60 Minute Challenging Morning Vinyasa Flow

  • This is a 60 Minute challenging morning vinyasa flow yoga class designed to work all the compartments of your body: spine, hips, shoulders, legs and abdominal core. Class begins gently with shoulder openers and undulations through the spine followed by warming sun salutations. The standing series of postures has some deeper versions of side angle to build heat along with some twists and side plank. Then onto some goodness for your glutes and abdominal core, finishing in a reclined position to balance out the front body with bridge, a twist and happy baby. Enjoy!

    Wow this was a killer 😮 did not expect morning flow to so intense!!! Loved all the core work and of course subconsciously my mind now keeps waiting to hear that a rest is coming up ! 😅 Thank you dear Fiona for yet another super flow , as always a zillion love and gratitude to you 🙏🥰

    Cool morning session. It's not too challenging, as the title promises (at least for me), but it's fun to wake up and energize. Well, and that fantastic voice of Fiona🙂

      Aww thanks… usually, if I break a sweat I say challenging or warming… but I might need to re think that strategy as everything warms me now lol… an age thing 😊❤️🙏

    Please don't let Fiona's soft and soothing voice deceive you! This was a challenging flow! 🤣 I loved the slow warm up, really lulled me into a sense of false security! Those ab moves at the end! Phew! Fantastic class!! Loved every minute of it (even the eagle crunches!). Thank you 😊🙏

      Lol!! Love your feedback Karla! Great you enjoyed the challenge! Have you tried the yoga conditioning/ low speed cardio? Just so you know, the classes are pre recorded as there would be no way I’d be able to talk sensibly through and do the ab work :-) this was strong x merry Christmas xx

    That certainly woke me up. I was feeling slightly cocky about not feeling overly challenged until we got to those ab exercises at the end. I really liked the eagle crunches. Tough but felt great. Thank you

      Good o! When I title it challenging, I can only measure from my own experience and you’re probably stronger, but I was sweating and totally regretting the number of reps! And I tend to start slow with a sneaky build :-) if you like a challenge, the yoga conditioning / cardio might appeal... I think I have about 4 or 5 of these classes on the channel :-) thanks so much 🙏 I’m glad I woke you up :-) Fi

    Only just found your channel and loved this. Challenging but not intimidating. You have such a calm voice and I love that you didn’t have music playing. Looking forward to trying more of your flows.

    Thank you so much for this lesson - my wife chose it, & I was a bit surprised at its demand! 😅 The way you relate distal to proximal is singular with your pedagogy, you often show a very Feldenkrais way of guiding attention. Most excellent!

    Outstanding 1 hr yoga, allot of yoga on youtube is either too easy or far to difficult, this one was just right for me. Was hard enough that I got a really good workout in.

So great you enjoyed the challenge and you found it accessible:-) I don’t tend to offer more advanced sequences.. mostly cause my body doesn’t go there and I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t really need to do the splits etc at my age! Simple movement through our range of motion, mindfulness and breathing with ease seems more sustainable and helpful. Thanks for practicing with me 🙏

    I agree, great class. I wonder, do you have any classes with inversions? I.e headstand or shoulder stand?

      Hi Alysa, thanks for your lovely feedback 🙏 the two 75 minute classes have options to invert (shoulderstand) along with the two restorative classes (legs up the wall). So far, I haven’t included headstand as I worry about people trying it at home without an instructor.
