people hate on MW3. I love it, MW2 2009 and the reboot are my favourite, i know MW3 couldve been better but you gotta atleast give credit for how much effort they put in. Sure it wasnt the best but atleast we got to see shepherd die 😅😅
The way he died makes no sense. In the original he went rogue and died as a rogue. In this one he's clearly still working as a General. The "good guys" just straight up assassinated a sitting general in his office. If they don't address this by making 141 wanted terrorists in mw4 (they wont because the good guys always win) the narrative becomes stupid.
It all started so strong, but i feel all the warzone story content really took away from the campaigns, and it all kinda went off the rails by about halfway through MW2. Shepard was much better in the originals (actually felt some gravitas to him, and his betrayal actually had weight). Graves was poorly utilized and his twists felt weak. Makarov was some B-Tier "all according to keikaku dori" antagonist who couldnt really be stopped, was mearly killed multiple times, and has been captured too many times, all of which made any tension fizzle every time we suddenly catch up with the mastermind, who is also easy to track. For that matter, in the original MW2, he starts WW3 with one act. In this, he tries 4-5 different mass casualty actions, to little to no affect at the end of the day. Soap dies frankly anti-climactically, same with Shepard, and nothing has come close to the sheer OOF that was the 4-5 part fight to defend DC, in particular "Of Their Own Accord" and the intensity/desperation of the whole battle for DC collapsing around Ramirez and the rangers (seriously, watch a vid with all the background chatter on the radio captioned and hear how everything is falling apart). The need for Warzone to be what it is and for activision to profit off of it with every new title, adding major story snippets here and there, has been a major detriment to it all
Alex explanation happens in MWII Raid missions & Makarov is thrown in prison when he is first captured by TF141 in a flashback Campaign mission in MWIII that takes place between MWI & MWII.

I agree
Thank-you
It all started so strong, but i feel all the warzone story content really took away from the campaigns, and it all kinda went off the rails by about halfway through MW2. The need for Warzone to be what it is and for activision to profit off of it with every new title, adding major story snippets here and there, has been a major detriment to it all
You forgot Raids
So how is Alex alive and how did Makarov get thrown in prison
Alex explanation happens in MWII Raid missions & Makarov is thrown in prison when he is first captured by TF141 in a flashback Campaign mission in MWIII that takes place between MWI & MWII.
Did you not see the mission where Price and Soap capture Makarov in Verdansk than put him in prison?
Could u do story of spec ops
yeah i should look into that!
Im confused about soap death in the original MW3 soap died right before price killed Makarov. So he died twice!???
MW1 Campaign: Great
MW2 Campaign: Okay
MW3 Campaign: Awful, so terrible
Good thing he didnt kill the baby
how come alex came back to life at 46:47 when he walked into the death at 16:12
They just love killing soap😭💀 they remake the modern warfare story just to kill soap again😔😔😭😭😭
