Alaska is in dire need of mechanics. The 302 union would likely take you. They say there hasnt been this much work since the pipeline first went up. Its among the highest paying states for trademen. Not uncommon for journeymen mechanics to make around 20 grand a month during the summer.
fun fact.. the centre of the fuel filter and oil filter is where the liquid is drawn from the feed the engine, the outer of the filter ring has multiple holes where the liquid should be fed into first not the centre hole as the outer holes will lead the fuel through the filtering material so it's clean. So Basically it's advised to not fill the fuel filter from the tank feed into the centre hole because if there is any rust, diesel sludge or dirt in the tank then now you have just filled that into the side of the filter that should of already been filtered through the filter material which it hasn't and is the main reason for injectors getting clogged or going bad.
Hey bud. Leave those red plugs in until you prime the filter. The plug insures the fuel you use as a prime is filtered. Not trying to be critical. Nice video
I have this argument daily. The morons I work with will take a fuel filter off a machine and dump the fuel out into the new filter. I can't make this up. They will pull all the air filters out of a machine and blow all the dust down the intake with a blow gun.
You just put unfiltered fuel into your primary filter, with these size machines the basic hand primer is all thats required to bleed the whole circuit.
So does that high pressure fuel filter get used in idle as well as operating it? I would’ve guessed that you had to run the machine to get the high pressure filter working but I am going to suspect that it the fuel filtration works in stages at all times
Hi, I'm looking at 2018 used PC200-8 Komatsu excavator in China with 2900 for $26,000.00. It is a 20Tonne unit. Is that a good price? Is the machine possiblly fake? I need you advise. Thanks
I want to become a heavy duty mechanic. But I’m wondering if I need my own work truck and my own tools. I also don’t know how to get started, I barely have any experience around big vehicles. I have only worked a little bit on small cars
Try working for an equipment rental company. You'll get experience, plus some factory training /certifications. Later on you can then branch out on your own with heavy equipment experience under your belt.
@@Terry_Baker I can’t right now. I am still in high school senior year, that’s why I need to know if i will need my own truck and tools when i actually get an apprenticeship and then a job
Depending on your location, there are many college courses that a person could participate in. Its a different route then the traditional apprenticeship, and can be a good avenue if you don't have a way in, or know how to get started. Its what I did, anyways, when I was in your boat. As for needing your own truck and tools, well yes, you'll need your own tools(in most cases), but you will only need a truck if you go into field service. You'll most likely start out in a shop, though, as an apprentice.

Good glimpse into periodic maintenance.
Even such a crappy machine runs with a good servicetechnician like this guy, which is also a great video presenter.

Really interesting. Thank you

Sir, what type of oil are you using in damper case?
And in swing machinery?

The spray tin. Is it a degreasing solvents ?
that pink cap is for when u pre fill it, you keep it on to make sure the fuel gets filtered before it gets used. fill the filter THEN remove the cap
