These days I need to keep the kids busy to keep me sane. So I came up with an idea for a contest to see who could figure out how to make Sugar Crystals faster!
@@fhchivvcggg2665 yes. 1 cup water to four sugar, or two water 8 sugar etc. it really depends how big of jar you use. I used jam jars so 1 water 4 sugar works.
Cook it until it boils and turns clear. Then start testing it by dropping a teaspoon full into a glass of COLD water (not ICE water). Pull the dropped mixture from the water and it should be soft, flexible and stringy. You can tell all of the stages of the candy with this method, all the way to the hard crack stage of a candy like lollipops. This is the way I learned to make candy in school, Good luck!
It’s basically a very concentrated simple syrup. You can use it in drinks, tea, between cake layers, etc. Just don’t use too much or water it down because simple syrup is a 1:1 ratio.
To sum up the video: grow crystals faster by changing ratio 1:4 (water to sugar)
That was very helpful 🙂 thank u
Cups of sugar or teaspoon or just spoon because of cups is very much sugar.
So i could just use 1 cup water and 4 cups sugar and it will grow faster?

Sugar is very unstable towards temp. Slowly heat it while having wooden stick in the solution
Crystals very fast
can you use less sugar like 1 cup of sugar and 3 cups of sugar and will it still work
I don’t have the thermometer how am I supposed to do this

What happens if two hours passed and nothing changed?
Wow that was awesome 😊
wha do you do or can you do with the left over syrup in the jars?

This method works great! If it doesn't work, it's user error.
Why do i get the feeling that you’re the video creator 😂🥲
