Any information that was put on the hard drive was password protected and Congress to this day has not been able to access all the information needed. They have been trying with the help of professionals to break the password and get into the hard drive but up to this point have not been able to do so.

I stopped watching the J6 televised hearing on day 1 when Liz C in her opening remarks actually deleted a part of Trump's statement to march "peacefully and patriotically" to the Capitol protest. She simply left these words out as if Trump had never said them. She had this on a large poster board in front of the cameras. Fortunately, there is a YT video of Trump's entire statement.

It is clear that Miller had the authority to deploy the Guard. That was never in question. What was in question was whether he was given orders to deploy. Trump claims (not under oath) that he was given orders. Miller testified under oath that he was not.
Both parties *WERE* invited to participate in an equal manner. The minority party declined to participate because the committee would not allow them to install material witnesses on the committee.
Nevertheless, the committee was chaired by members of the minority party *AND* most of the witnesses were members of the minority party. History may call that investigation "tainted", but not for the reasons suggested. It was tainted because it investigated an attempted coup involving members of the legislature.

Both Jordan and Banks had participated in the rejection of legal, certified votes with the intent to have fake votes counted. That makes them accomplices / material witnesses in the thing that was being investigated. Furthermore, according to Jordan's own words, he talked with Trump before, during, and after - further cementing his role as material witness. These were the only two that McCarthy selected that were rejected. McCarthy had a lot more alternatives.
