Alaskan here, more people have moved out of the state than in for the 11th consecutive year according to the Alaska department of labor. I wonder why, well actually I don’t have to wonder it’s the federal government killing jobs in our state do to the stupid policies. And those of us that are left we are getting killed by inflation. I read the other day that you needed to make $96K for a family of four to live comfortably here, I thought it was satire, nope a real article. If they made a movie about what has gone on in the last 3.5 years in the 90’s people would have been like this movie isn’t realistic at all and laughed at how dumb it was. We are a mineral, oil, natural gas, and timber rich state that could be providing for the entire country but instead our federal government shuts everything down and lets us become poor and weak which is a National security threat. The only mistake this man made was not looking into who holds the drilling leases and rights in New Mexico and who owns stock in that oil. That would answer a lot of questions as to why it Alaska is being shut down and why it went from 1 million to 2 million barrels.

As a member of a fellow federally recognized tribe, the drilling rights and the businesses are most likely the majority if not all of their economy.
Probably thousands of jobs lost, and countless businesses. Not even just oil related, but restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. I can’t say for certain but what I do know is if the feds said we couldn’t log our property or run the casino, we would be impoverished - just as originally intended.
