Hi, fam! We're thinking of doing more "vegan deluxe" videos where I try to upgrade a standard recipe. Would you like to see more? Any recipe ideas? Drop your thoughts below!
Chickpea "tuna" could use a tune-up....I'm thinking curried with slivered almonds and grapes or some other sweet and savory combo? The standard Tofu Scramble could use some help, too...you are just the chef to do it!
OMG, Netflix should start negotiating a deal with you immediately. You've gone from creating videos (really, really good ones) to producing a full-on cooking show. I love your recipes and your warm humor.
Hi there, I would recommend to opt out of consuming caffeine, an addictive and diuretic drug, as it flushes out calcium, thus leading to weak bones; raises cholesterol; irritates and stimulates the brain, heart and nerves; and taxes adrenal glands. If you are one that prefers to have a morning hot drink e.g coffee, green or black tea, i would recommend to make an alternative change to organic non-caffeinated herbal teas e.g peppermint tea that may awake one, smells good and has beneficial properties, i believe. Best wishes 💙💙💙
We made these this weekend. They were EASILY the BEST brownies I've ever had in my life. And I should know. I'm a chocoloholic. To say that I LOVE them would be an understatement. My wife thought they were amazing too. She kept saying, "These are VEGAN?!?!?!?" This brownie recipe will now be a weekly staple in our household. Thank you, Nisha!
Made these last night for my non-vegan family. They were absolutely delicious! Look exactly like “regular” brownies with the glazed crackly top. Even without espresso powder they were decadent! I would hands down agree.. THE BEST vegan brownies!!

@@doracotterell2863 Hi there, If you were a Christian, you would not live only once, but for all eternity in the life to come. @@Look.Upward : Honey, you are a serious type which I applaud 👏 however it’s misapplied when we are discussing simple brownies. Kinda reminds me of when Mary was caring for Jesus by massaging our Lord’s feet with fine ointment to ease Jesus’s hardships, when one of the disciples (Simon?) criticized Mary Magdalene for the ‘costly oils’ … Jesus then rebuked him for his myopic point of view and attitude. So DO look upwards, always, yet be grateful for the wonder of a small earthly gift of beautiful brownies offered to us all by this lovely gracious lady on her UA-cam channel. 💕
As someone who's severely allergic to eggs and dairy, the results of this recipe was stunning. I haven't had a brownie so close to the 'normal' version since I was a kid over 20 years ago. Thank you so much. I'll be making these more often!
for the "can i use this instead of this" kind of people, i've tried this recipe following the exact same ingredients and i've tried it switching the AP flour for oat flour (i can't have gluten anymore) and although it's still tasted delicious and it was fudgy and moist, the shiny crust on top wasn't there anymore which is something that makes this brownies so unique. So if u can't have gluten i highly suggest u try this recipe, but don't expect it to look exactly like the one with AP flour.
Oat flour is probably too granular, maybe something like a mix of rice and corn flour would work, and maybe mix in just a little bit of pea protein to simulate the gluten in wheat flour without actually having gluten.
Nisha you have single handedly changed my cooking and baking ! I went from meh cooking and no baking to crowd pleasing baked goods and fun meals. And my skills are all the same ! It is your fantastic recipes ! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Hi Nisha, as I sit here eating the most incredible brownie of my life, vegan and non-vegan, I reflect on how far you’ve come since your videos in New York and how you’ve truly found your niche in the vegan cooking world. Your remarkable intelligence is shining through in the diligence and quality of your recipes. You are bringing us into a new world where people choose to cook and bake more vegan recipes not out of guilt and obligation, but of true joy. Thank you for paving this path and bringing us with you ❤
Omg the day has finally come where there’s a vegan brownie recipe worth making! I trust your judgement so I’m about to whip this up! Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you so much for your recipes. I recently found out I'm so sensitive, pretty much every common ingredient in every thing we use, eat and drink is what made me sick and in pain pretty much since I was born. And why I have so many adverse reactions to so many medications. Being a vegetarian for over 30 years, it was easy going vegan after finding out I'm allergic to the proteins and the sugars in milk, so no more dairy. Gluten was difficult to give up, but I did it. A few months ago I learned I have to get away from processed foods, even the ones deemed vegan-glutenfree-organic. Most products are made in the same facility as these ingredients, so even the tiny amounts are harming me. The doctor was right. It's been about 2 months now of me cooking everything from scratch, from pure ingredients that meet my ridiculously long safety list. Creators like you have helped me so much. Saved me really. My food allergies are coconut, oats, almonds, dairy, eggs, asparagus, meats, cabbage, wheat, gluten, peanuts. Finding gluten-free vegan recipes without coconut, almonds or oats was a struggle. Thank you and all the other amazing creators on here for all of your time and effort to share these delicious recipes. I'm sorry if it's difficult to read. STBI survivor. 💞
I decide to go vegan a couple of days ago, I started yesterday and now I’m on day two. Even tho I’ve only been vegan for two days, I absolutely love it. I’m definitely going to be making, some of your recipes, including this brownie!
Y’all... if you’re looking for a brownie recipe to beat them ALL!!?? Pick this oneeeee I BEG OF YOU. THESE TURNED OUT ABSOLUTELY PERFECT like mind blowingly perfect !!!!!!
Ok so I made these 2 days ago as we had office browny baking competition. As I am a black sheep vegan in office was not sure if to do it. But baked them and served with option of warm strawberry chia jam or cold vegan whipped cream…pastry chefs from our company hotels were judges, and….they liked it , I won at my own shock….but that doesn’t matter, whoever tried them said they were yummy
Hi, I just tried this recipe. Well, they turned out to be not only the best vegan brownies, but the best brownies I have ever made. Thank you so much for it. But it should come with a warning saying: Don't start otherwise it's extremely hard to stop eating it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

I agree. I hate when people ask "can I change this" or "can I leave out that" or whatever. Drives me mad, either make the flaming recipe or go do your own thing, but don't complain when it doesn't work out when you've not followed her advice.
"Instead of chocolate can I use apples? Can I make this gluten free? I don't have an oven can I do this on the stove? Instead of brownies can I make this a pie? STAAAHP!
People ask for substitutions for different reasons. I don't really have access to many ingredients, especially vegan, so I need to know if I can use something else. I bet it's the same for many people - and that's not including people who have dietary restrictions or autoimmune diseases like celiac. Just be more understanding.
I’m gonna go make these now. I religiously watch all your videos almost as soon as they come out. Thanks for all your content. I really like your meal prep videos but this one was great too
You really gotta leave time to have these brownies set. I let them cool for about 1 hour after baking and I thought they were decent. But I left the rest to sit overnight for 12 hours and WOW. They were absolutely perfect.
I am new to the vegan community and you were The first chef that I watched. I am waiting for your cookbook to arrive and I am super excited. I think I watched your whole playlist, you make the videos interesting and the food looks amazing. I’m also a dialysis patient so my diet is a little bit more strict But I feel very positive. Hi there! I am so flattered to hear that my videos are making you feel positive and excited about your new vegan diet! I can’t wait for you to explore my cookbook. I don’t know your exact dietary limitations but there’s lots of wholesome yet flavor-packed stuff in there that i think you’ll enjoy :)
I love your panel of taste testers! They seem honest and they must appreciate good food. I'm going to make these brownies. Thank you for all of your efforts.
Oh my god! You're so sweet!! ARGH! I've been going through vegan recipe videos all night, and honestly left some videos cause I just struggled to watch the person explaining it. This was so refreshing! Everything was so balanced and homely, yet professional, sweet and calm, yet engaging. It's also so lovely to see people share and connect with their family. Also cannot WAIT to try these they look incredible.
Made this yesterday and I'm blown away abut how good this taste. I'm vegan almost 1 year now and I'm pretty good with cooking but this is the most delicoius brownie ever. Thank you so much! So glad I found you. I also made the hummus recipe on your channel and next one is the red lentil curry I think. I love lentils so pretty sure this is also going to be exceptional. Thanks once again.
I just made these today (along with your 'meal prep' recipes) and whoa! The recipe is on point! These are the best brownies I've made from scratch. I'm not even vegan but found your channel because hubby and I are trying to eat better. Thank you and excellent job!
I love this about vegan chefs. So much more to explore. So much things you can be the first to create. And the future is vegan. The future is not consuming breast milk of other species, put into food. She's a pioneer chef.
Okay, I’m mad at UA-cam for never suggesting your channel before! I love your personality, the video style, and the brownies look insane I can’t wait to make them. Thank you for creating wonderful content. 💕
You absolutely crack me up! I love your personality. When you said the brownies smelled really good and needed to be eaten by you, I laughed out loud. I definitely need to try this recipe! Thank you!
I missed mom in this video … she has so much personality and would have given it rave reviews!!😮 I will try it Nisha, your recipes are off the chart delicious
OMG these are the best brownies I have ever made, non-vegan brownies from the past included. You cannot tell these are vegan AT ALL. They are so rich and dense and delicious + easy to make. This will be my new go to brownie recipe! And as a student without a mixer, whipping the aquafaba was a good workout haha. Thanks so much
I was looking for vegan recipes and fell onto your page. Definitely appreciated the simple ingredients and the reasons behind using them. This helps me make better decisions as I stock my pantry. Thank you!
Your dad is definitely the break-out star of this video, but the brownies - wow!. I made them this weekend, and they are EXCELLENT. After these, and the pumpkin cake last fall, I can't wait to see what you bake up next.
THE BEST BROWNIES i've ever tasted! Great recipe and thank you so much! Also I swapper the vegan butter with 1/4 cup refined coconut oil (no coconut smell) + 1/4 cup regular vegetable oil. It turned out the same way with a flaky crust, so if someone is out of vegan butter, like me, you can try this too!
If you reduce the sugar and use the wrong flour you get example one texture wise. I will definitely do it again, but then right. I love the simplicity about this recipe 💖
I’ve been looking for a vegan brownie without coconut oil that uses aquafaba. Thank you! Thank you very much for this one. Definitely going to make this sometime this week.
Thank YOUUU for a recipe that doesn't have riddiculously-difficult-to-find-ingredients like flour from the petals of a black tulip from Nepal or something! Regular ingredients and simplicity, yass 🙌❤
I've made these brownies and cannot believe how good they are. I've been searching and trying recipes for vegan brownies and this is literally the best, search is over I will never try another brownie recipe ever again. . Fantastic 😊
Hi there, just tried your recipe today and they are amazing. In fact, I would say they are the best brownies vegan or not that I have ever had. thank you so much for sharing this.
protip: if you follow Nisha's recipe for making hummus (which I did this week and it was easily the best hummus I've ever had in my life), you can make your own aquafaba by reserving the chickpea water and cooking it down a bit until it's thicker. Since you add baking soda to that water when cooking, do you think it'd make the brownies fluff up even more? Really looking forward to trying this recipe. Thanks so much for making all of these!
These are fantastic! Can I say that they are not just the best vegan brownies but perhaps the best homemade brownies? We are not vegan, but we are GF - I made these with Bob's Red Mill GF brownies and they were excellent! The aquafaba does something magical to the texture. We all fell in love with them! Note that if you put them in the fridge they do get kind of hard and way too fudgey (rather than chewy), probably because of all the melted chocolate. So just FYI. SO GOOD. I have a friend with an egg allergy and we have the hardest time finding good egg-free desserts. Thanks Visha!
As someone else said below - I did have to bake these way way longer than the recipe stated. I assume this is because I changed out the flour. So if you do make these GF just be use all your senses and your toothpick to check for doneness.
Glad u (Rainbow) stuck to your recipe convictions instead of being pushed off the counter by people wanting substitutions - these look like amazing VEGAN brownies! For the detractors, there are plenty of online recipes substitution sites, heck just ask your search engine & the go experiment on your own time to suit your own taste - this girl (Rainbow) has done that already!!
I did them last night and this recipe is the most amazing one I tried so far. I used one espresso instead of espresso powder and it worked well. 176 degrees Celsius are untypical for a German oven so I used 170 degrees. Delicious 🤤
I made this recipe and came out sooooo freakin deliciousssssssssssss. I reduced the amount of sugar to 250 grams and it was perfect. Thank you so so so so so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just made these. They are off the charts delicious. I've been vegan for 8 years....and I haven't had good brownie in 8 years. My non vegan husband approves. He said it's the best brownie he's ever had.Thank you so much. This is a god send.
If watching your videos all the way through once, and then coming back to watch your dad's (and mom's) reaction sections over and over again is wrong, I don't want to be right. Thank you for sharing them with us. They are true treasures.
Well, ive gotta say 7:36 is one of the most IMPORTANT steps 😂😂😂🤭🤭 ive tried soo many brownie recipes only to fail at getting the wrinkly top , so Im ecstatic to try this out .
I'm into real easy recipes with just a few ingredients. For chocolat/brownies. I take 1 cup of walnuts or hazelnuts, 1 cup of dates and 1/4 cup of cacao powder. Mix it, add a few drops of water so it sticks together nicely and make 1 inch balls. The whole family loves them.
Made these for a picnic and they were demolished by non-vegan friends! Its so good to know I don't have to sacrifice any taste going vegan :) Just a note, I think I overcooked them the tiniest bit as I used a fan oven (they were done in 25min) so may be worth noting this in the written recipe!
These brownies truly are THE BEST. I’ve been vegan for 16 years, tried so many different recipes. And let me tell y’all, I will never make another brownie recipe. This is THE ONE.
Hey Nisha! At 3:43 you mentioned how doing that step helped get that crinkly top. There's a channel on youtube called Adam Ragusea where he actually works with a food scientist to get to the bottom of why and how to get a crinkly top like that. He has a two part series and the part where he explains how to get it (including his MANY test bakes to get it right) and you can look up his video called "How to give brownies a smooth, glossy top" where he explains that it's the dissolving of sugars that causes that to happen. Maybe next time you experiment you could try using powdered sugar or grinding up some sugar in a spice grinder to see if that affects it at all. Either way, this is a great recipe, keep up the awesome work!
This video is very important. I’m 7 years vegan and have NEVER made a good batch of vegan brownies. I’ve had maybe 1 good vegan brownie in my life? Super impressed with your discovery of the whipped aquafaba with sugar! I think this may have been the magic component that was missing in my past brownie fails. Excited to try, looks amazing!
I got a food scale and measured my ingredients by the gram, as you do. Then I put together these brownies. Oh my effing god! I have made many many brownies in my life and these are by far the best. You are a wizard. Thank you!
Nothing like the approval from dad! I felt like I won the lotto when I made a vegan banana nut bread for my dad that he looooves. I'm totes gonna try this recipe. 😋 Thanks for doing the hard work to develop it!
I tried the recipe today and the brownies turned out so delicious! Thanks for the great recipe. Btw I made them with the liquid of white beans instead of aquafaba, because I’m not a big fan of chickpeas and it worked really great... 😊
Aah you are so cute when sampling the batter and end result and your dad is hilarious! A true connoisseur of the quality brownie. Saving the video for a rainy day!
Yes... yes... drop what your doing and make these today! Saw the notification from UA-cam this morning and did a side eye. Some how midday I decided why not! And boy does Dad know brownies. These are hands down better than any of those others and I’ve been baking vegan for 6 years. The truth is in the batter, follow the recipe. Thanks Nisha, you did all the things with this recipe. Thanks for testing 6 times ++ and for them not being overly sweet that I need to visit the dentist. 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Hi there,
I would recommend to opt out of consuming caffeine, an addictive and diuretic drug, as it flushes out calcium, thus leading to weak bones; raises cholesterol; irritates and stimulates the brain, heart and nerves; and taxes adrenal glands. If you are one that prefers to have a morning hot drink e.g coffee, green or black tea, i would recommend to make an alternative change to organic non-caffeinated herbal teas e.g peppermint tea that may awake one, smells good and has beneficial properties, i believe.
Best wishes

So glad I found you. I also made the hummus recipe on your channel and next one is the red lentil curry I think. I love lentils so pretty sure this is also going to be exceptional. Thanks once again.
Hi Alexandra, I'm so thrilled you loved these brownies! Thank you for sharing and hope you'll love the lentil curry!
I loved this video and not only found the baker to be entertaining and informative but I loved her family! Thank you. 🙏
Thank you!
Your dad is AWESOME 🤣🤣🤣 knows a good brownie when he eats it!
He really does know a good brownie 😂
I missed mom in this video … she has so much personality and would have given it rave reviews!!😮 I will try it Nisha, your recipes are off the chart delicious
OMG these are the best brownies I have ever made, non-vegan brownies from the past included. You cannot tell these are vegan AT ALL. They are so rich and dense and delicious + easy to make. This will be my new go to brownie recipe! And as a student without a mixer, whipping the aquafaba was a good workout haha. Thanks so much
I made this for my colleagues and none of them believed they were vegan. Easily THE best brownies I ever had in my life. Thank you for this
❤
The dad has a Phd in brownies. And the hot tub scene, totally gangster!
haha he knows a good brownie (and loves a good hot tub sesh)!
Thanks for sharing Rachel! He really is lol. I'm so happy you loved the brownies!
Everything you make is so good. I've tried a lot of your recipes, and they all come out amazing! You're truly a genius!!!
I’m so thrilled to hear you loved these brownies so much! And so great to know that the oil worked out well too. Thanks for sharing!
If you reduce the sugar and use the wrong flour you get example one texture wise.
I will definitely do it again, but then right. I love the simplicity about this recipe 💖
I literally made brownies two days ago and told everyone; yeah, I'm still looking for the perfect recipe. And now I've got it. I LOVE THIS.
Your dad is something else. When he doesn't like something, you know it very quickly! Good for you he loved your brownies! :)
And now I want brownies for breakfast hehehe
Haha i don’t blame you. I’ve definitely done that several times the last month while testing these brownies!
I say "Go For It." It's basically the same as a doughnut, that's what I'm telling myself :-)
Awesome! I am thrilled you thought these were the best brownies! Thanks for sharing your feedback, Karl!
protip: if you follow Nisha's recipe for making hummus (which I did this week and it was easily the best hummus I've ever had in my life), you can make your own aquafaba by reserving the chickpea water and cooking it down a bit until it's thicker. Since you add baking soda to that water when cooking, do you think it'd make the brownies fluff up even more?
Really looking forward to trying this recipe. Thanks so much for making all of these!
Your Dad is ADORABLE! Can’t wait to try the recipe:)
Hehe thanks Jamie! Happy baking!
Thank you so so so so so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing, Marisol! So happy you loved the brownies so much and thanks for letting me know how you modified them!
Just made these. They are off the charts delicious. I've been vegan for 8 years....and I haven't had good brownie in 8 years. My non vegan husband approves. He said it's the best brownie he's ever had.Thank you so much. This is a god send.
Omg best brownies ever..it’s better than regular brownies..and my kids looooooved it❤️Thank you 🌸
If watching your videos all the way through once, and then coming back to watch your dad's (and mom's) reaction sections over and over again is wrong, I don't want to be right. Thank you for sharing them with us. They are true treasures.
Your family is WONDERFUL!!
I think so too!
I have made these brownies twice now, and I am obsessed with the flavor and how fudge they came out to be. Thank you !!! 👌🏽🙏🏽
Your dad is a gem 🤣❤ Also I cannot wait to make these!
I agree lol, he’s a natural on camera!
Oh man these are SO good! Loved the video. You are an awesome personality, and love your dad too!
That noise you make at 8:31 when you try the brownie. 😂 These look incredible!!
Lol it’s that good of a brownie!
Adorable!!!
Haha I love your dad. He's so honesty and endearing ❤ lovely family
Well, ive gotta say 7:36 is one of the most IMPORTANT steps 😂😂😂🤭🤭 ive tried soo many brownie recipes only to fail at getting the wrinkly top , so Im ecstatic to try this out .
Same! This is the first time I’ve cracked the crinkly top for vegan brownies 🥳
Your Dad is so great! He knows his brownies!
Haha he certainly does!
Thank you for showing me how wonderful vegan food can be. Not vegan yet but I am so intrigued by your videos
Thank you!
Haha I am thrilled you loved them and think I'm a wizard!
These are absolutely delicious. Very rich and - my favorite brownie quality.., chewy. The best vegan brownie hands down ❤
Omg your dad is SO funny! 😂🤣 Seriously? In the hot tub? 🤣😆😁🥰 Love it ❣
Lol the hot tub is his fave place! He also very loudly sings Hindi songs in the hot tub.
I and my daughter love your healthy recipes
I bought your cook book and I love it 🥰 and it is amazing 🤩 😊🥳
Aww thank you for your support Pamela! So happy you’re enjoying my cookbook!
This is probably your best video yet! Keep doing what you’re doing...you’re destined for greatness!
Your dad is a LEGEND! Living the dream at the end there... 😍
Hi Lisa, that's awesome to hear! So glad the white bean liquid worked too!
I'm so thrilled you loved these brownies so much, Brittany! Thank you for sharing your feedback! Haha and yes, dad does know his brownies!
Love your Dad's comments. Thanks for the easy-to-follow instructions and the reasons for the ingredients. Going to buy the ingredients today.
I wasn't sure whether I should make Brownies today or not, but this must be a sign
definitely a sign! 🪄
@@RainbowPlantLife They turned out delicious 😋
I LOVE seeing your dads very honest reviews of the foods you make 😂 he is such a hoot!
This video was awesome, that clip of your dad was so great. I think anything you have a lot of practice making would be good.
Glad you’re enjoyed the video! And thanks for the feedback!
I loved this taste test panel! And yes, chocolate chips in a brownie are a MUST!
Im not vegan but I definitely will try this out in the future. Thank you for your hard work so we didnt have to figure it out 💜✨
Love it when your fam does taste tests
