For the c9 video, the mercy was the one contesting, not rein. The mercy flew off the payload, and rein was stuck in the animation so he couldn’t move, so it was technically the mercy’s fault that they lost that.
This may be true, but there's also a relatively common bug that causes the payload to move anyways for a second or two even when you're standing on it, I had it happen in 3 consecutive games, 2 of which I was standing on top of the payload. Like, literally feet on the cart, stomping on the hood of the car in Hollywood.
pretty sure i saw someone else explain that one and the game was already over before he got on point. they extended the end of game animation so youd think you had a couple moments to keep fighting even tho youd already lost. the mercy might have lost them the game by backing off tho lol
Here's the difference, if you get anti naded, you can use your cooldowns to survive to it wears off. But with a res, you waste cooldowns on stopping the res and if you are unsuccessful you have to deal with who over hot ressed with no way of defending yourself@@SecureBirch410

The contesting bit at 7:40 happens to me ALL THE TIME. I had it happen 3 games in a row in quick play, 2 of these were where I was standing literally ON THE PAYLOAD.
Yeah, Emongg went over it and what happens is the round already ended, but it keeps going for another couple seconds making you think you reached the payload but the round had actually already ended before you got there.

I assume it's a bit deeper of a big sometimesz which isn't surprising, sometimes game engines do weird stuff.

In WoW terms, Brig's Inspire is an AoE burst HoT effect. It's not an aura, it's a HoT that is applied to everyone in a radius every time she does damage.
4:40 I think they should make tanks have really good survivability, not really good sustain. Thats the problem with Mauga and Roadhog is they aren't actually survivable they just have a lot of sustain.

The problem is that survivability does not take skill, that's an orisa sat still with fortify taking 0 damage while her supports pump her, if you give tanks huge health pools instead of sustain they are reliant on their supports instead of their own ability to stay alive

Take World of Warcraft as an example, there tanks have to balance self sustain, defensive abilities, etc But it takes huge amount of skill to play properly.
The contest is definitely smaller! In OW 1 some of my favorite spots to contest in no longer work because you’re not close enough anymore. Like, Junkrat lying in the bush strat in Dorado
7:15 could be wrong but there was a bug that if the payload was 0.01m away for checkpoint and someone steps off and steps back on the same tick it regresses it can go past the checkpoint which can break the game so this could be a fail safe but enemies were still on it and it was contested so it might not be but that is my guess

I think what adds to the confusion of Brig’s Inspire is that there’s no visibility applied to those affected by it. As opposed to someone like Zen Orb or Ana Nade who have UI made for those abilities. I swear, once they finally,y get around to it, only then would lower ranks understand her strength.

About contesting the payload, I'm experiencing 2 problems. First the radius was indeed reduced compared to OW1. But second, there is some kind of latency between the moment you touch and the moment it registers as contesting. So many times I touch it and a fraction of second AFTER the counter gets to 0 and we lose...
I left this as a hot take on one of KarQ's videos, but I don't think tanks should overpowered raid bosses. They should, however, be resistant to ALL cc. Tanks already have a faster sleep recovery and boop resistance, just make it a blanket cc resistance. Sleeping and stunning a tank would still have value(stopping Rein charge, Sig ult, Doom block, ect.), but make it more appealing to cc non tanks. I just feel that playing tank would feel better if their general vibe was "I've been stunned? OH NO! Anyway..."
This isn't a bad idea at all. Giga tanks with impossible health pools would be boring. With the DPS passive and only 1 tank, it would be "shoot the tank" simulator every game. CC immunity would be dope though

Some heroes might have to forgo being perfectly balanced if the majority of players across all roles are going to have fun. I think the team should balance in that direction
Yeah they shrunk the contest area on all points, its barely noticable on capture points but payloads and push bots have the same radius which makes push bots feel huge while payloads are non existent. Rein in that clip had his face pressed against the payload but still wasn't the one contesting.

And yes i can confirm the payload contest size has 100% decreased because i remember in ow1 there were spots i would contest the cart that dont work anymore in ow1, i was usually the payload princess doomfist player so i knew the cart contest hitbox very well and they are 100% smaller

To the brig inspire not being noticed, well, the devs just introduced the little down arrow to show when you have the DPS passive applied, why not have the up arrow show when you're being healed by aoe heals? Ana nade gets the up arrow, but the entire health bar changes color so that's pointless.
I do not know if Flats know or read this, But some deployables could invoke brig's passive, Wrecking ball's minefield and obviously bob, Some things like torb turret, Sym turrets and junkrats trap doesn't work And to say, Release of Overwatch 2 patchnotes they mentioned they made the radis of payload smaller (Sorry if spelling is weird, English not my first language)

They should give tank an actual tank passive like dmg reduction or something. Just increasing their health constantly is gonna put more strain on healers. If they decrease hp on some tanks and give dmg reduction I feel like it could work very well
Anti nade just needs to cut healing by 50%. Maybe make it last a bit longer or decrease the cooldown to compensate. Tweaking the damage, cooldown or duration by itself won't affect the strength of the debuff. Blizzard was only changing the frequency of anti nade but not the strength of it.
I wonder if the payload moving was caused by both the distances being 113.44 meters and the game bugging out because of that. I could swear I've seen similar cases.

Res is strong simply by existing. People immediately have to remember, "Keep an eye on the Mercy, they may go for a Res."

haven't heard him say that on ball, doom or any other high skill character. He usually uses the "I can teach X do Y" when it comes to counterswapping the enemy tank.

I think the Ana made girl was making the same (accurate) point. Nade wasn’t busted, the fully cranked hot water healing was busted. Healing needed to be nerfed. Probably still does.
Both damaged and heals need huge nerfs, bu i think yhe more health in this season somehow worked
