Me and this guy were together for 13 years since we were teenagers. We both just turned 30 this year. He ended things with me and when I asked him why he gives me a range of answers on why he did what he did, but never told me to my face, it has been almost 2 months since I spoke to him, but it’s been about three months since the break up. I really love your advice Coach Craig, but I really don’t know if he’ll talk to me again if I’m being honest, I don’t treat someone like this. I’m not saying I’m perfect at the 13 years. Of course everyone had their issues but I never verbally abuse this man physically abuse, this man or anything I treat him like royalty and gold and when he decided to end things, it came as a complete surprise to me

Looks like FOMO. Unfortunately, social media/friends/family can be a huge influence on these kind of situations, specially if there were issues in the relationship that was sharing/venting to them and they just simply influenced him enough to break up things and see what's out there. Stay in NC and work on yourself. I just got dumped by my ex-gf more than 3 months ago after 10 years of relationship, she was ill influenced by her mother to break things up.

There are many relationships that end and people get back together but there are others that don’t ever work that way. We need to understand that sometimes, it’s better to accept the reality of what’s happening now. We need to learn to cut our losses and move on. Attachments are very dangerous. I’ll see this. My ex and I don’t have any contact with each other. I initiated the break up. I blocked him. The relationship was toxic so I thought that it was best to just cut links for both our sakes. Lastly, I can safely say that we are done for good because he is of the opinion that exes shouldn’t ever have anything to do with each other. I’m good with that.
My Ex contacted me at 9th month. I never thought he would contact me back. During the first few months I was so suffered. But believe me you will be fine and your ex will contact you if you disappear from him just as Craig said . God bless you

Ironically, we do go out for lunch from time to time. She's gained weight. I'm still in shape. I have more $$$ in my bank account and she's going broke. I do NOT lend her money or do favors for her. She is NOW feeling the wrath of not having me around. Not my problem. I landed a better job. Jump started my band again. I'm good now. Would I take her back? Dont know. But if I did, its on MY TERMS.

Can you do a video on short term relationships ?? I can't find any (only situationship) we were official for 4 months and i really believe she loved but she is a fearful avoidant and self sabotaged a good thing. The relationship was very good so i was shocked and broken. Its been 1.5 months since the break up i only broke no contact once last week to ask her on a date but she was very cold and said "no reason for that anymore". She left one month after my mother's death and she doesn't show any remorse for that. Can't take any more pain the relationship was very good but her trauma ruined everything. PLEASE make one on short relationships i feel utterly hopeless when i hear all those success stories that are from long term relationships and it discourages me

He claimed that I was the only one he was seeing, but he wouldn't commit, told me that he couldn't be in a relationship, and he wouldn't delete the dating apps. I REALLY liked him, but his words and actions were telling me two different stories. Unfortunately, my past has taught me that actions speak louder than words. I took it to mean that he was "dumping me," so I walked away and told him to message me if he changed his mind (I wasn't going to settle for a friendship/situationship). No contact has been rough, and I'm constantly second-guessing who the dumper and dumpee are in this situation. If it's any reassurance, my story's timeline is pretty similar, and I still sometimes wish that he would reach out.

3 years since my wife of 10 years walked away and ghosted me, it was also a text breakup, very cruel. I haven’t heard from them and they haven’t reached out..
My roommate/best friend passed away yesterday. And my ex still isn't back. But brightside. It's giving me space to make decisions that's best for me. But it still hurts....

Nah. You shouldn't have fo change who you are in big ways to attract someone back into your life. And if they leave again? Are you going to "level up" again? Are you constantly levelling up now so that other people like you and want to be with you?
Then that's not you they want to be with. They want to be with some other version of you. If someone loses attraction to you and you've just shown empathy and love and compassion, that says a lot about their character, not yours.
I did think about leaving my ex,but she didnt work i was tied to her for 23 years supporting her,till she started working finally but had a relationship with someone who owned their own business,i believe she left me because he makes more,but now im out a lot of money,living in a van,feeling like a failure,she married the man.I know

Hey coach, is there a higher chance if you two are in super good terms and are still attracted to each other? She’s still attracted to me and I’m still attracted to her but we are in no contact because of the past hurts that took place in our relationship. We both see each other at school and often times stare/look at each other and smile, but I’m super confused because she seems like she doesn’t miss me but it’s probably just me overthinking it. But we are in our healing phase because of the past. We were on and off a lot but the past caught up to her and she basically said that she doesn’t think we can ever work out anymore so I’m just trying to get answers

Haven’t heard from my x in over a month . I feel okay but starting to lose hope . I just don’t understand how you have a 5 year relationship that ends on good terms . No cheating, no fighting, nothing serious and you don’t even reach out to say hey how are things going. She reached out a month ago to say she missed me and thinks about me every day and maybe we can meet up when we’re fully healed but now I think she got over that hump of missing me
I know you've covered subjects on bipolar, narcissism, borderline etc before. But since Margaret's been gone it's more about getting your ex back, doing the workbooks etc, without mentioning any of those important factors, many of which contribute to relationship breakups.
That is maybe only true for personality disorders. But We cover more variety of topics than anyone else in breakups… and it’s not even close. And we would do it more if those videos got watched more often. I could do a subscription service and offer more niche subjects 🤷🏻♂️

Hello Dr Kenneth. What do you make of this? We broke up in July. She has me blocked on her phone & social media. She has her devices unsynced, so my messages will go from not saying anything such as read or delivered, to delivered hours or days later. I’ll occasionally be able to see a Snapchat on her story
I know my ex will coming back so before she approach me again I did something terrible to my ex.
My wife and I have been married for 6 years, together 9 total. We’ve been seperated for about 5 months now. She said she will never be with me again and to keep everything about the kids and to get that in my head. Right after that, she comes over to get our kids and asks me to change her oil and check her tires lol. To me that’s husband duties. But hey, I’m all about safety so I oblige. Fast forward to this morning, she’s texting me something about someone she saw who has the same exact name as her and then she tells me she has a new job. Really trying to be friendly basically. I told her congratulations and no disrespect but to keep it about the kids. Was I wrong? And what’s her move? I feel like she does this when she feels me slipping away

My ex reached out a few days ago stating she wants to see me and if I would like to get lunch. I agreed and it’s this Saturday. After 6 months of NC I’m truly puzzled why she wants to meet up. We did text a little but I am trying not to text or say anything to her till I see her. I’m afraid she just wants to give me some clothing I left and I’m trying to come to terms she may just wants to do something small. I’m looking at it as a finally time yo see her I guess. Either way I’m freaking out. After all my work I feel like I was dumped yesterday!

Its been nearly 3 years for me. In the line of work I do his name came across my desk, which I took as a sign to see how he was and reach out, he saw my message but never responded. I tried again a week later, still nothing but he hasn't blocked me like he did at the beginning of the break up. Going back to no contact, but I doubt he'll ever talk to me again.

@@usersss100 I've been looking I've been in two short-term relationships in that time, gone through several therapists, done acupuncture, you name it I've tried it. Moving on is not a choice that I need to just go and do. It's not that moving on is hard and I'm just not up for the task, I have tried... Nobody feels like this by choice

@@CoachCraigKenneth Coach, as much as I want to reach out I don’t. Our relationship was too toxic and there was as a lot of hurt there. I broke up with her because I needed space and time to get back on track because I got complacent while I was with her. She ended up getting into a rebound relationship and it hurts but I want her to be happy more than I want to be with her. Since I broke up with her I have lost over thirty pounds, got a promotion, and focusing on me. I can either attract someone better or reattract her, but I’m making sure no matter the outcome I am prepared and it starts by getting my body and mind right! Thanks for these videos! 3 and a half years since breakup. Not a single word from her in all this time (and i kept a perfect NC meanwhile too). I don't know if i've moved on or I'm simply and finally comfy with the siruation, because i still have this "curiosity" from time to time about her and i suspect that if i stumble to her unexpectedly it would be a bit nervewrecking.
