Back then, people have loved MW 1 but they didn't praise MW2 in the same way and finally, MW3 saw real hate. That wasn't a peak of COD, take of your nostalgia glasses, only first MW and Black ops were peak of franchise - not all of them. But the nostalgia works for Battlefield as well, now BF3 and 4 are considered as masterpiece, back then they were in the center of hate from whole community.
They left infinity ward to make Titanfall though, good game as well, I heard the original development team was coming back for CoD 2019 and pretty sure its Modern Warfare 4, it has to be.
Honestly, even though it had some plotholes, this was one of the best written stories i've seen. The reason why I liked it so much is probably because those were the first fps games who were set in the current times with real cities, real places, even inspired by some real events. Every fps game was/is either about the past or the future.

People start asking for revenge. Recently you must have seen the India - Pakistan case. 44 Indian troops were killed in a suicide attack by a terrorist group created and supported by Pakistan. The entire nation wanted revenge and the Indian media played a big role in war mongering. After two weeks, India conducted air strikes in Pakistan and the situation escalated. So you can imagine the situation which is shown in the game.

I think this video doesnt touch on one important part of the story - that it was Shepard who was in command of US forces fighting Al Assad's insurgency, and he feels the need for retaliation after losing 30.000 men because of that nuclear detonation in MW1. He then constructs the plan with Makarov to start Russo-American war [MW2] using Allen's body at the airport massacre. Later he tries to "tie loose ends" by killing TF141 members who gathered intel from Makarov's safehouse that would compromise Shepard's connections and he sends his Shadow Company to kill both Makarov and remaining TF141 members at the plane graveyard.

The story was impressive, I loved the characters. New enemies. It's not Russians anymore, it's all of Latin America vs the United States. I thought nothing could go wrong. The resistance was only able to give him first aid, but it was already too serious. Modern Warfare reminds us that life isn't a fairytale and dear people also die.
Back when games were great because they were showing what it was like back then. Cod wat showed the brutality of the biggest conflict in our history. What did cod ww2 did? just told us at the start of the game that 60 million plus people died but didnt showed us how brutal the conflict was...
I don’t know if I’m wrong, but I find it quite intriguing the way they set up the plot makes it easy for adding stuff in the story, like the men of general Shepard, Yuri, and Yuri and Makarov in MW3
MARINE CORP WARRIOR you do know halo 1 2-3 where known as the reclaimer series and halo 4-5 are their own series of games that really isn’t supposed to be revolving around master chief it’s more revolving around who’s going to be the next spartan that humanity looks up to
Try Ace Combat 4, 5 and Zero. Trust me those have very rare storylines and they r damn good! Perhaps even better than Modern Warfare series. One of the best video games i ever know.
I loved the radio chatter in MW2, expecially in the burger king mission and in the DC mission. It sounds realistic, but sad at the same time. Many of those chatters are last calls from people who know they're going to die soon

Enter Name I mean considering after black ops 2 the campaigns for cod tanked hardcore hell even MW3s campaign was meh compared to 1 and 2 only thing that kept me going was to see makarov dead and tbh black ops 1 has a better campaign in general and while makarov is a solid enough villain for mw2 and 3 Menendez is a much more dangerous villain as a whole as shown in every ending in bo2 except the good ending and honestly the fact that ghost AW IW and black ops 3s campaigns were all trash I’ll take a game mode that People actually play vs trash campaigns that do nothing but take up space while the MW story is fun it’s very generic and predictable in many cases which isn’t a bad thing if done well enough but everyone knows you play cod for the multiplayer and zombies at least in treyarcs case because there are many games with vastly superior stories out

When the devs had balls. Just make another good ass series already. Stop with this "one time campaign" bullshit. I wanted a second ghost. Then I got infinite warfare and now since we moved on, I need another campaign of Infinite Warfare for closure. But, god damn it. They keep coming up with new stories without finishing what they originally made.
I'd say that Infinite Warfare's campaign closed up pretty nicely, actually.

But, I liked the setting. The Settlement Defense Front was heavily damaged, their leader dead, but the war is still ongoing and I wanted to at least have it come to an end.
Like I said, they make a story, but never finish. I really wanted a second Ghost. The cliffhanger at the end was fucking nostalgia. I actually thought they would make a second Ghost. But, I got IW instead.

I was so syked for another Ghost. The story was impressive, I loved the characters. New enemies. It's not Russians anymore, it's all of Latin America vs the United States. I thought nothing could go wrong. Why would they need to make anything else? There's already great potential in their hands!
I can only bare what comes next for Infinity Ward to develop. Just...one more Ghost. Come on! At least finish the bed time story!

@@sebastiancastellanos3185 I don't know if that's possible. He fell from the 6th floor of a building, most likely breaking his bones, causing an internal hemorrhage and massive blunt trauma. The resistance was only able to give him first aid, but it was already too serious. Modern Warfare reminds us that life isn't a fairytale and dear people also die.

I loved the radio chatter in MW2, expecially in the burger king mission and in the DC mission. It sounds realistic, but sad at the same time. Many of those chatters are last calls from people who know they're going to die soon
