My father is 71, he still has a sex drive, his last child is from when he was 64 years old, he constantly argues with his spouse who is 27 years younger as he wants to have more frequent sex. He hasn't been smoking for 8 years otherwise he has smoked heavily since his teens, he is an alcoholic, drinks alot every night. He eats lots and lots of nuts, pumpkin seeds, fruits(more than half a kg daily, apple, pear, plum, melon usually), he eats alot of artichokes, meat and white cheese, and whole wheat bread. He is retired and still works in a physically demanding job. He does not suffer from Ed, if he thought he had circulatory problems while he was smoking he would simply give a break to smoking for a week or two, regulate his diet further, and had morning running. After quitting smoking, he stopped exercising all together (as his job already makes him move alot physically). 52 I stay fit. Eat healthy. No tobacco. I do love my drinks though . Blood pressure is good . I'm energetic. I do a few exercises every day . Squats , pushups, jumping Jack's, and some pull ups . Plus I'm just an active person. Morning wood most days . High sex drive . And works most of the time . A little cialis now and again seems to bolster the stiffness.
I pledge to exercise at least 3 times a week! Hopefully, it along with some moderate weight loss will provide many benefits including occasional ED issues.
Not all aerobic exercises help equally in erectile dysfunction. Walking, though really great for so many health issues and one must really walk every day, does do little in matters of erectile dysfunction or does not do sufficient help. Dynamic exercises that bring lots of blood into the thigh, belly, buttock or pelvic area, in reality, help very much in erectile dysfunction. If a man indulges in slightly sexually seductive thoughts, his penis now becomes rock hard and stays that way for a prolonged time. Intercourse becomes real pleasure now. For example, if one does push up with the strength of waste (not with the strength of hands) or one does squats with legs slightly distanced (I just catch hold of one horizontal iron bar of my window and do these easiest squats), tremendous improvements will be noticed in a month. Again, static exercises (even the so hyped static kegel exercises) are bullshit. There are many versions of these exercises (just type "ED exercises" in the UA-cam search box). Pick up exercises that have motion and do them with moderate repetition.
Yea most times it's psychological. Especially if your wife gains weight, treats sex like a chore or is just a nagging and annoying bitch lol. When you don't feel desired by your partner, that'll definitely affect sex drive and erection.

Fitness and making sure you force yourself to get solid erections for a decent amount of time every day no matter what. You don't use it you lose it. And WATER! Hydrate A LOT. Watermelon is wild for erections as well. Vitamin B supplements, L Arginine.
This is dumb. It has *zero* to do with exercise. Exercise helps but the problem with ED is the amount of fat you have in your body. Exercise helps get rid of that fat, but the main cause is fat. The more fat you have the harder it is to pump blood around your body, the harder it is for your lungs to exchange CO2 for O2 in your lungs. If you have poor blood circulation, guess what else will be poor trying to get up??? I'm 58 years old. I'm around 5% body fat now. And yes, I got that way by riding a bicycle 32 miles a day, every day, for the last 5 1/2 years. I have problems getting rid of it rather than problems trying to have one. And I have problems trying to get rid of it 2 to 3 times a week.
I'm a long-distance cyclist in my 50s. I regularly have morning wood and also keep my weight in check by minimizing the amount of intact garbage. Remember that fat is full of estrogen.
I’m 68 and have been plagued by ED for about 5 years. My doctor tells me that my meds for cholesterol, diabetes, and hypertension - coupled with those conditions themselves - is a perfect storm for ED. What is a patient supposed to do with that information ? “Find a new hobby ?” My libido has never been higher. Viagra works, but the side effects… headache (sometimes into the following day), blurred vision sometimes, and even occasionally some nausea, make it less than an ideal solution. One positive thing about it, is that along with the headache, the ease of getting an erection continues into the following day, albeit with less firmness.
@@satysunk My doctor switched me to Cialis 20mg daily, and it completely solved the issues. I can get hard anywhere any time, and I have experienced no side effects whatsoever. If anything I feel better, and younger. Waking up with morning wood had been a thing of the past, now it happens all the time. Cialis was a life-saver for me.
Thank you for the video, about 10 years ago I was in an accident and I weighed 265 lbs. after that I got serious about getting myself back into shape, so I went on a diet about 6 years ago and got down to 185. My wife and I walk 3 miles everyday and been doing so since 2019. I’ve had ED since before the accident and have to say there hasn’t been that much improvement, I’m 66 now. What else can I do?
Mabye testosterone replacement therapy along with a prescription of cialis and perhaps something like a low dose Yohimbine immediately before sex . Or just wait and see if you need another product before sex. Testosterone and cialis may be enough. I know testosterone deficiency kept mine from my ever getting hard enough to penetrate. I was getting morning woood again a month into testosterone treatment. I think I screwed myself up abusing drugs and living the street life so my hormones were all out of wack. I’m so sorry to hear about your troubles I really feel for you it is a pain only another man can understand who has been through the same thing. I remember before my girlfriend died she would try to help me out and nothing worked. She would sometimes express how she wishes I could just grab her and take her when I come home from work but I felt such low confidence I never did . I knew it wouldn’t work anyways. I don’t know why it took me so long to look into low testosterone. Because even with loading up on viagra I still never had that drive to just want to spread my seed and that feeling where I just had to have her right away.
No doubt, everyone is different genetically even if they’re in good health. As a man in my mid-50s and in great shape, keeping an erection is not so easy. 50mg Of Viagra works beautifully with no side effects other than a headache which is resolved by taking an ibuprofen with the Viagra… Just speaking for myself.

I’m 74 and have been working out vigorously for 45 years! My resting heart rate is 43, blood pressure is 107/68, oxygen 99-100%. I have no symptoms of cardiovascular disease or any other disease. I workout 3-4 a day but I’m not able to achieve an erection. I have been cycling for 45 years and had no issues until the last few years. What is going on?
I read that the bike seat might cause erectile dysfunction but do some research about that. Switching to a bike seat that eases the pressure on your perineum might help, according to what I read.
I'm 70 yrs old, exercise with isometrics 3 - 4 times a week for 15 - 20 minutes... I need to pee more often which I'm told is normal for my age, nocturnal, which is once a night, sometimes none... I still have very hard morning woods which makes me smile!! ... Exercise does work, and so does a diet rich in protein and fats, preferably ketogenic, very low carb, no sugars... Anyone out there in doubt?... Give it a crack for a few months, you will be amazed at the results!
For many years I would exercise almost daily for more than 50 years. Then, in the past few years the pain set in. Had x-rays and MRIs found problems that aren't that easy to work around. Arthritis in both knees and lower back. slight scoliosis and some of the disks between the vertebrae have been crushed. When I walk for any length of time the pain in my knees can be excruciating even with support and my lower back becomes very uncomfortable. I surely miss my daily exercise routine. So, it all becomes difficult. I used to walk the mile and a half to do my workout and a mile and a half back. Not anymore. I've had hyaluronic acid shots in my knees. So far not much has happened. Also had ablation on my lower back some months back. It seemed to help for a while. I'm waiting for the okay for the next ablation. Maybe this will get me back on track. All this isn't helpful for keeping from ED.

Thank you doctor! Great video! I recently became sexually active (after about a 13-year break) and realized I had/have a problem with ED.. While I walk a lot, and do some weight exercise, only help was a pill. Not sure if I can ever naturally improve..
The best and most effective way to improve is to have a Whole food Plant Based diet. The reason you do not get sufficient blood flow is because of the fat which clogs your arteries. ED is the canary in the coal mine for heart disease. The arteries in the penis are very narrow and when they get clogged, so are your heart arteries. Get rid of the fat in your diet by going Plant Based. You will lose weight, decrease inflammation and viola, your erections will come back like magic. Health is not from a pill, it is a life style choice! If for no other reason that reclaiming your manhood, go plant based today!
Humans are scientifically proven omnivores. That means we are designed to eat both meat and plants. The best diet is more like 70-90% plant based, plus lean meat. Think hunter gatherer, we can get plant food all the time, but meat has to be hunted down and killed which is harder than walking up to a plant. So eating meat is supposed to be infrequently, but not rarely. Meat is super delicious though so its a bummer.
@@riverpirate1022 I will not debate your statement but offer an alternative view point. But consider how animal products are produced, cruelty to animals, damage to the environment. Plus, today there are amazing alternatives such as plant milks, cheeses, ice cream even meats. You can be vegan and even have your meat. However, if you want to go all in and clear up health issues, you cannot get clean by taking a bath and using coal for soap. My suggestion is going all in!! Peace my friend!

I wish I could talk about it but it's just in my head and something to just leave in the past :/
If you get involuntarily hard ones during REM sleep, it's probably in your head. If you don't get hard ones while sleeping, it's likely your health, usually a combination of poor diet or lack of exercise.
@@artmeditationvista1526 I'm confused what the diffrence between REM sleep and sleep is now. Also what if it's both because as a child growing up for many years i'd only ever eat breakfast and lunch. No dinner at all :( Money issues. Also I deal with a lot of stress on the daily. Even as we speak due to homework and feeling exhausted but also alone. I think it's just me having so many issues at once that I have ED 😥
Funny, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Although what he previously suggested was pretty good, it was a real pain to follow... I just go'ogled the latest in Mario's Thunderous Erections, it's so much easier and potent now!
How did they measure the improvement in the erection? Girth? Duration of max girth? What were the stimulants used that caused the erections in the first place? Were the same stimulants used prior to measurements? Was masterbation abstained prior to these measurements? All of these factors can affect erections right?
07:12 How can exorcise reduce stress? I didn’t know that evil spirits were the cause of ED!!! So, bringing a priest into the house should help, right??

52 I stay fit. Eat healthy. No tobacco. I do love my drinks though . Blood pressure is good . I'm energetic. I do a few exercises every day . Squats , pushups, jumping Jack's, and some pull ups . Plus I'm just an active person. Morning wood most days . High sex drive . And works most of the time . A little cialis now and again seems to bolster the stiffness.
I pledge to exercise at least 3 times a week! Hopefully, it along with some moderate weight loss will provide many benefits including occasional ED issues.
Any pro tips bro
Stoner Boners work!
Train your legs. Lunges (preferably Bulgarian ones) and heavy hip ADDuctions (not ABductions). Adductions have had amazing results for me!
You are so awesome Doctor, love to be your client. Thank you for this channel, it helps millions. You are extremely beautiful as well.
This basically depends on the partner. Having x with the same person for decades will 'turn you down' no matter what you do to avoid it.
Yea most times it's psychological. Especially if your wife gains weight, treats sex like a chore or is just a nagging and annoying bitch lol. When you don't feel desired by your partner, that'll definitely affect sex drive and erection.
This is so true. I would imagine that if you were able to pound a different woman all the time or at least half of the time you’d never have ED.
@@ronburgandy3339 but would increase your chances of getting a STI. Things are hotter with my husband of 41 years than when we were young.

Just use toilets where you have to squat. Believe me you will notice the difference after sometime.
My ED must be caused mainly by stress and anxiety. I lost about 45 pounds since thanksgiving and still couldn’t keep an erection. 😬
Well I am just 29 and already observing ED, Yes I watched a lot of Porn and Masturbated a lot I think this is the reason why I have this problem. Yesterday I was with my Girlfriend and I couldn't last longer, also I didn't have the Normal Erection it was below average.
And I am also overweight 10KGs, to combat this problem I have started workout for 6 days a week. I am also starting to Eat Healthy Food and trying to get a good sleep. Let's hope for the best... I am very ashamed about past. Porn is destroying lives. 😣
eat well. stay hydrated. get 7-8 of sleep. get off the screens. i'm in my 40s have a sex drive of someone in their early 20s. just lifestyle baby. lifestyle. i walk when playing golf. i walk everywhere. bodyweight exercises. make this salad w lean meat and a little bread. cucumber / french parsley / roma tomato / red bell pepper / green onions ( organic if you can ) - dice em up real good - 2:1 redwine vinegar to virgin olive oil and salt to taste. i eat this daily along w fish / lean meat. you get leaned up - and fueled up and hydrated up your little friend downstairs gonna be like CONCRETE - its alllllllllllll ABOUT GOOD CIRCULATION YO. good for the brain good for "your guy" down there below the belt.
Date girls in their 20s. That’ll fix your ED
Every since I caught Covid a second time I've gotten ED when I get very sick..... please respond with advice Dr. Malik, I'm only in my 30s and I'm in very good shape, I was a sprinter and still have most of my athletic health. This is incredibly embarrassing especially because I want to have kids.
Giving up porn will make the biggest positive change
That maybe a hard habit to break

How much change clinically is 2 points? Since we don’t see the measuring instrument, we don’t know. Thanks RCM (psychologist)
Yes, that was my question too. Is it percentage points? or perhaps points on a scale of one-to-ten?

Eat red meat. I started carnivore recently and I get them very easily.
My ED is fixed when I started swimming two km three days in a week.

@@saranyuvi5539 Do water diet for seven days and put your body on autophagy mode. This will repair your body. Go for no carb, high protien and veggie diet and limit carb intake once or twice in a week. Do squat and lift weights and swim. If you have anxiety issues do transdential meditation. And limit food intake within five hour window in a day, the rest of the time do fasting. All of the above will fix your body and increase longevity.
I'm 63 and have sex everyday, and take no medications of any kind! I've eaten a whole food plant based (vegan) diet for nearly 20 years! I eat beans or lentils every day to get 15% protein and eat lots of flax seeds for omega 3 and take B12 supplements. I also do moderate exercise daily for about 80 minutes. It's easy to maintain excellent health if you eat right and exercise.

I’m so happy I have an active lifestyle. And I’ve improved in the cardio area.
I also take heart health related vitamins like coq10. In addition, I also cut out sugar.
MOST IMPORTANTLY STOP WATCHING PORN. Dopamine depletion is a real thing.
Great stuff Dr. I don't have this problem yet, but it makes sense to keep the heart and it's systems in top health, also it gives such positive feelings, well worth the effort.
Who else had no idea that there was an International Index of Erectile Function? Multinational Boner Score. They could have come up with something with a catchy acronym. Sad.
I always seemed to noticed, after rigorous exercise, I'm good to go. Now I know why. Thanks.
Cool but im single so no need. Its more of nuisance. Rather just lop it off.
cant say i disagree with you on that :/
I’m 68 and have been plagued by ED for about 5 years.
What dosage of viagra do you take?
@@satysunk My doctor switched me to Cialis 20mg daily, and it completely solved the issues. I can get hard anywhere any time, and I have experienced no side effects whatsoever. If anything I feel better, and younger. Waking up with morning wood had been a thing of the past, now it happens all the time. Cialis was a life-saver for me.
I love the facts about oxidative stress!
L-Arginine, 3150mg, L-Citrulline 6000mg, Tongkat Ali Complex 1020mg, & Jelq. Use it or lose it.

What is Jelg?
Jelq or jelquing is a penile exercise. Look it up for examples.
I do agree it does help.
This definitely works I combine Arginine with citrulline and take zinc and magnesium helps a lot to keep that thing ground pounding lol 👊

Lift heavy things.
Walking is the bare minimum for men. You need to get in the gym and lift heavy stuff. Exercising with a woman is not going to improve a man's body.
@Rovingdog628 Thank you! Great advice.
I walk at least 10 miles a day, every day. It does nothing for ED.
To me this seems like exercise is so important to our health - sexual health included.
Try micro doses of Tadalafil, 5mg every night for a month. No headaches.
You are a wonderful lady Dr. RENA
Mine have improved since watching Dr. Malik.
I don’t have time to work out . I work 12+ hours a day. I’m 47. When it comes time to do the deed. I’m usually tired. It sucks. I need to do something to help

Great. Nothing i didn't already know. I already do 90 to 120 minutes at 70% max HR, 3 to 5 times a week. Still having issues. You mentioned inflammation. I have severe inflammation due to horrible allergies. Was already thinking this might be a bit part of the problem...
That you are 74.
Investigate duo shock therapy
I’ve also heard that the bike seat can be a problem.
7:12 "How can exorcise reduce stress" .. hmm well, not having a demon inside you probably makes things a little less stressful?
@Rovingdog628 Exactly. everyone is different. Some are active into their 80s and others like me end in the late 50's or early 60's. It's life.
You can work upper body from a prone position and get an aerobic workout. Think of old kung-fu movies where you have to work with what you got.

Please do a video on PSSD. I have suffered from the devastating side effects of Luvox (an SSRI) for 27 yrs and counting, from chronic ED/SD to emotional blunting, loss of drive/motivation, severe anxiety, loss of libido, the list goes on and on. No one seems to have any treatment protocols available as the medical community has only recently recognized the horrific, devastating and permanent effects of these drugs. There are likely millions of people suffering in silence, with no answers as to why these drugs do such damage...

Adult videos don't cause ed. They likely reduce it, though stopping for a day or two before sex can increase interest.
@@artmeditationvista1526you are sadly mistaken. Many young men have ED and get limp soon as a condom goes on mainly due to their porn addiction. It’s okay in small doses but when addicted to porn watching it daily it really messes you up.

I'm 75 and my normal gym BP is 150-160. I have pushed it to as high as 192 but that was an exceptional workout. During the summer, I bike 20mi/day, 3kmi/summer. During the winter I do weights, elliptical, stationary bike, and dreadmill. IMHO, my problem is maintaining the erection and largely I think that is mental, not physical.

I did complete a Masters Degre in Reproductive Science years ago. We had a urologist lecture on ED, he said that if you are getting erections at night (and they did have a device that could measure) then any ED issues require a psychologist (he did joke and say or a new partner)
You probably have high blood pressure, so maybe some artherosclerosis? Great blood flow is down around 110/70 resting. Above that and your blood flow is impaired...a certainty if you're a carnist.Maybe as B12 deficiency, maybe inadequate nitrate consumption, vitamin D, etc. It's easy to get protein deficient if vegan. I have to eat 4 cups of beans a day to make my protein/nitrogen needs.
I think we would need to know what his resting BP is though as it will be elevated in a gym workout.. I'm vegan too, what beans do you prefer for protein and have you found a bean combination that provides all the essential amino acids ?@@artmeditationvista1526
@@artmeditationvista1526 Actually, I have very low BP. The blood bank will no longer let me give blood because my BP is below their threshold. Sometimes it's 80/45.

I may not be doing much else right, but I walk pretty regularly. My health failed eight years ago, and I'll never really get back. I just try to do a few things to slow my decline.
Thank you doctor! Great video! I recently became sexually active (after about a 13-year break) and realized I had/have a problem with ED.. While I walk a lot, and do some weight exercise, only help was a pill. Not sure if I can ever naturally improve..
I don't see the link for the VO2 Max calculator. Am I missing something? Thanks.
I do all kinds of exercise and have been doing it for the last three years. I wonder if mine is not neurological?
Without great nutrition, exercise will only help so much. It takes both for most people, especially over 50.
I have my last meal before 6pm, and then immediately go for a walk for 45mins, and now i know its also good for erections 😂

I find walking isn’t even much of an excersise
