Really enjoyed this. I've never seen the hotel you stayed in before but it looked really nice, especially that pool. We're heading to KL for the first time next month an actually staying a couple of nights in the banyan tree where u went to vertigo bar. Thanks for sharing
That tea pods hotel is a budget while continew residence is almost like Airbnb or homestay. It's located nearby NU Sentral & KL Sentral. There are many hotels around because it's the city centre & public transports just within walking distance

From TBS Station 1 can take lrt to Awan Besar and free shuttle to Pabillion at Bukit Jalil.

Dont forget to join the celebration of Malaysia Day this year. The event is called "Keretapi Sarong" but it will be held on 14 Sept 2024. (Malaysia Day is actually celebrated on 16th Sept every year but this year the date clash with the Birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW so they celebrate it earlier due to show some respect i guess) . I am really sure you will enjoy the vibe of Keretapi Sarong because it is a super fun events full of cultures, diversities and colours.
There's a locker section inside KL Central. Just ask the information counter. It would ease your transiton much better. KL Central have everything you need including a mall attached.

If you like island, you should go to Langkawi Island, Redang Island and Pangkor Island. The most popular among tourists is Langkawi Island if you don't have the time to go to all 3 islands. It's located in the north of Malaysia. Another beautiful island is Semporna Island. This is located in Sabah, East Malaysia.
The ERL train ride from KLIA or KLIA2 is the most convenient way of getting into the city to KL Sentral. But for two person, it's slightly cheaper and more convenient to either take the airport taxi or grab, both at a fixed price, right to the place you are staying. I think a bus trip from the airport to the city is the cheapest, but it will go through the traffic like a taxi or grab, depends on the time you are on the road, it could be a pleasant journey, sometimes get caught for a while in busy traffic flow.
The next time you guys are in KL, consider the local SIM card which is very affordable. And if you are staying longer in KL, consider buying a monthly commuter pass, it's a big value for your money if you regularly use the public transportation. I also had some small complications when buying a token from the machine, so I normally make sure I have small change, notes of RM5 or RM10.
No you can definitely tap in by card no need to purchase the token just get yourself a touch n go card. That card can be use for all transportation modes in Malaysia

@@couplesquest_From Langkawi you can take boat ride from Kuah ferry terminal to Koh Lipe(South of Thailand island -quite unspoilt). I hope they still operate those boat rides. There are also flights from Langkawi to Penang by Air Asia.
I love flying into asia by way of KL! Not a big city person either but so fun to stay a week, KL makes it easy to enjoy with its modern conveniences like grabs, malls + trains. I’ve never eaten at jalan alor, it’s a bit expensive bc it’s all tourists + tourists prices. If you want good food + prices try eating in Pudu the area where u were staying. Lots of Chinese restaurants + Indian malay. Also ICC Pudu, a hawker center is awesome for brunch with lots of malay + chinese options. Try Kampung Baru as well for dinner. Lots of nasi campur or nasi kerabu buffet of toppings for your rice, type restaurants.
Aaah some amazing advice here. We will remember now for sure. And we intend on visiting KL every time we fly to Asia now. It’s usually a good price flight and such a great city. Will remember these places when we come back 🙌🏼

That food sauce, peanut is for satay, ketchup or soy sauce is for grill chicken and tofu. While local enjoy eating rice mixed with that Kung Pao chicken, a bit rice, a bit of chicken a bit of vegetables, and put it in your mouth , But that just how the local did

Luggage storage is actually within the KL sentral itself and you could buy a touch and go card for just tap on the gate and top up when necessary.

That food sauce, peanut is for satay, ketchup or soy sauce is for grill chicken and tofu. While local enjoy eating rice mixed with that Kung Pao chicken, a bit rice, a bit of chicken a bit of vegetables, and put it in your mouth , But that just how the local did

I will never go to Bali again after going to KL, just got back to Oz and ready to go again next month, this time to Penang and Langkawi.
We are excited to come back to Malaysia and visit these places, as well as others. But we don’t like to compare Bali to those places. They are all different and beautiful in their own way 🥰

Problem is they never go to greater kl areas. Greater KL is home to almost 9mil people now. It should be much easier now with mrt, lrt and ride hailing
