Here's a funny story. I remember my grandparents used to rent VHS tapes whenever I visited and around the holidays Michael Keaton's Jack Frost film was a favorite of mine to get. But one year when we re-rented, an employee at the rental spot had accidentally put the killer Jack Frost tape into the other's case. Let's just say I was horrified that christmas lol
I just finished watching this and it is as ridiculous as it gets where I was laughing uncontrollably. And like Billy, I should make his cackle my new ringtone.
My parents accidentally rented this Jack Frost from Blockbuster along with a couple of other movies for us kids to watch while they went Christmas shopping. This Jack Frost had been placed behind the kinder Jack Frost with Michael Keaton. Whether or not it was on purpose, we don't know. Anyway, our parents left and we chose Jack Frost to watch first and uh, ho boy, were we (pleasantly) surprised. We had a great time. When our parents got home, long after finishing the movie, we told our parents that we were pretty sure they rented the wrong movie. They watched some of it and were so embarrassed and mad. It's one of our favorite Christmas-time memories we bring up every year.
Imagine a cross over show down with all the Christmas horror characters. Krampus, Jack Frost, Gingerbread Man, the Grinch, killer robot Santa Claus, other Jack Frost, Silent Night killer, Nutcracker, Killer Christmas Tree, and more! A Holiday Christmas Massarce!!!
I remember being scared to death seeing the cover of this VHS at Blockbuster as a kid and just the initial making fun of the oven mitt punch already took away some of that fear LMAO thank you

They made a Jack Frost 2 where he is still alive and still a snowman but killing people in the Bahamas 😂 The director wanted to make a third entry where this time Jack was going to grow 70ft tall and terrorize a city during Christmas. The name of the movie was going to be called Jackzilla 🤣

There's some weird charm that bad movies have; ESPECIALLY the horror ones. This was a weird twist of cheap horror fun and I ate it up. I'd laugh, then have major coughing fits and didn't care. Korey went to high school with Shannon Elizabeth... WHOA. Did not know that. To me she is one of the highlights of this film, especially with that bathtub scene.

Just one of those weird coincidences where two films happened to do the same concept. Y'all need to check out another one called Monsturd from 2003 if you haven't. The snowman rape scene didn't age well? It was meant to be offensive at the time. It is meant to be in bad taste. The movie is an extremely low-budget straight-to-video shlock horror movie, If you think that is bad, watch Thankskilling. *Looks at the thumbnail.* Yep, I remember that video cover from Blockbuster. False advertising in full force. Hell, the Jack Frost thumbnail selling the film on UA-cam Movies that I am looking at right now has the decency to show what the killer snowman actually looks like.
One detail that always bothered me with r*pe scene (aside from the scene existing at all) is that he most likely uses the carrot. He's "noseless" in that scene.⛄
RiffTrax did a great roast on this film. It was hilarious all the way through. Its done by Mike, Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo), and Bill Corbett (Crow) of MST3k. Totally worth a watch.
@44:00 Hold up. At the start of the movie the two of you were talking about how you enjoyed seeing more of Shannon Elizabeth and how you both wanted to "get up in that", but here, you have a problem with it?

Been playing High on Life and in the game, they have a living room tv where they play random obscure and bad movies like Tammy and Trex, Vampire Hookers, Demon Wind, and this really weird movie you guys should talk about called Blood Harvest. The main girl has a weird clown brother and a town that acts so casual to the most suspicious shit.
Since you're doing this you should review the other jack frost movie. The one that succeeds at being scary more than this one despite not being a horror movie
Man, people usually criticize Quentin Tarantino’s acting, but he was fun as Jack Frost lol but seriously, this movie is so cheesy but so much fun, it’s a true holiday classic
1:03 is where the fun begins. 10:28-12:02 I have no idea how he managed to get the drop on this man and snap his neck with his foot like that if he was chained up. 12:02-12:38 Was the editor messing around with the software? 21:12-23:37 When you said “laying disrespect everywhere” I thought you meant they were going to do it. 26:01-28:07 Hahahaha! That is so cheap that cheapskates would laugh at it. 32:14-32:19 Me: I don’t get it. Jack Frost: You uncultured swine! 37:49-38:49 Jack Torrance would be very frustrated at how he used that axe. 42:17-42:37 It looks like he had too much marshmallow fluff. 42:37-43:32 James from Dead Meat didn’t even show this scene in his Kill Count, even though it just looks like he’s slamming her against the wall. 44:59-45:26 Was the ghost of Mrs. Lovett watching over him? 46:57-47:00 (Dead Meat) James: “Can someone please explain to the screenwriter what jokes are, please? Thanks.”

director Michael Cooney did the voice of the man who tells the story of Jack Frost over the opening credits. Marsha Clark, the actress who played the dispatcher in the film, did the voice of the little girl. The movie was shot in the winter during a drought year when there was no snow on the ground. According to actor Scott MacDonald, the temperature went as high as 70 degrees. Foam and cotton swabs had to be used as substitutes. Shannon Elizabeth's first acting role in a movie and her first nude scene. She filmed this before she got the breast implants she reveals in American Pie (1999). Shot in 18 days. The stunt sequence with Sam and Jack Frost falling out of a window and into the back of a pickup truck was done in a single take. One actor who read for the role of Jack Frost pulled a knife at his audition. It's tragically coincidental that Christopher Allport (Sheriff Sam Tiler) was killed in an avalanche. According to director Michael Cooney, the film's production was heavily delayed due to issues with financing. The word cemetery is misspelled on the map the sheriff is looking at with the Federal Agent. The film was given complete creative freedom. The original company that agreed to finance the movie went bankrupt just weeks before filming. The bank oversaw the film, but it left the filmmakers alone, it just wanted a 90 minute movie in a video package. This gave Michael Cooney and the producers complete autonomy with whatever they wanted to do. They didn't have to run anything through anybody, which to them was quite a luxury to have. One of George Price's favourite films, the comedy-horror was jointed with a earlier comedy-horror Ice Cream Man (1996) as one of his favourite films. There was originally going to be a regular opening title sequence for the film. After the budget decreased, they couldn't afford to create one so they came up with the idea to film Christmas ornaments with the titles on them instead. Writer/director Michael Cooney's initial two inspirations for this film were The Abyss (1989) with its ILM-animated water creature and Shocker (1989) with it's concept of an executed serial killer able to seek vengeance from beyond the grave by transformation into another form. As Billy is making a combined oatmeal, beside him there's a small marshmallow snowman with an arm off. Foreshadowing that Billy would get attacked by the killer snowman's remaining arm at the end of the film. The buried antifreeze (containing Jack Frost's cellular remains) starts bubbling at the last scene, indicating a sequel (which eventually got made). No one actually called the police to the house where the couple were murdered.
Lmfao. Back in the day when damn near everything in the video store got rented at least once...cheesy B-movies or not. I remember watching this with my best friend and losing our shit.
Shannon Elizabeth gets to put “violated to death by an evil snowman” on her resume as her first film role.

Hold up. At the start of the movie the two of you were talking about how you enjoyed seeing more of Shannon Elizabeth and how you both wanted to "get up in that", but here, you have a problem with it?
Who remember these Horror films, The Fear, Milo, Pinocchio's Revenge, Brain Scan, The Willies, it's Alive, 1 2 and 3, The Ice Cream Man, Uncle Sam or Basket Case, 1 2 and 3 😃
Did they buy the costume from a party city?
I was one of those children who traumatized by this movie when I was kid my mother bought it at a blockbuster without Cover on it thinking it was Micheal Keaton film
Every time Billy's laughter rings, an angel gets its wings!
32:14-32:19
Me: I don’t get it.
Thanks.”
Y’all should do thankskilling next
This one of those movies that's so bad its funny LMAOOOOOO.
(Brad Dourif) Charles Lee Ray aka Chucky the Killer Doll

29:54 You sure you wanna keep going 😂😂😂😂
director Michael Cooney did the voice of the man who tells the story of Jack Frost over the opening credits.
The narrator sounds like Malcolm McDowell to me... although I don't see him (or any narrator) in the IMDB credits
I went to high school with a kid who's last name was Frost and his dad's name was Jack.
I remembered when dead meat reviewed. The actual footage caught me off guard
32:18 I thought something Spongebob-related was gonna happen there.
They should’ve done Michael Keaton as Jack Frost for bad movie roast.
The rape scene doesn't bother me because if you're a serial killer like Jack Frost why would you draw the line at rape?
46:57 Absolute Classic!
Lmfao. Back in the day when damn near everything in the video store got rented at least once...cheesy B-movies or not. I remember watching this with my best friend and losing our shit.
I remember seeing a bit of this in my math class (I think) in high school.
