I have a 161 SLX build. Really love the bike. If you’ve got a p3 or p4 size frame, I recommend getting some high rise bars as the stack doesn’t grow proportionally with reach (this is an issue with all brands). I added 83mm rise bars to my P4 frame and it really transformed the bike.

Yeah, I've heard a few folks say that. I put some pnw bars on that increase the stack height slightly in that feels okay to me, but I will probably experiment with even higher rise ones just to see what it feels like. Which bars did you pick? I know Deity makes some decent high-rise bars...

@@CharlieWentOutside I went with Surly Sunrise bars. They're cheap and have a lot of backsweep. (~15 degrees). Plus I like the BMX vibes with the top brace. 😎

I have 3 years on the 161 now, it really comes alive when you are up to speed and adopt an active and aggressive style. I can also recommend throwing a megneg on the rear shock

I've heard a few folks say that about a megneg. How does it change things?

@@CharlieWentOutside Smallbump sensitivity increases and it gives better midstroke support

I don’t know what you ran on the Druid and if you noticed it, but that Assegai in front also adds to this confidence inspired feeling you have 👍🏻
    Great video btw 😊

I have an Assegai on the front of the Druid too. And probably will for every bike I ever own, lol... I REALLY don't like washing out the front wheel 🤣

most enduro race bikes really benefit from an aggressive and fast riding style since the bikes are designed for racers
