Orisa's basis, the OR-14, had the extra legs to disperse its two-ton weight better and to stop the near-unstoppable rocket charges from Germany's crusader knights, not to increase its speed.
When you're talking about turning your brain off and hitting buttons, Zarya has that exact same problem. The amount of times I've won games by just timing my bubbles and getting 100% charge and then turning off my brain to delete the enemy team is insane
I recently played a game as Zarya, we win because I used my ult and trapped two supports in it, one of them was a life weaver and he pulled his hog away from cart to save them, but we were on overtime so we won lol

The blink decoy make me think of forgotten abilities to add. Decoy, prox mines, laser mine, smoke screen (see through for allies), Bee like homing projectile, poison cloud martyrdom, Jump pad (able to orient), Mirror wall to reflect projectiles, invis wall (think harry potter blanket)(projectiles not stopped), ricochet saw blades/glaive, pole-arm or sword based melee character, a swap places ability, or like a recall ammo reload (imagine cassidy but upon reload, his bullets travel returning to him causing damage. Junkerqueen knife bullets minus bleed)(usefull for poor aim, or setting traps)
The decoy is just the tank player, proxy mines exist on ball, venom mine is kinda similar to a laser mine, cass nade is a homing projectile, a poison martyrdom would probably be too similar to junks one, the rest are cool tho.
I hate how hard some characters can counter, it’s so annoying when you’re popping off on a hero so a couple just swap and negate you. Like ok sorry for having some fun.

I feel like it's just catering to noobs. Ever since OW2 went F2P the only way they'll maintain a casual playerbase who will invest themselves enough to buy their microtransactions and battle passes is by making sure low skill players can just swap to a character whose abilities shut down a more experienced player who is good with their hero. It's awful, but that's what they have to do because if you kept getting curb stomped by more experienced players with no form of brain-dead retaliation then those new players probably wouldn't even touch the game.
I remember i was sweating touching point on and off and i noticed neither of my dps even TOUCHED at all. They were just watching me touch like…why r u standing so far away😭 me and tank r stressing and yall r chilling
As a DPS player, I've ALWAYS been the one to touch point, and it's always been a frustrating experience, because 9/10 times, 4 people on the enemy team then rush point, while my team struggles in a 4v1 against a support player.
6v6 isn't going to solve every problem, but you're kidding yourself if you think it wouldn't solve A LOT. Also bear in mind Flats is tight with Blizzard, which is a good thing because he has some idea of what the playerbase needs and can communicate that with them as well as bring his insight and commentary to future updates for the players, but as a consequence of maintaining that relationship he can't be too vociferous about bringing back 6v6 since Blizzard is running its head into the wall over 5v5 and refuses to even talk about 6v6 returning, so I wouldn't take too much of what he says against 6v6 to heart because he knows it's a touchy subject for Blizzard that they don't want to hear.
I find it so silly that Orisa is a centaur a litteral half horse. she has a spear ... and instead of a speedy mobile charging and impaling tank. she is the most static one in the game. she is outsped by a guy with two machineguns and two hearts pumping and an 70yo space marine with a litteral wall in his pocket.
The game would be fine without the 3 horseman of the apocalypse being in every game. Other tanks have soft counter that you can play around with relative ease compared to Mauga hog and orisa. Not a 5v5 thing, entirely a balance thing.
In my opinion the only way to "fix" the endless counterswapping is to make a new game mode called "No-Swap" or something. Basically like Paladins how you can't change your hero once you've locked in. I would honestly play that mode 24/7 over role queue where people think they're playing Pokémon and they HAVE to send out a grass type to your water type
Me watching as my teammate switches to sombra immediately after we lose the first fight (he doesn't know how to play sombra) also yeah i'd play that mode in a heartbeat
Problem is that it will be on your tank to take the best tank cause if your tank picks Dva and theirs picks Zarya, it’s done. In Paladins, the item and load-out system is what makes countering impossible cause if their character is CC centric? Just buy resilience, they have deployable abilities, buy the item, too much cooldown? Item and loadout.
@@TheLastEgg08 i mean dva can also just ignore the zarya and go for the backline, tons of dva players i've seen just ignore the zarya altogether, also, if your tank has a poor matchup the DPS and support can also cover the matchups, tanks aren't the only ones that can control the matchups especially when characters like sombra, Ana and kiriko exist.

Also imagine you have a Mauga on your team, they have an Orisa and an Ana but no Kiriko on your team, you’re just done for. OW is still based on a counter system, Paladins isn’t because of the depth it has with the load-out system and items shop.

Also yeah, i'm a support main, if my tank goes mauga i go kiri to cover his problem points, if the team doesn't want to help shore up the teams weaknesses that is their fault and i did my part already trying to contribute to the team best i can.

Armor changes - you're better against low damage rapid fire characters like tracer and from what I understand weaker to larger single sources of damage like pharah rockets or widow shots
Thats because even tho the armor change is better against pellets hero like Tracer and Reaper, it became worst against normal heroes. Before the patch, every single damage was reduced by armor, reduced by less yes, but still everything.
Part of the reason I prefer Paladins is that there is much less of an emphasis on counter-picking, which makes sense since you can only change character once the match starts, and you only get to see who the other team have in ranked.
The one thing I wish they did in overwatch (which I know it wont happen), is for them to make it so you cant switch heroes mid match, and then balance the characters around that fact
If you mean while alive, then definitely not. Imagine you’re playing sigma, then quickly swap to DVA to cancel Illari Ult or Flux. If you mean while dead… that exists.
i wish the fakeout blinks didn't get patched out. i actually did kinda used this tech to fuck with people. and it WORKS EVERY TIME especially in a 1v1 situation you can poke hide for a min then blink off the wall to make them turn the corner and have their back to you. it was funny to see.

I think a fairly decent way to potentially stop hard counter swapping but still allow people to change heroes is to put a timer on swapping heroes. Something like every 30 seconds, every minute? There will be a sweet spot but idk I feel like being able to swap at any time is just annoying because you can never have fun as the heroes you want to play
Replace orisa’s fortify with her bongo drum which increases her damage done by 15% with a 10% damage reduction to just herself for 10 seconds but cooldown for 25 seconds and range of like 15 meters which she can still engage with but can be destroyed
So in flat's eyes, one rein skin that looks good for his weapon (in his opinion) makes it worthwhile as a competitive reward you unlock with specific currency on top of a skin you have to purchase?
i have a idea for a possible orisa rework, instead of having fortify, when you press shift orisa bends over and anyone one the team can ride her like a horse, when carrying someone you have your movement increased
For orisa why does she have 2 spears when it doesnt show that she is equipped with 2 like junk mines, rein fire strike. If she uses spear or javelin spin using 1 of the 2 they borh need to go to cooldown. I just find that odd with orisa.
Give Orisa a gallop like charge that knocks people out of the way and gives her over health for each person hit with the charge and allow her to use javelin spin while charging, instead of her fortify

good way to fix counter swapping, dont let the charcters be shown on scoreboard. Makes it to whre they have to lose so muc time going from spawn with new swap making them lose. make sa down side to swapping and forces you to try first
Bill Maher has this Big Bang Theory sort of comedy. People dont really laugh or cheer because its funny. They do because they got fed something that feels smart so they feel smart and good.
Orisa is boring and frustrating to play against because her javelin has long range, and can cancel a LOT of ultimates if used on them. You can say "just ult when she doesn't have it. But sometimes its either not an option, or players (especially metal ranks) will either not be able to track the CD, or will just not think about it and become frustrated when their ult is cancelled by 7 second ability. Also the spin should be removed for a shield and fortify should either make you even slower or not as much DR. Spin sucks.
So with weapon skins what if they added skins for hitting a specific rank (obviously gold would have to be changed to something else) but like if your play you get a plat skin diamond you get diamond and all previous skins etc
Give orisa her old gun back with bigger/more damage bullets in close range absolutely awful damage at range and replace fortify with like a stamped ability! Moves fasters, resets overheat on weapon and does damage to players in front of her👏
dps players think there are only 2 players on the team who matter and the rest are just there to back them up the truth is there is only 1 player who matters and that is the tank
I find hog way more annoying, at least against orisa you can play space and time your engagement. Againsy hog you peak to kill him and your either hooked and instakilled or heals and mitigates almost all damage on a 2 SECOND COOL DOWN!!! Literally all you can do is ignore him kill the supports and hope you dont get randomly hooked
Give me back OW1 orisa. Nerf the fvck out of fortify and reduce damage amp from bongo, maybe reduce halt to 1 enemy per use and we’re good. She worked better as a poke tank that could actually die when you get on top of her, versus a brawl tank that can out brawl actual brawl tanks

Here's a simple Orisa rework: 1) Add damage falloff again to pimary 2) Replace Javelin Spin with Shield from OW1 3) Remove Fortify as base kit 4) Replace current ultimate with Supercharger, but make apply Fortifiy instead OPTIONAL BONUSES, though complicated: -Increase heat gauge to shoot more -Rather than overheat and cooldown period, have it where primary now slows when heating up -To reset heat gauge, throw javelin, and depending how high the gauge was determines the summoning speed, damage, and CC duration
I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but the products page is very oppressive, I find myself needing to close it down several times in the first minute of this video practically making it unwatchable. Please fix this for future content if that's something you can control.

I don't think zarya is broken. it's just that zarya can easily exploit bad team communications

Orisa is boring and frustrating to play against because her javelin has long range, and can cancel a LOT of ultimates if used on them. You can say "just ult when she doesn't have it. But sometimes its either not an option, or players (especially metal ranks) will either not be able to track the CD, or will just not think about it and become frustrated when their ult is cancelled by 7 second ability. Also the spin should be removed for a shield and fortify should either make you even slower or not as much DR. Spin sucks.

So with weapon skins what if they added skins for hitting a specific rank (obviously gold would have to be changed to something else) but like if your play you get a plat skin diamond you get diamond and all previous skins etc

Orisa on release WAS more fun than current Orisa. I'm not saying bring the pull orb back, I'm just saying it WAS the only way to get me to play tank.
Give orisa her old gun back with bigger/more damage bullets in close range absolutely awful damage at range and replace fortify with like a stamped ability! Moves fasters, resets overheat on weapon and does damage to players in front of her👏

I find hog way more annoying, at least against orisa you can play space and time your engagement. Againsy hog you peak to kill him and your either hooked and instakilled or heals and mitigates almost all damage on a 2 SECOND COOL DOWN!!! Literally all you can do is ignore him kill the supports and hope you dont get randomly hooked
Give me back OW1 orisa. Nerf the fvck out of fortify and reduce damage amp from bongo, maybe reduce halt to 1 enemy per use and we’re good.
She worked better as a poke tank that could actually die when you get on top of her, versus a brawl tank that can out brawl actual brawl tanks

Is there a difference between him saying something is "going hard" vs..."it's fire"? Sounds the same with the context. The jade skin mixed with another skin is "fire". Or it's "goes so hard".
Here's a simple Orisa rework:
1) Add damage falloff again to pimary
2) Replace Javelin Spin with Shield from OW1
3) Remove Fortify as base kit
4) Replace current ultimate with Supercharger, but make apply Fortifiy instead
OPTIONAL BONUSES, though complicated:
-Increase heat gauge to shoot more
-Rather than overheat and cooldown period, have it where primary now slows when heating up
-To reset heat gauge, throw javelin, and depending how high the gauge was determines the summoning speed, damage, and CC duration

coldest hot take, its the least effective dps' job to be payload princess (its usually me), the tank, good dps, and both supports should be pushing for space
I find it situational, depending on which hero each role is, and how they’re playing together. 9/10 times it’s usually one support on cart.
i think there are 2 better rein skins, personally I like the 2020 all-star skin with jade and the paragon with hard light and gold.
