    Your brave that’s for sure.
I never wanna go near old machines or old camper vans. They usually had 40 “electricians” there before you “fixing” the hell outta it the last couple decades. Usually a total mess of wires, bypassed fuses and dirt.

Well, I would say you made considerable progress. Starting with no knowledge to learning the trouble code is great.

I dont know what I'm doing, I really shouldn't be here. That's exactly when you know you should be there haha. Awesome.

Here in the uk plant engineers make hell of a lot more than regular car mechanics you also get provided with your own van, tools, but you work on your own most days and really need to know your stuff.

don't underestimate your abilities. when it comes to electrical there is very little differences between any passanger vehicles and a heavy duty construction equipment like that. can networks, powers grounds, pull up circuits, pull down circuits, ground side switched circuits, power ground switch circuits. it's just getting access to service data with wiring diagram and theory of operation.

It's an awful thing when you don't have wiring diagrams & service data, im from the middle east and we get golf spec cars (different from euro and us spec ones) . The wiring and general systems are different from the US and European version of those cars, so we don't have any service providers for wiring diagrams or service data. 😕

A learning curve-ball. Just like a vehicle, with codes, wires, sensors and modules... Access to info is key.

Is a mechanic for tractors making more money than a regular mechanic ?

Yeah! $125 per hour, $450 minimum ( or I’m not leaving my yard), $2.50 per mile round trip, over 25 miles. And you are getting murdered with amount of work.
But there’s whole lt different tools expenses, and whole lot harder work
