In fairness, any scrap copper and vinegar can get you the needed Copper(II) Sulfate. Can even add some 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (standard stuff for cuts and scrapes) to speed up the oxidation and dissolving of copper. This makes Copper Acetate, since vinegar is Acetic Acid. Just make sure the copper scraps are solid copper. Plumbing pipe should be fine, but some wires might be copper plated steel, so it wouldn't yield much. US Pennies work, but they have to be older than... 1982 I think. US Nickels (5¢) also, because they're made from "Cupronickel" alloy which is like 65% copper.
Of course, you'd _then_ need to dry (evaporate) the newly made windex-blue colored solution, which could be done by heating it. It'll form lots of micro crystals, which is the Cu(II) Sulfate.
From there, just follow her tutorial on how to make the solution. The Cu Sulfate is just easier to buy, honestly, but I just wanted to prove that at least THAT ONE is actually able to be made with "average home ingredients" 😁 (if you're in the US, finding a couple pennies old enough should still be quite easy heh)

    Nice video, I would add:
    - Instructions on making more of the saturated solution, since it will evaporate with time, making the crystals grow.
    - Note on protecting it the solutions from dust and temperature rise
    - Note on painting some sides of the crystal, waiting for it to dry and then painting the others, to avoid finger smudges/marks.
    - Note on how to deal with the waste? Potassium Alum is rather nontoxic, Copper (II) sulphate is not that hazardous, but Potassium ferricyanide is quite pollutant.
