Nice overview mate, thanks. I'm loving my Quest Pro, esp. since adding a top strap and forehead pad mod. Mainly wireless PCVR with Air Link and all my flight sims, like msfs, never looked so good and played so well. Thanks again mate and cheers.
I just jumped on the Quest Pro during the weekend price reduction. I mainly used my Quest 2 to watch movies and for immersed and immersed runs a lot better on Quest Pro. If you’re strictly using for gaming then I think it’s worth waiting for the Quest 3 or wait till Quest Pro’s price reduces again.
I've been using Immersed since the Quest 2 came out and often spend several days a week on it for extended periods. Given my deep integration into the Apple ecosystem, I'm planning to switch to the AVP soon. Additionally, Immersed is releasing their own headset (or glasses) shortly, and I'm looking forward to trying those as well.
Very interesting video, it has almost everything I want to know about Quest Pro except a few things: On the one hand I currently use Quest 2 with Immersed VR to work better with the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 (which has a screen that is too small for my eyes) so with Immersed VR I can see everything on a virtual monitor of several meters; but I need to be able to see the actual screen to see where I'm touching, and that with Quest 2's horrible passthrough doesn't look good. I would like to know if with Quest Pro it will be possible to see through the passthrough the details of the screen at which it looks. And on the other hand, I would like to know if the controllers have a pressure sensor to detect, for example, the pressure when drawing with the help of the pencil tips. Thank you very much for your wonderful work.

The quest 2 launched with 72hz only then software updates gave it 90hz and later 120hz. I expect the pro to get software updates that make the refresh rate better like with the quest 2.
It was much different being in horizon workrooms with someone in the Meta Quest Pro…I jumped into ShapesXR with my friend and it was a lot different seeing his facial expressions, super cool and color pass through is awesome
I bought your virtual tour pro package and I was wondering if you could do a video soon about taking measurements in a tour (dragging a mouse from a starting point to a end point and getting a measurement). I use Pano2VR for my tour creation. Any suggestions, personal experience etc would be fantastic!
Great review of the Quest Pro 😀Headset is better in many points compare to Quest 2 but with same OS, software, apps indeed not have enough for money spent. I am waiting for more contents especiallty related with augmented reality and link with Spark AR studio from Meta. I would expect more on this part. Let's see Regards Fabien
@@BenClaremont Thanks for the response Ben. I know this is probably not a fair question (which I am asking anyway:)). But, I am assuming motorcycle riding (just on the road) might be a bit too much movement?
2500 AUD. I am thinking about return it or not. I only have a week left. I feel more tired with pro than quest 2. And forehead cushion pressed a lot and causes headaches.
Well at least we know it’s future proof so I won’t be rushing to get another headset instead since it’s already advance I can just wait for softwares to catch up with any latest games they throw my way in the next couple of years , Sweet! 😊
Ok ok, but what are the synergies with 360 cameras? If I film my vacation in 360, will I have a good time watching it in the VR headset? How about if I film it in 3D 180? Or maybe the headset could help with the workflow, more easily orienting one self in the 360 space while making it into a normal 16:9 TV/monitor video?
@@BenClaremont which is my main use actually :) and I'm just starting to use my HMD to preview snaps from my new Insta360 x3 (on your advice) and to make 360 music vids in my loop lab again! Thanks Ben! [ here's some of my older 360 vids using the Gear360s :/ ua-cam.com/play/PLcuv7PDBbDe7USoZoQ7aW02OkpTjki1jf.html ]
Is it interesting to have for people making virtual tours and any such? I already tested the insta360 app on quest 2 but it lacks immersive viewing of insp and insv files (but you can export and edit etc). 12GB of memory rich the pro might be able to see the 72MP files of the X3...or does it?
You start this video by stating that $1500 is 3 times the price of the "average" VR headset. This isn't true...there are quite a few VR headsets in & over the $1000 price range. The "average" VR headset that's comparable with the Quest Pro most likely has an "average" price around $1000...so the $1500 price of the Quest Pro isn't as high as a lot of people are making out imo
@Ben Claremont HTC, Varjo, Pimax, Simula, Somnium, Valve...etc All manufacturers that produce standalone headsets ALL over the $1000 price point. Only Meta, Pico & Skyworth that I'm aware of produce standalone VR around $500. None of which have stereoscopic AR (so not close to being the MR device that the Quest Pro is) Maybe I'm wrong & your aware of more companies that have standalone VR headsets within the Quest Pro's specs that are around $500.....but I doubt it 🤔
I'm kinda digging the fly look 🪰
I kinda see it as a jet fighter helmet look

For sure. Do you find immersed is helpful for your day to day work, or are you using it more for the wow factor?

Hey- so you’ll need to use a real estate focused software for that. Check out my Matterport comparison video from about a year ago 👍🏻

How good is this VR headset for viewing something like Insta 360 X3 raw video?
It’s great, as long as there isn’t too much movement in the shots
@@BenClaremont Thanks for the response Ben.

No doubt about Meta Quest Pro, it's a very good headset but not for me, too expensive for a hobbyist like myself.
Thanks Ben, very useful video 👍👍👍
Fair enough!
Thanks ,again .

On my it has happened 3 times where the right lens wont turn on until i restart the headset its annoying any input on that would be appreciated

VR is a great way to view back your 360 photos & videos in the most immersive way possible 👍🏻

Enjoy META PRO...
Thanks?
How's the FOV? A lot of people say that it's much wider than Quest 2.
Does feel wider for sure
90hz is better on stand alone devices. it won't drain the battery as fast as 120.

Yes you can sideload your files 😁
Meta Quest Pro: 1 Thing you need to know. It's made by Meta.
Well done
and your point is?
Ok and?

Sure there are a few expensive ones… but the main/most popular headsets come at the lower price points. They are definitely comparable with Quest Pro.

Can you view 360 photos and videos with these headsets? I would have thought that should be something they would be great at for $1500.
Yes it’s easy to sideload your 360s onto it 👍🏻
Forehead is crazy the pain. And it’s so lose. Not for heavy gaming.
