Bye Kona! Loved watching her and Inertia!
Please give an update on Kona when she reaches full size!!!! I want to see how big she gets!
Favorite Kona moment was actually an Inertia moment... when Inertia "told" Mom that Kona was chewing on Dad's shoe.
Awhh bye Kona!! I bet Inertia will miss her too. This puppy series will come in handy when we get a puppy, hope it will behave as well as Kona.
Love the “takes 2 years” message again. Wonderful resource. We have our rescue collie/Lurcher 1 year and have really good off lead recall now - and the “settle” is working well too - Tanx a million
I have had dogs pretty much my whole life. This series truly helped me know the things I've done correctly and incorrectly over the years. Me and my wife are bringing home a new golden retriever, poodle mix (a golden doodle but more retriever look). I can't wait to put this all to the test. Thank you so much Zak for helping me improve my knowledge to give a puppy/dog the best life experience. I'm so exited.
Been a pleasure watching Kona!! Hope to see her again sometime in the future for an update.
Your wish will come true! Tune in Wednesday!
For your next series, you should go to a shelter and train the dogs there! I bet the dogs there would love that!
Zak just wanted to let you know how much your book and videos have helped me. We picked up our puppy yesterday in Greer, SC. She is a 9 week old Cavapoo. She spent the night in the crate you recommended and I used your tips. Worked great. Potty training has been going good again using your tips. She has fetched, sat, down and look at me. Keeping my fingers crossed for a repeat performance tonight. Almost forgot having decent results with leave it. Pat yourself on the back for me. Thanks so very much Randy
Absolutely the most wonderful puppy ever! Kona is so smart, curious, and willing to comply. ❤️
Gonna miss Kona so much! Shes such a smart puppy...
Kona is such a sweet dog. She did so well. Thanks for sharing these great tips.
I'm going to miss Kona so much! I literally started crying when Zak said "today is Kona's last day with us"! 😭But Im SUUUPPPERRRR excited for the next series!!! I'm really hoping Zak will be working with rescue dogs!!
The next series will be with Moira, a German shepherd rescue dog :)
@@Miarije Oh that's cool! How do you know? (I just want to see if I'm missing something lol)
@@WaggingTailsDogTraining By following him on instagram (zakgeorge)! He posts lots of extra stuff there, including sneakpeaks for future videos. As well as facebook where he also regularly posts updates :)
@@Miarije Ohhhhhh!! Thank you! I don't have insta sadly, but thanks for the update, I really appreciate it!
@@WaggingTailsDogTraining No problem! If you do have facebook then you could check there too, there's a few videos of Moira already. Otherwise the first episode should come out towards the end of this month!
This series with Kona was so great, gonna miss her but her family will be happy to have a well trained fur baby back - can’t wait to see a new puppy/dog in training. We will be getting our new puppy in late April- little boy Aussiedoodle Chantz can’t wait to start working with him after all the great training tips from this channel. Chantz will be joining our two girls Willow Grace (Aussiedoodle) and Sophie Mae (our Australia Shepherd)
Aww I'm gonna miss kona 😩. Also I still can't believe how great inertia is sometimes.. how she just settled right after you broke up the play.. what a good girl.
Fantastic series! I will really miss it, and sweet Kona.
Thank you ! Bye Kona have a wonderful life! Have enjoyed watching her learn. I have a lab pup same age. Thank you Zak for the wonderful videos! Greetings from Pennsylvania.
Hi Zac just received your book. Can't wait to get our puppy. You will make an amazing Father some day🐈😊
Can we get a Kona highlights reel/bloopers?? 😭
A tip: watch movies on Kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Carlos Bradley definitely, I've been using kaldroStream for since december myself :D
This was an amazing series can’t wait for what’s next
These videos and the book have been really helpful in training my best wee buddy Loki, the Westie. He’s six months old and has learned a lot. I love him to bits.
Soooooo grateful I found your Channel. I’m taking in a puppy and I’m gonna follow this guide religiously
I just got your books on Audible, Zak! Well, 2 or three days ago. Went through them already! I put in a whole bunch of bookmarks!😅 They've helped ne already - I've been struggling with Lay Down, and in your books I found little tweaks that I've been missing despite watching a bunch of videos!
Your books are truly awesome and super helpful! With your books and your videos I am confident training both of my puppies (yeah, I know two at once..🙈🙈).Thank you🙏❤😍
Good job!!! I’m getting my pup March 30 and sure wish we had someone like you in our area!!
Hey Zak can you show us how to train a little difficult pup like a beagle or Frenchie.
Yes please! Beagle training! Much different personality than Kona.
i think along with the breeds you mentioned, a border collie is also quite a hard breed to train(i mean, they're smart but also VERY energetic) so you could check out his videos on inertia
@@zharaireland2646 Yeah I have watched all the videos on Inertia and I loved it
@@zharaireland2646 It' a very different thing though: BCs are not hard to train at all, you just need to get their energy out first but they get stuff right away, while beagles need to do thing many times before learning a behaviour and they have very different instincts than BCs. I have personal experience with both breeds.
We had a beagle that took FOREVER to train, but it was worth it because he was so full of love
This series has been super helpful with my mutt. Thanks, Zak!
Zak, your the best dog trainer ever! I started watching your videos and fell in love with Kona so much that I found a breeder in my hometown and reserved a golden doodle (no Irish doodles to be found nearby) but I have to wait a whole year!! Enough time to learn all your great training tips. Thank you for making these very informative videos, they’re GREAT!
Gonna miss kona but she’s so cute as always amazing concepts Zak
Inertia is gonna miss kona too
Aww inertia looks so cute with the birthday hat
Thanks so much! We’ve used your series to train our new puppy!
Do you by chance remember in which episode he showed his process of teaching settle?
Kona has been amazing to watch! What a smart girl! Keep the videos coming...I’m really learning a lot!
BYEEE Kona! My little poodle girl is also 14 weeks right now, and so much like Kona, this series has been particularly insightful to me. :D
Yes! I do believe Kona is the best puppy ever!
This series helped me so much and continues to help me with my baby Bloodhound, Earl. Thank you!
So much enjoyed as well as greatly appreciated all the hands on as well as it doesn't always go to plan approach. Would love to see how Kona and her owners are doing... Thank you x
Kona, don’t go!!! She’s such a smart girl! I’ll miss her!
Waiting for the upcoming series with Moira and Zak yay!
Kona is lucky! I will miss her :) Thanks all the advise Zak! It was great to watch her vids!
Aw will miss Kona! Will you do pupdates to show us how she is getting on? Thank you! 🙏🙏
I'm gonna miss this sweet girl! You should totally do a follow-up on her in future uploads. 😃
The neighbour's cat came to play with my puppy of 10 weeks. What a wonderful babysitter. They play in the same way as these two!
Great series! Loved every video and look forward to seeing the next!
Having A Doggo 🐕 is a bliss "When You are with Dog....You have No Anxiety,Stress and No mood Swings" I realised it when I owned a Golden Retriever Puppy....Her name is Pecco ❤️☺️.....!!!!
Nah man I have a golden puppy and he is a lot of work but also makes me happy but also very mad. But when he gets older Ill get all the cuddles in the world
@@Joshpods 😂Sure Mate....Mine puppy is Somehow Don't make me Mad....She is a good one....Quick learner as well
Enjoyed this video, such a precious pup 🤗
Love this training session to this pup 🐶 💕
I am weeping
Kona is such a good dog! And she's already grown so much!! I've watched every single one of your videos, and I'm looking forward to putting it to practice when I get my own puppy in a few months :) For a future project, I'd love to see you train a difficult dog like a Britney Spaniel (because of their wild hereditary instincts) or a lower energy, less enthusiastic or more stubborn dog.
Thank you Love your videos 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 we have a new mini Aussie doodle on our way ordered your book too
Thank you Zak this helped us a lot.
Going to miss Kona!
Can you make a "settle" video, where you show the training process? I think it's an important skill that every dog should know. I would love a dedicated video about it!
Zak can you please do a gear video? I try to take note of the leash sizes you mention in your videos and would love to know more about the brand harness Kona uses or what else you consider good basics to own!
watching zak fanboy over pupbox birthday themed toys is actually so cute
Awwww imma miss Kona
Zak, you made me love dogs, before kona, i didn't like dogs so much that i would've never considered having one... (One of the reason being Fear of dogs😅),
But now I am just in love with dogs, I can't believe it but I am... Thanks Zak, please Continue doing this...
You caught my 12 week old puppy's attention with the squeaker toys! lol
We love dogs
Hey Zak, I have a video request. I know you covered it in your book, but could you make a video on how to choose a breeder? Because the breeder I got my puppy from was super bad one. She fed my pup only half of the appropriate amount written on the package of the dog food. And later I found out health checkup she did before she gave her to me was super easy one that doesn’t really make sense. I wish I had known how to choose a good breeder. I live in Japan and your book is hard to get here, so covering it with a video would help people around the world avoid supporting bad breeder and puppy mills without being conscious. Thank you so much and we love you, Zak.
Good dogs!
Time must move really slow where I'm at, for me it has been 4 months since you got Kona, not 3 weeks. Guess I'm lucky hahah!
I watch your video for my dog tutorials this so helpful...
I miss Kona to
We’ve been using “settle” with our cats 😂 not sure if it will work haha
Love you Kona miss u
Hey I know you did crate training with Kona and some other projects but I was kinda wondering if instead of potty training with a crate can you do a full video dedicated to all the things a person needs to do with a dog (I have a Shi Tzu) while crate training
Good am on my way to become a k9 dog trainer in the future
Aww I’m going to really miss Kona 😔
Really glad I have a nice adult dog now. Don’t know if I have the energy for a puppy anymore.
I got your ad for the bark box watching this video
noooo were gonna miss you kona 😭🥺❤️
no
no
why kona
love you kona
So cute
🥰 AWW 🥰
Can we see a video of Inertia’s most advanced tricks, like the ones she was doing in Alaska?
Immer top 👍 lieben grüsse von Zürich 😘😊
So I am watching your videos before I get a dog, I am getting a dog to go live outside with. Not in town and plenty of area to run around with (grass, woods ect) you teach by using there meal, do you only feed them 2x a day? And if so what times. How often, how much ect please reply to this I am really trying to learn, I am 16 and really don't want to make a dog a "bad dog" when they jump all over and I want one to be smart. Thanks for reading this
Pls do a German shepherd the next series
Done!
@@zakgeorge aww Thank you
@@zakgeorge Thank you for the reply
How will the new family tackle the separation anxiety now that Kona is going to a house with different people and no other dogs?
your next dog project should totally be an older dog learning, instead of more puppies
Yes! This will help if you plan to get a rescue (I am)
Got it! Agreed!
@@zakgeorge great! I’m excited to see what’s next 😃
@@zakgeorge I would love to see you working with an older dog... I have been looking to adopt a senior doberman from a shelter... I have not had a dog of my own for years, but have enjoyed spending time with and babysitting dogs that belong to family members... I am now at a point in life that I will be able to devote much more time to taking care of my own dog.. my 2 favorite breeds are Dobermans and Bedlington Terriers which were dogs my family had when I was growing up.. I have wondered how difficult it would be two train an older dog. I really enjoy your channel, and have learned a lot.. Thank you so much !
@@internetchocolate6733 it’s a good a idea I got a rescue she’s 1 or 2 years old and she’s the sweetest thing
Hi love your videos. Any more advice on separation anxiety would be much appreciated. We have a 14 week old puppy and she gets very stressed when left alone. We have had a few mini breakthroughs, but she does have quite a few relapses . Food distractions etc don't work. Thanks .
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!
Our pup will only do things (tricks) if she sees or smells a treat, how do I get her to do things when I don’t have treats???
Thank you 😊
@Oksana Gutierrez awww, I hope she gets better soon 😊
@Sofia Lazell same as intertia
If she's really good at it with a treat, you can start to "fade the reward." Very gradually (like over the period of days or weeks), you give treats less and less often for doing the task you ask for. Instead of giving a treat every time, maybe every second time for a while, then just some of the time. Gradually they realize that they have to do the task no matter what, just in case there is a treat, and they never know when one is coming. And they always get praise, even on the times when there isn't a treat! But it takes lots of time, especially with puppies.
@@kaclama THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!!
Hi zak, please do a videos on how to train a aggressive dog bread like Rottweiler,pitbull,indian/pak bully kuttha ???
What is the harness that Kona is wearing?
Blue 9 Balance harness
The dog we are getting in 2 weeks is named Kona
What are you going to do next without kona
😊❤
Hey I love your videos and since me and my sister are getting new puppies they are very helpful, but unfortunately my sisters dog is deaf which makes him very hard to train and your videos seem to not work with him. Any tips?
How did you teach her to relax?
is it hard giving her back..? I couldn't have given her to you for this time... I could for 3 hrs a day maybe..Poor Kona needed to be blow dried Zak! if your wearing a coat. puppy needs to be warm too. x
I have a1 yr old dog he is a gold lab
Hows kona now?
HELP!
I have a 9 week and 5 day old border collie puppy. For the most part he's amazing apart from biting and predominantly me. He listens to my partner and only a little bites others but he severely bits me especially my ankles. I've tried No and Ah as well as a clap and to redirect but it seems like it's a game and he now play grawels and jumps at me....any advice . I know he's very young still but I wanna nip this in the bud :)
what kind of harness do you use? any link please???!!!
I miss Kona already. :,(
I wonder if Inertia will feel abandoned by Kona when she leaves. I think Inertia and Kona should have regular playdates at the very least.
What is the next series
Do you know if using an interactive dog toy that you can put treats in will be good for a dog that will be left home while going to school?
You can use a frozen kong toy (or anything similar) m.ua-cam.com/video/LwZI1isnvPQ/v-deo.html and then there are some remote activated ones that I don't know the name of. The stuffed toy might be a good low tech thing to start/try out
@@m.z.593 yeh I heard about them too I know what you mean I forgot the name too. But thanks for the advice and help it's much appreciated. Does Kong as well reduce most problems in dogs and they behave a bit better?
@@majaambroziak5156 yes I mean it's enrichment and most enrichment will help dogs feel more satisfied which in turn will make them more chill. If you are interested google canine enrichment. You can also watch the video they show how you can additionally use it to get some training in beyond the enrichment part
@@m.z.593 Thank you so much for your help and your reply it's much appreciated from me.
@@majaambroziak5156 happy I could help. If you are interested in dogtraining, especially the scientific bases, I can link you some free ressources
10:28 Zach can you explain your use of negative punishment? By not allowing kona to obtain her reward and actually physically restraining her to get to her reward would you not consider this negative punishment? How could you as a self proclaimed purely positive trainer ever use punishment? Shouldn’t be ashamed of yourself?!
I’m gonna miss her...
Can I get this puppbox or barkbox delivery in India also? please reply...
whatever zack is saying to Kona even Inertia is doing it
Hey, i wanted to know if its okay for me to leave my dog alone outside in a conceiled area he cant escape from at night when we sleep, as well as during the first few hours of the day when I have school?
Why at night when you sleep?
I would suggest not to. Weather is a problem: wind, rain, snow, etc. It can also be very cold or very hot outside which can cause health problems like heatstroke. Dogs are also pretty smart, so you do need to make sure that it really _is_ a secure area.
