I'm glad that there are so many of us riding the "Tia for scale" train. It's a thing you guys. You can never end it now or your audience will be upset. 😉
Wow, they did updates to Batu caves since I was there last. The stairs were not painted when I was there. It's now in bright colors. I am also impressed that you guys made it to the top in one trip. It took me two breaks in between to get to the top. Those stairs are killer, especially in 90 degree weather with 85% humidity.
nice tourist destination.Have a fun and enjoy...have a blessed day!
Lovin this! I'm catching up to your most current one, but going slow so I can enjoy watching this to end my night of work!
I started following you guys since your Vietnam trip but let me tell you this, tbh you both are the cutest couple! Glad you enjoyed your stay in Malaysia.
The it’s for scale is the highlight of the video when it’s featured! 😂 hilarious. And educational - of course 😂
Good hikes up Penang Hill and the Botanical Gardens too. Also Penang Waterfall Hill Temple. 😬
The cave looked amazing…I can’t imagine seeing it in person 😍 so nice seeing you guys land these nice hotel rooms🙌🏽
Wow!!! I've been there 6 years ago! and, when I went there, the stairs weren't colorful🥹
Please enjoy your beautiful trip!
Hahaha….yes I was wondering about Tia for scale….subscribe!
I went to the Batu caves and few weeks ago. It was a great experience. The stair climb sucked but it was worth it
Do have a great time here. Subscribing to see what will u guys come up next in your videos. Can't wait :)
Wow! They updated the stairs! I heard they might be - in time for the festival! We went there only a month ago, already so much has changed!
From Carrollton, TX (Suburb of Dallas) ... 5th Like/View, my closest to #1, ever!!!
just realized “flora and note” are in malaysia too. i want to go too!
I will go to Malaysia just to see Batu Caves, they looked awesome.
Yes! You will absolutely love Penang! Take your time to check out the entire island, and can't wait for your next update!
ps: Penang is has the most Chinese ethnicity in Malaysia, so you need to try Chinese food here ^^
Nice--I went there 30 yrs ago and still remember the adventure on the mini bus. Good memories of KL
I was in Malaysia few weeks ago and I was not able to go to the cave. Glad you guys made it!!!
When did you visit, I saw Flora and Notes video when they were there and the steps were being painted white?!
12:27 You guys are 100% correct lol I was like....whaaaat!! no Tia for scale!
I was going to use this post to voice my sadness that you didn't do a Tia for scale, but then you snuck it in at the last moment, even though we couldn't quite see it.
Thanks for staying true guys. 👍👍😆😆
The festival that is coming to Batu Cave is called ' Thaipusam ' lots of fire walking , carrying body piercing kavadi stuff , as for Penang , do not leave that island without trying penang laksa and fried cha kueh tiow and also if ya have the time visit the night bazzar at gurney drive , seaviews of batu ferringi , teluk bahang and the snake temple full of defanged snakes , not poisonous , fangs all gone .. if still have time visit pulau langkawi nearby to sample black rice
Ahhh so excited about the postcard! I sent you guys a message on Insta :)
U both need go to Esplanade Penang..pasembor, coconut shake n squid noodles there so delicious.. should try
Hi glad you’ve made it to Georgetown. Sri Anand Bhagwan in Tanjung Bungah is a great Indian restaurant. Catch the 101 or 102 from Komtar. The night market at Tanjung Bungah on a Tuesday night is worth a look see. The Murturbak from the large hot plate on the back of a truck is the best at the market. Also the boat ride at Teluk Bahang ( the national park )at the north western corner of Penang is great for the wildlife spotting especially the Sea Otters. Enjoy Penang, see you in Perth. 🤩
It's nicer to see the caves on Video than in person. Smells way better.
Hahaha it is a bit stinky in person
I was a batu say this video is amazing! I may cave in and have to visit Malaysia! 😊
I was waiting for Tia for scale. I was looking at those steps. 🤣😂
Transition game leveled up 7:32 !!
You fooled me! I kept thinking it's coming soon, wait for it. I'm with Ricky below. You'll have a mutiny if you leave out TFS
The videos are starting to evolve! Love watching
All the food looks so good! I almost got worried when you didn't do Tia for scale at the big statue 🤣
Am really glad you guys head to Penang. Went there and had such a blast! And yes the taxi drivers I had was mostly chatty and helpful to our trip. Oh and had Kapitan as well i think its really popular there. One of my highlights was eating Nasi Kandar so I really recommend you guys get to try it before you leave Penang!
So nice you made it to Batu Caves and now the Food Heaven ~ Penang. Check out:
- have to try trishaw ride around George Town 😊
- Famous mural @ Armenian Street - Kids on a bicycle (based on real kids) 😊.
- Clan jetties, George Town.
- Batu Feringgi night market
- Kek Lok Si temple
Foods 😋:
Char koay teow, Assam laksa, rojak mamak (pasembur), Hokien mee, nasi lemak, ikan bakar (grilled fish). Desert Theochew chendol. I’m drooling already 😂.
Enjoy and looking forward for the next update 😘
I noticed you were staying in my neighbourhood in KL! Hope you enjoyed the vibe.
Fantastic vlog ,I’ve always loved Malaysia. Great to see you guys enjoying yourself wherever yz go ,your personalities and your way of presenting your Vlogs is always great to see. Can’t wait for more . amazing you’re gonna head down to Australia. Hopefully you can find some cheap accommodation and food but don’t like your chances ,keep up the great work. Love your vlogs to be a little bit longer. Fantastic anyway👌
The budget in Australia will be a huge challenge.
The fact that Tia done the scale under the statue but got blocked by the end of the video recommendation video window. 😂😂
Welcome to my hometown, Recommended to go to Langkawi after this.
Nice matching music background. you guys must be spending quite a bit of time trying to match the background score with the theme of the attraction. It shows, great work!
Check out Penang Hill and the Habitat
I enjoyed eating a lot of gobi 65, the vegetarian version with cauliflower, when I was working in South India. Tamil food is so delicious! When I first arrived I also made Cheveyo's mistake of thinking a white sauce was yoghurt and eating it to calm down the level of spice in my mouth, only to discover it was coconut chutney with a lot of raw green chilis blended into it 😅
Good morning from California. What's a beautiful caves and also thank you for your video.
We've been to Penang twice. On the second trip, we were with several friends and we ate our way through Georgetown to the point that we started saying after each meal, "I'm never going to eat again" because we ate so much. We nicknamed the trip the Never eating again tour.
😂🤣🤣🤣
Definitely was going to comment “No Tia for scale at tallest statue in Malaysia?” But you got me good at the end. Also chicken 65 is famous all over the world with everyone taking credit for the recipe, creation and the naming. Nothing is proven but the version I like is that it was just item number 65 on the Mumbai hotel menu. There can’t be 65 spices in it right like some claims?
try Penang laksa and Indian rojak
Nice video
Have fun in Malaysia! I love asking Malaysian Grab drivers their food recommendations, its always such a fun conversation and I discovered so many gems that way. They are so passionate about the food, and rightfully so ! Edit; to add my recommendation, try Penang Char Kway Teow!
Did you see Batuman in the Batu Caves? Sorry, couldn't help myself.
I was almost like "I can't believe they didn't do Tia for scale at the Giant statue" but then you did, yeeaaah hahahaha. Have fun you guys and also do check out Langkawi Island (ran into the youtubers "Travels on Toast" back in September in Langkawi, hope to one day run into you guys as well). Safe travels and as always, cheers.
오늘도 좋은 영상 잘보았습니다.
건강 관리 잘 하면서 다니시기 바랍니다~
Great vlog guys, we loved George Town! We recommend eating at 'Restoran Tajuddin Hussain' in Little India - it's very local but cheap and so good! Also Jawi House Cafe Gallery...their biriyani is incredible. Chulia Street (where you ate that first night) is also a great place for street food and super cheap! Enjoy!!
You need to timestamp the “Tia for scale” in your videos. Totally redeemed yourself this video with the easter egg at the end. Will there be a “Tia for Scale” compilation video in the future? Maybe for the 100th episode?
NO WAY !!!!! U guys are at MALAYSIA now ???? Can’t wait to meet up !
Wow Obama is on UA-cam!
Chicken 65, my favorite Indian dish.
Wanna go to malasya, so ... Following your steps :)))
You are getting good with your video transitions and nice touch adding Indian music at the Batu Caves 😀
The red chicken pieces you had for dinner looks like Chicken Tikka - similar to Tandoori, except do you know if eating Tandoori chicken in India, they are not red but brown and moist. Did you guys try Bak Kut Tea (herbal meat soup with rice) in KL?
Couple of Malaysian dishes that some claim originated from Penang are Assam Laksa and Har Mee with noodles. The Char Kuai Teow in Penang is also somewhat different.
Hi guys.
Heard you are going to Singapore.
We are from Australia and have been following you for a while.
If we happen to arrive in Singapore at the same time, we would love to shout you a drink or two.
We would love that 😊
Not sure on exact dates, but we should be in Australia within a week!
@@OnePackWanderers we arrive in Singapore on the 9th Feb. Are you still there?
Penang Assam Laksa (noodle dish) 😋🤤
"No prices in the menu" 😵💫 why? Right? Hehehr
PENANG IS FKN AWESOMEEEE!!!
Amazing vlog. A little sidenote though, I think we need a spinoff series of "Tia for scale" called "Cheveyo for scale." Lol 😂
😂🙏👍💪🙌 Penang Curry noodles 👍Char keow teao 😋Poe pia creap
Top countries you should visit:
Nepal
Georgia
Azerbaijan
India
Uzbekistan
Peru
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Tia for scale😂👍✌️🤙
I wish you guys would do raw vlogs at least every few videos where you go out exploring and just film every thing and don't edit or put B-Rolls in. please consider trying this out❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
At 1:47 (cough) Tia for scale.
I can’t tell how tall that statue really is.
Batu Caves look nothing like it did several years ago. More shops, shrines and more colourful. Where were the monkeys, there used to be monkeys everywhere. Still looked good and interesting.
Not sure what happened to the monkeys. We watched videos that had them all over, but when we went there was just one.
Not complaining though, monkeys can be mean 😂
She is Japan in Malay
Yikes at the billboard and weird shops inside the cave. disgraceful
👍🏼😊👍🏼
Look at you power running up those stairs hahahahahahaha
Anything for the video 😂🤣
👍
The Michael Bay of spinning Tia
Chicken 65 is the best.
My wife and I went to the Batu Caves about 10 years ago. At that time there were many monkeys. As you walked up the stairs, the monkeys were on the rails looking for people to give them food.
I saw no monkeys in your video.
There was just one monkey on the stairs, which we showed in one shot in the bloopers.
We expected there might be a lot more, but maybe the monkeys were driven away or moved out?
@@OnePackWanderers I was there 6 months ago and there were soooooo many monkeys at the bottom and along the steps. One jumped onto my friend and stole her water bottle. We climbed the rest of the way terrified and holding onto our belongings for dear life.
@@joanxxo
That sounds very much like our experience. There must have been an active effort to remove the monkeys.
@One Pack Wanderers
I watched the bloopers again and more carefully. I saw the one climb up the pole.
Headed in your general direction next week - Singapore, Thailand and Laos for a 1 month trip.
Woo! Sounds like an awesome trip. Laos looks really interesting 🙂
You're in Penang, so you should be eating Chinese... For Malay head to Ipoh... 😉
Malay is actually pronounced mer-lay, not may-lay! FYI.
✨ Cave name derived from English "bat-doo" 😇
Hahaha nice 😂
What happened to the monkeys?
Dunno, must’ve moved them out?
Where are those notorious monkeys? 🙈🙉🙊
I think they probably got pushed out in anticipation of the Thaipusam festival.
Batu is slang for meth in Hawaii
Why wouldn’t you give the taxi drivers name or contact?
Because we don’t have his contact and I don’t want to give his name out without permission 😬
I was just there in Penang .Stayed in the Batu Feringgi area and enjoyed beach time and the night markets . Explore the streets of Georgetown and Armenia Street. Penang has awesome street murals and if you are in Malaysia for the Thaipusam festival it will be truly amazing to show your viewers . I’m sure you’ll enjoy Penang as much as I did
very bad staff the ask always money pandit is very bad the say if u want come payer u pay money
