He fed frontline workers for free, he fed kids 12 and under for free, he helped support donation drives, he used his birthday to encourage everyone to donate to his cause of helping out-of-work farmers and workers further up north in wine country, and 9 months later he's still going strong. *The people and city of SF owe people like Miguel a lot!!* 🙏🙏🙏 Huge lines at Al Pastor Papi foodtruck now, but the real ones will still be there when the hype settles down lol.

So much respect that he didn't just take a class on al pastor and called it a day, but that he actually when to chilangolandia (mexico city for those who don't know lol ) and learned from the taqueros there. In TACOS AL PASTOR, what was adopted from the Lebanese foreigners was the way to vertically put the meat in the form of a "top" and rotate it on the fire. Because it should be remembered that: Muslims do not eat pork; in addition to ingredients such as nixtamalized corn for tortillas or achiote and chiles to marinate the meat, all of them are native ingredients of Mexico. The tacos al pastor were not brought from the east, what we do adopt from the east is the way to put the meat on a top. But not the preparation and everything else, the only thing that was adopted from the Lebanese is the way of cooking the meat, the taco al pastor is 100% Mexican, because the way you cook a dish doesn't matter

I have eaten at Al Pastor Papi numerous times. Easily one of the BEST food trucks in San Francisco. Miguel and his team even fed the first responders during the 2020 wildfires in the North Bay. Great people! Miguel will always have my business.

I’m from the Bay Area and I’ve never heard of this restaurant. I’ve been to a many places in SF but I would say none have matched up to East Oakland’s Mi Grullense Taco Truck.
