Hey Arnie, I’m an Irish guy with a Mexican wife and just made your recipe for dinner - she said it’s as good as any she’s had from a taqueria in Chihuahua- I would agree 😋- thanks so much!

I guess, if you want to be literal about it. If he was born here in Texas, I guess you can say he is Texan but we both no most people won't see it that way. Forgetting the fact that Texas did belong to Mexico but ehhh either way food is delicious. Lol

@@DanDruff4bro… tejano cultura is Mexican culture. Texas was Mexican up till the republic of Texas defeated Santa Anna at the battle of san Jacinto. To say Texas isn’t Mexican is really splitting hairs that don’t need to be split. Texas is as Mexican as it is part of the United States. Culturally, historically and geographically.

    Arnie,
Although now living in the Pacific Northwest, (I am a Native South Texan from Corpus Christi), I really appreciate watching all of Your videos and have learned so much from You.
From the “Flippity-Flip” on Hamburgers, to Carne Guisada, Brisket, Carne Asada, Tamales with Your Mom, Salsas and so much more, I look forward to each new tutorial video from You.
I am such a better cook because of You.

Arnie. I'm a white boy raised in San Antonio. I live out in Kingwood now. You and your mother's recipes take me straight back to SA where I learned about and learned to love Mexican cooking. Texan BBQ is what it is, but those who are missing out on real traditional Mexican cooking are in desperate need of your recipes! You are doing God's work. I have been recreating your recipes for my family and they LOVE each and every one of them!!! I will be giving this one a shot this weekend. I hope I can pull it off! God bless and stay safe my man!

I made these tacos tonight with the salsa Verde, your mom's Mexican rice recipe, and your refried beans.... to say this was the best plate of food I've made for me and my family is an UNDERSTATEMENT. The flavors were amazing! We all did a little dance and I'm pretty confident by the end of the night we will all be sporting Arnie Tex mustaches 😂😂😂 Thank you for the great tips and wonderful recipes! So, I don't have a cooking apparatus like yours, or a vertical rotisserie/broiler. However, I do have a large vertical pellet smoker, and a hook that I could hang the meat on similar to a vertical skewer. I can blast it in the smoker for 4 ish hours. My question is, do you think that would alter the flavor too much? Or do you think it would still be worth trying? Smokers make great bark.
I live in Utah, originally from Texas, and pastor might be my favorite food of all time. There are some decent pastor places here, but i have been wanting to make my own for a long while. This video has inspired me to try with the tools I have on hand!
