Leaving the legion of honor out of the museum list is wiiiild. It’s by far the best in the city with an absolutely incredible view and collection. Great on Saturdays, when they play the organ that’s built into the entire museum. It’s eerie in the best way

Lowkey if you haven’t been recently and are interested in covering it, I have passes and I’d love to show you around. Email is in my description if you’re interested.

A walk north through Chinatown for morning dumplings, then to north beach for lunch, then up telegraph hill and down Greenwich steps to Levi Plaza, and down the Embarcadero to the ferry building is a great little adventure full of scenic vistas and good food. Been doing this every other weekend or so for years.

Great video as a 30 year SF resident, I’d say your rankings are all in the right neighborhood (pun intended). Land end is S tier though.

Great video. For me, the best view on the Golden Gate Bridge is from Marin Headlands.

Seriously, you not recommend the Golden gate bridge to visit, because it is usually cold or can be foggy? It is ridicoulus!

As someone who's been to SF many times because I have family there, he's not wrong. Go look at it from the Presidio but getting up on the bridge itself is a waste.

I live in the area. Many times you can’t even see the bridge. It is cold and windy. Many tourist are not dressed appropriately and could take forever to park. It is always crowded. So you could do much better in other places and with great views of the bridge.

Generous travel guide with a ton of work put in to give non-obvious recommendations from a local's POV? Time for a negative comment

Ferry Building on Saturday mornings is pretty dope, since you have the farmers market.
And House of Prime Rib is a must for food IMO

HOPR is absolutely an institution and worth a visit. But most locals will agree it's a classically overrated restaurant.

Specific ratings are personal opinions, of course, but overall I think this is a great video by a local. Maybe not for tourists and/or close enough to downtown, but I like Funston Beach, John McLaren Park, Mount Sutro Hiking Area and the residential areas around it. Even walking up the hill from Castro up toward Noe Valley. It's easy to find those hidden gems that are part of local living... Anyways, thanks for the fun video. People trash SF too much these days. LOL. There still are a lot of beauties left in the city.

    • @AdamDoesNotExist
      @AdamDoesNotExist  2 місяці тому

I used to go to John McLaren Park every day when I lived in Excelsior. I agree - the best way to find those hidden gems is to just walk around. There's so much going on in SF!

Great! Filbert/Greenwich stairs are S tier for me. My favorite walk in the City. Then a walk downhill to North Beach for a treat.

Well made video man! I want to add though, last I checked Waymo is still by invitation only (ie you need an invite code) and it's not likely a tourist would be able to get one, am I wrong?

    • @AdamDoesNotExist

I believe it's open access in SF now!

You are correct. Tourists can apply ahead of time for a special temporary invite code, but they need to do so in advance.

Hey, Adam! A really fun video. You know me, I consume all content SF. Always trying to get ideas. We were here for music March 8th weekend, this past weekend, and will be there on Easter (to pick up our Navy son flying into SFO). On the 1st, we are taking him and his girlfriend to Bodega Bay for the day. Bodega Bay is a must-visit, too.
Anyhoo, yeah, as many times as we have traveled to the city since 2020, we've never done the cable car, visited Pier 39, or gone to Alcatraz, and not into museums. 🤷‍♂
I agree with the Ferry Building. There is a lot to explore there. We recently saw DreamState at the Palace of Fine Arts. Did you know the PFA once housed the Exploratorium?
Love the Haight/Ashbury. Fun Fact. The Haight Street Market used to be a Rexal Drug Store way back in the day, that my grandfather owned. He was a pharmacist. My mother was born in SF. Once the hippies came around, my grandfather packed up with the family and moved to Pebble Beach where he then bought the Rexal Drug in Pacific Grove. I was born in Carmel.
You have footage of the Love on Haight store. I have bought a few "rave" pants there. ☮
No mention of Hayes Valley. When staying in Japantown, for a music event at GGP, one weekend, we ventured into Hayes Valley. It was so alive! Just bustling. So, not like downtown/financial district. Had a cocktail at Smugglers Cove, and then dinner at Chez Mamon Cafe. Thanks, again!

    • @AdamDoesNotExist

I had no idea the exploratorium was in the PFA! I've seen a few concerts there, and it is a really beautiful theater. Haye's Valley is really nice. There's a split second clip of Cathenge in the video!
