I feel you, these were fun games. However Im glad things ended on a good note with Frank and Chuck. After years of fighting zombies, maniacs, and the government, they can finally rest.

Quick Tip about the helicopter fight 35:14
Use the ping-pong ball gun and try to shoot it between the rotors of the helicopter. The ping-pong balls technically do damage, but it’s minuscule. However thanks to the game physics, each ball bounces rapidly between the copter and the blades so fast that it multiplies the damage and destroys it in seconds.

i don't know I feel like the way dead rising 1 looks adds to the time period it's set it and the horror but that's what I think.
They kinda already did that with the wii port of the game even going as far to even use the same guns from RE4 original
I’d rather a reboot tbh, with the pc port rerelease there’s literally no reason not to play the original right now.

My personal theory is, that DR Of the Records, is a re-telling of DR2 but Frank West wrote himself into it. It feels like he wrote a book about it and replaced Chuck with himself and we as the reader get to explore Frank's telling of the events
So Frank lied and said he Chuck’s daughter died and he killed Chuck despite the both of them being alive
Well it wouldnt make sense to add the whole chuck psycho boss fight though. Also rebecca survived in off the record while in DR2 she died from that gunshot so it would be kind of weird tbh
Fun fact: Capcom was going to make Off the Record canon if it sold better than the original 2. Unfortunately it sold poorly, so we got the story we see here

a shame we don't have a 5 to update on if Chuck, Nick and company ever get to fighting back the organization behind the outbreak. i know in the good ending that Frank wrote a book about his zombie experience and stuff
I’m not sure if we ever will, remember nick in 3 is immune with others too. If they do make another it should be almost last of us type of game but with a father and son, chuck and nick. Because nick is in love with anna his daughter.
Their actual was going to be a dr5 that was in development for awhile. It’s rumored to have been a prequel and the main character would’ve been a younger chuck green. You should look it up the footage available online is really interesting.

I absolutely adore this series, and I am super glad to have grown up with it. And to all the people out there in the comments who somehow managed to find something to enjoy in DR4, you guys have my full respect. You managed to find something you enjoy in something absolutely hate, and I can't help but find that awesome.
To be honest i only enjoyed dr4 because i always wanted to explore willamette outside of the mall, that and a few small things, but other than that, awful game. hopefully next year something will be said about a new dead rising game!

@@shakentv4009 I don't really view dr3 as a fail, dr3 just wasn't as good as the last 2, the only reason why dr3 was seen as that is because the first 2 were such masterpieces, and the story of dr3 is kind of a fever dream. Dr4 was complete and utter dogshit, they tried to continue it after 3 even though 3 was supposed to be the ending.
if they want to revive the franchise, they should either release remakes and they need to bring OUR Frank West back, that Frank in dr4 was not ours, so we need the og va back and we need franks hairline to go back to receeding
I enjoyed not having a timer like in the other games, like timed missions and events are stressfull and i like taking my time exploring and doing things at my own pace, having to worry about timed events or bosses takes the fun out of it

This game franchise deserves more love! It’s my favorite franchise of all time, and I would love it if Capcom rebooted it with a remake in the style of their Resident Evil remakes

I can't tell if you're making fun of Dead Rising 4 or not, but if not then unfortunately I must break it to you that Dead Rising 5 was officially cancelled as Campcom Vancouver was shut down in 2019 :(

Quick Tip for Dead Rising 1, when you first fight Carlito Keyes at the food court you should find a mannequin and break it to get a mannequin torso. Use this on Carlito as you will beat him and most other psychos in 2-3 hits same can apply if you use the mini chainsaws from Adam the clown combined with 3 books to increase the durability. With that the 1-3 chainsaws will last you the whole game.
would of been great if they Stuck to the list in DR3. cause Nick was 12 but in DR1 it was Lisa Jackson that was listed as 12. would of made for great Foreshadowing but I guess the Developers went a different way
Headcanon it as Carlito using fake names to prevent his plans from being foiled.
Considering how in Dead Rising 3 the whole reason the Los Perdidos outbreak happened was because Isabela was trying to find who had the cure. It would make logical sense that Carlito would have the names be fake ones instead of real ones.
Hot take, I embraced every DR game. They were all fun in each way. My favorite is a toss between DR2 and DR3.
DR3 was good for me only because of the nostalgia when I was a kid who loved DR2 and was happy to get a new xbox one and to have DR3 as the first game to play on it while now I think DR3 was pretty bad while DR2 is an amazing 9/10 and would be a 10/10 for me if there was proper controller support for the game on steam

Dead Rising holds a special place in my heart. It caused my first major upgrade in gaming causing me to go from a 17" CRT to a 30" 720p(but maybe 1080i) flat Screen

Considering the story of Dead Rising 3, I still feel the Dead Rising 2 : Off the record is canon story-line that fits more better. The whole way Chuck and his daughter turn out seem to fit better if they made it seem that he really did think he lost his daughter.
That's why he becomes the way he does in DR3.
The problem is that Katey herself is in DR3, and she got killed by zombies in the DR2 OTR timeline
i still DOnt understand how the 50 names that carlito had #12 was a "Lisa Jackson" but #12 was supposed to be Nick Ramos

Dead Rising 4 didn't have an amazing story but the Christmas aesthetic, and the gameplay was really fun. Capcom have a tendency to listen to what fans want and a Dead Rising remake or DR5 will eventually happen.

Whenever I played Off The Record, I was so mixed.
I LOVED getting to play as Frank West through 2. But then they decided to pull the twist that Stacey was actually the real villain all along, and I HATED it.
I was only 16-17, but I had loved her character, so hated what the twist did to it.

I think that’s a negative to the game because the timer is a big part of dead rising. It immerses you more into the events and determining the best courses of action to reach a destination

Extremely underrated franchise imo, even tho dr4 may have been a let down.
Graphics are sweet as heck, including the sicc details (i mean, stab a zombie with a showerhead and it sprays blood), cool characters, and the right amount of humor without getting silly.
Not to mention the *lack of* ridiculously crazy mutations, just the classic hordes of walkers!
