After Kona goes off to her home you ought to continue this series with shelter dogs! It’d help get more dogs adopted and it’d help show how to teach an older, or more stubborn dog to behave well
Yes!! Im fostering a dog soon and I’ll have to teach her pretty much everything including being fine around a lot of cars because my apartment is on a very busy street and the dog has to go outside to pee
It would be super cool to see some videos for people who live in high rise buildings and/or have small dogs. A lot of this atuff is so tough when you live in the core of a city.
Today, was my third attempt walking my 2 month old puppy. I should’ve watched this video first. Her second time was at a park and she did great. Today, I saw progression on the way back. I’ll implement these tips on our next go round.
I'm finding this new series by Zak George provides an excellent, experienced walk-through on real-time issue you can expect to challenge you during the first weeks of taking on a new dog, and it provides excellent accurate informed morsels of knowledge and reassurance for dog owners -great for first times, and refresher watching dog fans. There are many ways to get it wrong, it's in large part trial and error with your own dog, but you get a true sense of how this is gotten through with this series - and it's launched before Christmas, just in time to have all the episodes on speed dial should a puppy be joining you over the festive season 👣🐾
Hi Zak, We just got a 3 month old leonberger puppy, Miley. We love the videos and Miley has learned so much already. We have been slowly working on leash training. Can you offer a suggestion when the puppy just decides to lay down during the walk? I try to pick her up but she rolls over and makes it difficult to pick up. She tries her best to keep from walking. Around our property, off leash, she follows us 90% of the time. She's a very laid back breed. Thanks for your videos. We've owned several dogs but seeing you train has helped us understand a dogs differently. Thanks
I am forever grateful for my trainer and these videos. In the end my pup would hate walking on the lead in the garden and house so we just went for it outside and all the smells distracted her from the lead. With a whole load of praise and mild correction when she was about to get interested in the lead she was great! Now she only bites the lead when shes tired. She is now 7 months old.
Consider training videos on older dogs. Mine is three next week and still needs training. She listens inside but outside still needs work. Few other things too! Think it would be great series!
I have a rescue dog and it took her like 6 months to learn how to walk on a leash. But it literally took 5 minutes to get crate trained. And your dog looks so cute 😍!

Hello Zak, I have been applying some of your training techniques with my new Sprocker puppy, I love the way you trained your border collie to walk on the lead in the suburbs, not letting the dog get too anxious by letting him take it at his own pace, very intuitive.I am doing the same thing with my puppy on the lead in and out of the house and he is a pleasure to train when we are both relaxed and not anxious. I've had puppies in the past and trained them pretty well but with these videos my newest pup is learning so fast. Thank you so much for making these and stepping through every stage of the learning process!!
Potty train has worked and crate training but leash work is my next step, God help me. But his only 8 weeks and seems like a genius so I’m not worried. Blessed with her intelligence thank God. Your videos are amazing. Thank you.
I'm picking up our new puppy in 3 weeks and extremely excited! I've been watching these videos to prepare myself as best I can. These are a huge help and I feel like I'm learning a lot. Thank you!
Zak & Bri, thank you for all of your videos. Your training of Inertia helped me a lot with Fergus, who is 13 months old now. He is very good most of the time, but still reverts to crazy puppy. This past week I had major surgery, and he has been very chill. Instinct, maybe?

Thank you so much Zak, we've had our first puppy for a week now and have been following your advice, so far it going very well. Our dog is a Cockapoo and looks a lot like Kona. I love the positivity of your training. Our biggest training issue so far has been biting but I'm so encouraged by his behaviour already that I am sure won't be a long term issue. I am finding little and often works well. First night for him sleeping alone tonight I think as I've been sleeping with him near his crate. He likes to eat his leash but is slowly getting it. It's very early days.

The grass problem is a huge issue with my dog. He will hates walking on it cause he thinks it's gross and especially when it's wet (and it rains a lot here). He will resist moving to such a degree that he's like an anchor. It makes every potty walk extremely unenjoyable for either of us. I'm hoping you can go into more detail about this with kona... pleeeeasse 🤞🤞! 😅
Hi Zak, love you videos - our little 9 wk old Elkhound has cruised through his obedience and potty training the past week. He’s really struggling with being left alone during the day though - we can’t leave for longer than 10 minutes without an absolute meltdown. Sharp barks, howling, jumping on the pen walls, the works. He does this once a night too, but settles after 10-15 minutes, whereas during the day he tantrums endlessly (the longest we’ve left him is 45 minutes of straight barking/howling). Can you please make a video on how to build up to leaving puppies alone during the day?
my German Shepherd dog is pf 4 months and is really not intrested in playing fetch with me, and when he does, it's just for 2 to 3 rounds and then again starts to do mischivious things and he never leaves the ball or frisbee from his mouth. What to do???
@@DivyanshSingh-vk6zc make it really exciting like make it so crazy and make your pup think that it’s the most exciting crazy interesting toy everrrr! If still he doesn’t like it try switching up toys it doesn’t have to be a ball! It can be anything your puppy likes! For example I use a squeaky stuffed toy at first and she really liked it!! Does your dog know come yet this will help!
ZAK can you plz do a video teaching inertia how to swim. I have a dog that’s afraid of the pool. Baths are ok. But the pool/beach freaks her out. Thank you!!
First of all, my guy, your Nike game is VERY strong. And always spotless. Much respect Secondly, my wife and I have a three year old mini aus labradoodle, and just welcomed another 9 week old mini to our family three days ago! She’s very sweet and is learning quickly... but... she’s a crier. We’re attempting to let her “cry it out” in the crate at night and each night it’s less and less crying. I’ve been told this is the best way to get her familiar with the crate and that by not acknowledging her crying, it teaches her that behavior does not get rewarded.... that being said, I don’t want her to develop any more separation anxiety than she may already have and would like to know if I should approach it differently. Any tips or anything I should change/be thinking about? (Loving these videos thank you for the help!)
Try a few toys in the crate, a appropriately sized kong toy stuffed with peanut butter to occupy her(you can even freeze the peanut butter to make it last a bit longer. Rewarding her with treats while she is calm in the crate to create positive associations with the crate can help too.
I went step by step last year with our doodle Izzy, she knows every trick, she thinks shes a human because she cannot sleep unless she has her head on a pillow like her parents lol.
Would you tug on the leash as a desensitizer for a larger dog? For a mastiff, tension is NOT okay. We've taught Bina that if there's any slight tension, she needs to come back to a no tension position if not a heel as requested. No pulling. Do you think desensitizing tension be a good idea with soon-to-be very large puppies?
leash pressure. if your normal flat collar does work then I recommend a prong collar. despite the "Prong" in the name, it is not harmful ua-cam.com/video/OfcjlybYwFs/v-deo.html go to 8:00 and he will shortly explain the prong collar. he also has a lot more videos explaining it more in-depth but I don't feel like searching for them eight now
What are your Recommendations for someone living in an apartment and doesn’t have a yard to practice in? We only have a noisy, busy, distracting street.
Man if you weren’t getting what you hoped for with her, I couldn’t imagine your disappointment with my corgi 😭 I’m super struggling with leash training him! He’s about as stubborn as they come 😅
My dog is really a wonder dog. We have her for 2 weeks now and she's almost fully potty trained, leash training is going very good too but he always pulls when he knows that we're near home and he's always curious about other people and animals. Apart from that he's doing amazing. Any more tips for leash walking and being calm around other people?
For the being calm around new people (dogs to!), try to never let him meet a new person until he calmed down. One of the best things is to ask the person to approach calmly, but only if he's being good
I really like this series and I like your methods. When I train dogs I prefer that they walk in the ditch and go sniffing, peeing and pooping. I don't want the dog to walk right by my side and stare at me, they don't get a really good walk from that. BUT! I do train them to not pull the leash, so walk in the ditch, go sniffing, but no pulling. Thank you for this series!

@@Tiango001 wow, you live near india? thats cool.
I love how you trained inertia, very helpful, and this series is the best.
Bro best dog trainer and this dudes shoe game is crazy
Zak i just got a new puppy and your series is very helpful at this time. Also my puppy is just 30 days old.
Thank you Zak for everything.
What the heck! That is waaaaaaaay to early where did you get him? They should be at least 8 weeks le before going to a new home not FOUR WEEKS
@@MyMiracleMutts The thing is that the breeder did not take good care of her and also its mother will not feed her milk
So we thought it would be better to take her home than keep her there
You’re helping me so much with my new puppy. 🙏😍🥰
Kona is getting so big! You're doing a great job training her!
my parents say i'm a wild but good behaved doggo 🥴which one am i?! 😜
Thank you! I have a three month old and she’s doing great.
Thank very much Zak!! I love your videos. They are helping me a lot to raise my little puppy.
Getting a puppy this weekend and this is SO helpful!
I love your videos, you're getting me ready to get a dog after 20+ years. Keep up the good content.!!!
This series is great!! So helpful :)
Being an owner of a doodle and getting a new baby doodle in April, I do my own grooming and have found the WaterPic dog bath is a wonder bathing tool
I need videos on stubborn breeds. My family is becoming frustrated with our 10 week on HUSKY. They are so stubborn!
This series has really helped me train my pup
my German Shepherd dog is pf 4 months and is really not intrested in playing fetch with me, and when he does, it's just for 2 to 3 rounds and then again starts to do mischivious things and he never leaves the ball or frisbee from his mouth. What to do???
Same here!
These worked for my dog very well I’ll watch more videos about you
I'm going to get my new puppy tomorrow I AM SO EXCITED
Zac the dog talker! YOU are the best.
Awesome! loving the series! keep up the great work!
Just got a puppy yesterday
Loving this dog series ✨
Excellent! Learning so much 👍
Because of you I was able to teach 4mo puppy how to sit, in three minutes, thank you ❤️
I really love your series
I hope that you post a video on teaching bite pressure
My dog got concerned when he heard your puppy barking and went to the door. 😂
Gentle positive training
Could these videos have captions added? It would be so appreciated.
ZAK can you plz do a video teaching inertia how to swim. I have a dog that’s afraid of the pool. Baths are ok. But the pool/beach freaks her out. Thank you!!
The videos are a great supplement to your books!
First of all, my guy, your Nike game is VERY strong. And always spotless. Much respect
Secondly, my wife and I have a three year old mini aus labradoodle, and just welcomed another 9 week old mini to our family three days ago!
I love watching ur vids I am getting a dog for Christmas so I am in love with ur vids and I like how u do long and detailed vids
Hi zak can u pls teach us how to teach ur dog how to go up the stairs? Thank you
leash pressure. if your normal flat collar does work then I recommend a prong collar. despite the "Prong" in the name, it is not harmful
ua-cam.com/video/OfcjlybYwFs/v-deo.html go to 8:00 and he will shortly explain the prong collar. he also has a lot more videos explaining it more in-depth but I don't feel like searching for them eight now
We are enjoying you videos. They are very helpful.
What are your Recommendations for someone living in an apartment and doesn’t have a yard to practice in? We only have a noisy, busy, distracting street.
She is the cutest dog ever
Zak where did u get the harness it looks only because u use it
What type of harness do you use for Kona. I bought one for my 12 week old pit and it’s big and bulky. Not to mention hard to adjust.
Love your channel so much pls can you do a video on learning her name I’m having trouble with that! Thank you your so helpful
Man if you weren’t getting what you hoped for with her, I couldn’t imagine your disappointment with my corgi 😭 I’m super struggling with leash training him! He’s about as stubborn as they come 😅
Mr Zak iced out with the new air forces 😎
What a beautiful home
