Ι really love my manta ray turtle. I own several seikos, vintage, prospex, presage, 5s etc... This is my all time favorite. My grail watch is a Grand Seiko of course
I have the one that has the larger magnifying glass, a very beautiful watch, which you can wear on most occasions! Fits nicely on my wrist, a nice upgrade. Thank you for showing both of them.
Hi Joshua, nice to see a video from you! I hope you will do more in the future as well. This was really nicely put together. I remember you telling me these dials we're incredible; and as much as I believed you, I have been holding back until I get my watch (which is in the mail I noticed!!). I'm just too impatient I guess.. hehe.. Your shots really bring out the detail in that dial to a pretty incredible level. It is absolutely amazing how the light catches the waves and gives the really distinct impression of being on the water. I can't wait to get this in hand and be completely mesmerized. As much as I already love the SRPD21 I also got from you not that long ago, this is just on another level altogether, exactly like you said (although, I do prefer the way they did the bezel on the SRPD21 with the micro grooves). When I decided to get the Samurai, it was a really hard choice.. but I also figured that if I got another turtle case, then it would compete directly with the Great White. I have to admit, with this Save the Ocean lineup, Seiko has me by the 'balls'. And I'm pleased with that :D ...and to anyone looking for an incredible shop to buy your watches from, I have a few purchases from Halifax Watch Co, and I have to say, the level of service and friendliness is incredible, and the way they package your watch, makes you feel like a king! Thank you Joshua.
Thanks for the input, I tried a video last week and it did not go so well (that’s why it has been erased from existence) but these dials were just to nice not to. You will be blown away once you see it in person, and once you see it in the sunshine there is no competition with any other turtle. These finish the race like an Olympic runner against me in a race.
I bought the save the ocean king turtle right before this came out. I mean as soon as i got it there were already leaked photos of the manta ray. After thinking it through, im selling it to get this one. This is just on another level of beauty, not only from other Seikos but from the entire dive watch game.
I guess I am not the only one. I grabbed the King Turtle Save the Ocean but I should of waited on the Manta Ray. I will see what they come out with next year before I get another. I need to pace myself haha
i have purchased 2 watches from HWC. great service/prices. i see the bezel on the turtle is misaligned vs samurai. when you sell these do you guarantee alignment before shipping. cheers
The non K1 differs in it will say Made in Japan on the Dial, costs a little more usually but has the same build quality as the K. I’ve handled both K and J styles (not this series) and there’s no difference for the added price that I have ever noticed. People will say the Non K model is made better, but it is the same in the end i find.
Honestly, for me, it's a no-brainer; Save the Ocean series is very unique. Don't get me wrong, when I noticed the white dial version, it did give me a reason to pause and look... but while a waffle pattern is nice, there is nothing else like THIS dial. Either choice is good though, same watch.
GODSPEED|seven thanks for the thoughts, I have the white dial samurai but it has crown issues so will go back and this is why I asked as I’m thinking if I should go for the save the ocean. The samurai is very nice but it lacks something for me. I think maybe because I already own a white waffle dial watch with the Lorier falcon series II.
@@wristwatchtalk Ah yeah, that sucks about that issue. Never fun to spend this amount and get something that shouldn't have made it through QC. I've seen another video recently about the white dial king samurai, and honestly, I think they should have put it on the same bracelet they provide the other samurais. Not only that, but I find when you have many watches with either the same dial color, design or same case... there is usually one that will simply be the go-to choice and the others will be left out more.
@@GODSPEEDseven yes I agree about the bracelet, I planned on swapping the rubber out for a third party one but the oem one would have been nicer. And yes that's a good point, I think that's the issue I have. The white waffle dial i have is probably one of my favourites and so its hard for another white dial to beat that. I also don't own any blue dialled watches. Plus the white dial makes the samurai look bigger i find, that black on the dial of the sto helps to give the illusion of a smaller dial. I really have to try see one in person. 😁
Personal preference, They both have the same specs and quality finish. So it comes down to taste, and I think my personal taste leans more towards the Samurai versions.
Are these watches ok? I mean is everything properly misaligned? Rumours say that there are a few hundred SEIKO fakes around the world which are easily identified because not being properly misaligned.
Sadly these are all perfectly lined up, if you want a misaligned one I am sure I can special order it in for you though, we are pretty particular but we try and get you want you want :)

I own the SRPE39J1 Manta Ray King Turtle 🐢 and it’s one of the most beautiful 🤩 watches I’ve ever seen

Just realized you have a channel! Thanks for showing these off. 👍
Thanks, still getting the hang of it. Going to try and do a video every Saturday i think.
@@halifaxwatchcompany7728 It's a lot of work but a lot of fun too. Happy to colab any time. 👍

Great video, thanks!
I love the turtle
great video, great watch, great video quality
Just got the King Samurai. There are flaws but I don't care. B e a u t i f u l. Price worth.

Everything falls within Seiko Spec or it gets sent back before it’s sold. First video so a few errors, some obvious some that only I see.
I got lucky my king turtle align
