That “oi” had me losing my shit. Bloody gold
Lost it at the "Oi!" to the birds ha hah aha
Probably the 5th person saying it but that "oi" had me in stitches. Love the content 👌🤣
Ben low key comedian, that “oi” bit mate I am in tears. Besides the calming, very informative material I am here for the skits. Anyways we need a chat about Kentucky Blue.
Watching this while I’m here in the U.K. makes me so excited for the summer. Cracking video boy
Your videos help me relax after a long day I appreciate the work you put in them .it's midnight right now
Your videos are incredibly well edited. Love how you incorporated the drone shots from above. You make this stuff look FUN.
😱😱😱😱 this one is new
Yo mate, waddup 😏 welcome to another lawn tip vid 🧢🕶😉😉

Great content mate love ya work just gave my rye a light overseed as well got heaps of dry spots from heat when I was away, hope ya lawn comes back strong, found a good way to keep the birds off was star picket in the middle of yard with few old CDs tied to it birds don’t like the reflection 🤷♂️ worked for me!
I could watch ben flick top soil out all day awesome camera shots
Thanks legend 👌🏽
That was a lot of work for one guy! Good job 👏
Lawn level stripes 💯
Ben’s an absolute legend!
Speak for yourself son
Nice to see Product Of New Zealand on that bag of seed..
Radar working , LOL got a Cyclone building of the coast and both Cairns and Townsville radars are on the blink 🙃 ...... Lawn will spot on in a few weeks 👌
Ready for anotha lawn tip vid!
Good God man... what a work out.
Wait what? you found undies!!! I'm guessing they we soiled for sure!!!... (Don't worry, I will see myself out. cheers)
You’ve put done yourself m8 😂
Thank you nice video appreciate the effort
Would love to see a buffalo project
Cant use seed for buffalo 👎 have you seen the man overseed his lawn. Not a chance he would give up that opportunity 🤣
Never said you could seed buffalo. Just making a comment I would like to see a buffalo project at some point
Have a look at The Aussie Lawn. He's got quite a few buffalo videos up there
awesome vid mate
Last Aussie 😁 Great video . 😎👍👍
I had some real bad top soil once, full of all kinds of crap, glass, sprinkler bits, bark etc. I got my money back for it. I had snake mesh left over so made a frame over the barrow and basically sifted the crap out. Adds a bit more time but left me with some not bad top soil..... just a tip 👍
Love the vid mate. So close to 100k iv been telling everyone to subscribe
Best soil flick on UA-cam. 🔥👍
Haha, thanks mate
Discovered your channel not too long ago mate - absolutely love it and have been using it as inspiration with amazing results on my buffalo lawn! Your video editing and overall equality is amazing and so enjoyable. Keep it up mate!
Thanks mate! Really appreciate that!
Bottom of that bag of seed product of the best country in the world I see🤣🤙
Love the channel man!
Thanks mate!
@@LawnTips Cheers from Ontario Canada! Got my first big groundskeeping job out of horticulture college as an exterior maintenance coordinator and your channels helped me make the facilities I maintain look gorgeous! Built a great year round seasonal maintenance schedule off your channel
Ah awesome, that’s so good! Honoured that you used my tips in your workplace!
Thanks man!
Great vid Ben big thanks.
If overseeding tiftuf in autumn with rye, are there conflicting water requirements?
Congratulations on the 100000K mate! 🤣.
PS: I've read about layering. Any risk of that with prior sand top dressing you've done?
Great vid from Canada - if I don’t have a leveller is using a stiff brush ok?
Love an overseed bud. I've achieved good results with peat moss. Keeps the seed moist and doesn't change the level of the lawn. Problem is that it costs a heap. If anyone knows where I can get it for
Yo mate, could you make some vids on buffalo grass? Would love to get your insight on it
Made it look like it only took minutes to spread all that topdressing. If only that were the case haha
I wish that was the case
Hey Ben ! Thumbs up for the bird impression. ~(,, ,,">
When you use the lawn level, does it just push the seed down and not move it around?
Really great vids, a big thank you for some rye lawn content it’s helped me deal with withdrawals over the winter here in the UK.
I’ve been following your channel now for a little over a year and I completely went to town on my lawn 5 months ago and put down Dwarf Perennial Ryegrass and I love it. Question what setting for the over seed did you set Scott’s drop at? Also here in the UK we can’t legitimately get Tanacity so I’m after another way to stop POA coming pack.
Keep up the good work.
It's not cheap but some US sellers on Amazon will ship tenacity (or meso 4sc, the alternative brand of same product) to UK.
@@lukes3033 thanks Luke, I’ll have a look.
Great vid, Ben. I really want to top dress my lawn like this with compost but don't have the means of doing it efficiently for 9000 sqft.
Might need an eco 250 for that size!!
@@LawnTips for sure, I just haven't been able to find a place to rent one near by.
I was hoping for some Kentucky!
Soz broz. Maybe next year 🤔
Excuse my question as it may have already been answered elsewhere but I have Bermuda. I plan on Dethatching, aerating and overseeding. But the question is, if I have Bermuda, can I overseed with a perineal rye?
Quick question if I may. I live in the UK so different climate. Had a terrible winter which has left bare spots all over my lawns. I want to level it all out and overseed repairing all the bald spots. Should I repair first to see some growth and then level. Or level with sand and then overseed. Thanks
Nearly that time for me too all cored and ready to go. Does that too dress have many rocks in it
Hey Ben
I have P Rye, it’s around 13 months since I seeded. Water is difficult as I’m in regional Vic and survive on tank water.
I need to overseer and top dress with more soil. Q, I have areas where compaction has occurred and the base of my grass is 50 to 75mm below my edges.
What sort of thickness of soil can I add to existing grass.
Hey mate, have around 30 square metre of lawn that I need to cover with sand. Could you recommend a sand I should use or a top dress, either is fine! Just doing a bit of a project on my front yard.
Cheers mate
So, can I ask, how much do you estimate you would spend on your lawn, $$ wise, in a season? I realise that you probably get discounts etc etc but it would be interesting to know. As someone doing his lawn on basically $0.00 budget, it would be good to know what getting to your level costs.
Brilliant mate, looking forward to the results, btw what was the name of the app for tracking applications and feed can’t remember from a old video?
Lawn journal is the app 🤙🏼
What setting did you have the drop spreader on mate?
Is there any alternative for lawn level tool? I only have a small area to do
What soil temps is it in Orange ? Just interested because you said it’s time to get pre emergent down but up here in Qld it feels to early ! Wondering what soil temp I should wait for ?
Bloody hell I was about to start my presentation at uni with “yo m8 whuddup welcome to another lawn tip vid” a bit too much of your channel they reckon 🤣
Haha legend
Advanced seed! Say hello to Mick
Yo mate, loved the vid, as always. What are your thoughts on Poa Supina? Its really rising in popularity due to some youtubers in the german scene and looks really good... Greets from Austria!
Thoughts on ck88 mate ?
I did a top dress on my Santa ana and some spots were to thick and now it hasn't grown back. How can I fix it ?
Where you get your seed from? im in brisbane
Where can you get one of these lawn levelers from the UK
Can only find granular lawn feed and moss killer and no liquid stuff where do you get it
Been watching since day one. Please get a gorilla garden cart from bunnings. 10x easier to move around the garden and holds x2 the amount of soil aswell. I have since retired my 3 Sherlock barrows since we got these. Wheelbarrow is old school. Try it mate. My 65 year old dad carts around my daughter with one hand using the gorilla cart.
How do the carts go with a sloping block?
@@chevron916 Great because they also have a hinge bin that can be attached to a ride on mower. Also its alot easier to pull then push. Wheels are also flat free. There are 2 different sizes. Definitely get the bigger one mate. Have saved my arms and my back alot since I don't use the wheel barrow anymore.
What kind of soil do u use to top dress?
How did you get rid of the fungus?
👍
Ahh I've the same drop spreader from Scotts. Used it last year for the first time and for it being a cheap spreader I was pretty impressed.. although I would prefer it if it could dish out heavier amounts as Id often gone over the same area twice. (getting close to 100k subs!)
Ah man that was where I screwed up last year attempting first overseed, i just put seed down without the additional top dress. No wonder not much new grass came through (facepalm)
Ye Ye The overseed
Could I do this with my Kikuyu towards the end of the year when it starts to warm back up?
Sure could!
With the lawn level won’t it pick the seed up?
Are there any grasses you can't grow there?
Wednesday’s love you
When you said about scaring the birds you should have cut to Connor running out into the back yard scarring off the butthole deer . Great video
Haha 😂
✌🏾
Yo Mate, first!
Oi oi mate!
Dude what's the top dressing ,,other than black stuff
Question for you I’ve got real heavy clay soil and thinking of removing the top 200mm and putting in some Sandy loam would you separate it from the clay with a permeable non woven geo textile fabric or a layer of gravel?
700kg per ha ? the seed companies must love you. Irrigation regime?
That’s top rate. Recommended is about 5kg/100m2
doesnt take as long if you do full wheelbarrow loads mate !!!! hehehe
Quiet please young man 😆
OOOI!
When you over seed a lawn, do you have to stay off it for a long time(4+weeks? )like when you seed a "new" lawn?
How is it possible your lawn is dry? Thought you have a bore for watering
Talked about it a bit in the last few vids 👍🏽
Had lots of rain and roots became quite shallow (because of all the extra rain)
I assumed it would be ok because of the rain so I backed off the watering without really keeping an eye on some trouble spots. They dried out really quick because of the shallow roots.
oi oi
Hey Ben, what was the title of the song when you’re going with the drop spreader. Had a nice long macchiato on a Sunday morning vibe to it.
no soil preparation
First
I thought once you top dress with sand you have to continue with sand, no other material.
This stuff breaks down pretty quickly. I’ve used it a few years and it always breaks down
That lawn use to look good.
SWB is the best grass, if you don't have that you're a peasant.
I actually don't think I've ever seen your lawn fully healthy
Mate, when is anyone's lawn 100%? There's always room for development or improvement
Dude you need some trees!!!! So does the rest of the neighborhood. If not that put in a pool! Too much sun
Watch my latest video 😉
Tidy intro bro
this guy is so seedy
