What Motorcycle Armour is Best?

- The best motorcycle armor is the one you'll actually wear. Plastics and viscoelastic materials are great, but foam and silicone will be a better choice for some. How will you stay safe?

Nice presentation. This kid has potential, could become big someday.

😂
I guess he's a fortnite streamer or something now ? But I doubt he ever became a huge motorcycle channel that I always watch
@@jeipin3401 Not sure. Some even say he was the king of seven kingdoms for a while.
And I thought he looked young on Fortnine
Cause he is
He looks like 16 there 😂
@@grillsimon454816? About 12!
*in deep ominous voice*
“I come in peace I am from the future don’t be alarmed one day you will become the most reliable and trustworthy source for motorcycle content but remember Ryan with great power comes greatness”
well done man you can tell compared to this video you've gotten a lot more comfortable in front of the camera with your last 2 years worth of videos.keep kickin them out.
Your presentation has come a long way. Great job keep work FortNine
Thanks for making these videos I'm looking at getting my first bike and I'm trying to get a good list of gear together so I am being as safe as I can.
Fort nine? is that you?
That's Ryan..
Been AGES since you last made these straight simple videos.......
Time for some 2021 top/ favourite picks ? Summer cometh.....
I have watched a bunch of these videos regarding armor and decided to go with sponge. It's flexible, absorbs shock well, and it's cost effective.
Nice channel/topic. However I haven't seen any videos on the importance of hip protection. Can you do one on that?
Your channel is so look helpful!
Yo Ryan, you should reupload this on fortnine!!
Yacin Belmihoub how could he do that it's not his company
@@aidanmaans8673 well canadian motorcycle was the old name for fortnine
how many channels do you have? :/
right??? wth i thought he was only on fort nine lol this dude hustling (y)
Canada's Motorcycle is rebranding themselves as Fort Nine, same company, same people, same great service. Apparently the reasoning behind it is when they made the company originally they didn't expect it to be as popular as it has become and they didn't put a lot of effort into the name. Now that they have a following they're rebranding to a name they feel fits them better.
I know right
Fuzzy Wuzzy xx
someone reupload his videos
Bless. Young Ryan, aged about 12. And now he's throwing armour away. He's matured nicely.
I have zero idea why you dont have many subcribers. Its a good video honestly
Hi Ryan,
Would really be interest on your comments on the varies airbag vest that are available for motorcycle riders.
The motorcycle shops in Australia don't stock these items, as apparently they are to expensive. For most riders. What's your thoughts. I will probably purchase a airbag vest, but which one is the best and cheapest
Cheers. Peter
before Fort Nine...there was Canada's Motorcycle, and Rayan F9 was a kidd
Great....thank you.
very informational thanks
Recently I bought a jacket with Knox Microlock Level 2 protector. While just checking the elbow protectors, I tried to flex it the opposite way and it just tore off from the corner. Is this normal? Aren't we supposed to flex it like that?
Was that a alpinestar orbiter 2 piece leather suit you were wearing? If so, could you tell me your opinion on that suit? Thxalot
Anyone else get a serious pain in the tailbone from wearing a tailbone protector pad? I wore pants with one for the first time for a medium length 2 day ride and ouch my tailbone was sore for 2 days afterwards. Funny thing was after that I added padding to my bike seat with gorilla tape and an old life jacket with a hollow groove down the centre for my tailbone and the only seat my ass didn't hurt sitting on was back on my bike.
Ryan, will this D30 protector fit Dainese Tenporale D Dry jacket?
Which way around does it go it jacket , smooth to your back or facing the road ? .
will a klim or icon d30 fit in an alpine star jacket?
Does anyone know what kind of D30 armor will fit a Dainese Raptor jacket?
When Ryan is still young
What is this alpinestar jacket you demonstrate i just start riding nad want good gear it looks it gonna protect good
This guy has a bright future on UA-cam
Forcefield makes the best protectors
what Alpinestars jacket is that?
What a gentle twin brother of the ironic beast from fortnine
how much does viscoelastic weighs?
Subscribed cuz Ryan's on here haha
wow , good info
Wow this guy reminds me a lot of Ryanf9 idk why🤔🤔
What about Spidi and Forcefield?
Man I had no idea about this OG channel vs FortNine
I am looking for motorcyle armor that will work with bullets too.
ValhalaFiveSix d30 is bullet proof
AR500 armor
D30 last one winter then is breaking, it's losing flexibility in cold, check the bikers forums.
Which side is the inside, that is, adjacent to the back?
It's funny looking back at Fortseven videos now
Question, for back foam would an idea for the future make the outside layer a lil flatter but thin aluminum to protect from small size high impacts, like a truck ir car bumper in the center of ur back, thinking of designing one that dispurces impact through the entire protactant and not just on where ya land.....seen back armors get hit and its better then nothing, much better. But we cam still go further
Thin en9ugh to dent, not enough to tear or be puncutred
After a year what are your thoughts on your idea now sir?
I need it
wow you're a much better speaker nowadays
Okay just got to ask you, where did you get your info? Firstly the thermal plastic you showed is to make sure you glide along the asphalt instead of comming to a direct stop and risk breaking something due to friction, secondly the foam you displayed does literally nothing for you in a crash over 10mph so in that sense, it's no protection at all (at least not CE rated protection(see the rev'it seesoft rv protectors for something real)) but other than that your way of presenting is good so check your facts and keep bikers educated and safe :)
I have D30 knee pads in my jeans. But the pocket is too long. I tried using velcro to attach the pad to the velcro inside the pocket. But nothing will stick to the pad. Any ideas how to fix my problem?
@@jeffdean7666 thanks
No kevlar?
Woah! Looks like i went back in time. 😅
Wtf, how old was Ryan when started doing this?
He's the Linus Sabestian of motorcycling world
More like the top gear cast in one peraon
What!! I had to recheck the channel name 'FortNine'.
Ryan was not lying when he said that he is painfully shy ..
did you just tell me that foam has impact protection?! wtf
EXACTLY!!! It's all a scam, remove the EPS in your helmet, it's just foam anyways.
@@benfennell6842 right?
It should be D3O obviously
Omg he looks so young here 😂. Love this guy.
😄 quite a shock after watching a pile of his current videos.
Baby Ryan! Ermergerrrd
Foam to protect your back flying into a hard corner? Fuck that shit
The kid is a natural, very good presentation. Only 7k subs. Maybe he can move on to something better. LOL But This product is in all my Gear.
yeah something like fortnine idk
Nice review
Aw, baby Ryan. I bet he is a fresh newlywed here.
This kid has potential
Fortnines early days
How were you able to obtain a D30 product?
dude looked so young back then , even his voice is deeper now lolol
I think his voice now is a character he plays of an old school western cowboy.
Hey it's Ryan F9
He looks the same to me
Ryan F9? You forgot to introduce yourself.
That pad isn't nearly the best. There's all sorts of stuff out there you didn't cover, like the layered T-Pro armor which also costs way more, but is flexible, absorbs more energy, and isn't destroyed by a single use.
That foam is a place holder and does not have much if any protection. D30 does not give very good protection in cold or hot conditions! Please research for yourself before buying!
I use a bag of marshmallows
Damn ryan looks so young here
that foam doesn't do anything
Edit: the foam he is holding doesn't do anything. That's the foam place-holder Alpinestars puts in their jackets. It's not CE rated, it's thin, worthless and non protective. If you want to represent nonmolecular armor get some real stuff like Alpinestars BioArmor or REV'IT! SeeSoft
when Ryan was so young and innocent.....
I was thinking is there an armor protecting your belly? coz there's this guy who crashed in concrete with jutting steel cables, pierced his tummy punctured his kidney. didn't last 5 minutes. kidney very lethal if punctured
wtf is Ryan doing here?
Ramona Baleanu Canada's Motorcycle = Fort 9
he's canadian duh lol
Why doesn't Ryan criticize stuff on this channel, like he said sooooooo bad things about foam on fortnine, but here he brushes it off as a meh protector.
Day one? 😂
He sounds normal on this channel.
Awwww
Algo comment
omg fortnine wtf
back when be used to pull the punches.
Lmao ..ryan looks stressed out
he was not fat in 2015! Still girl's arms.
u young here u voice more higher
Ryen was so amature than😇😂👍
the impostor is among us (fortnite)
he changed his style with the new company. they are dictating how his presents as well. this is not a good change.
I like the"original Ryan" better.
William Kinnane this is the “original ryan”
You’re silly
Armor *plating?* No, sorry, I don't wear armor plates when riding a motorcycle, I wear armored pads. Plates sound heavy and unpleasant.
What happened to the quality of the video?! Why is this so... soo... white background, miss the production quality of the Fort Nine video... come on~ I can watch any video on protection properties, but I watch Fort Nine videos because they are entertaining and informative ... meh.
Look at the date this was uploaded. Take a breathe. Reread the date this video was uploaded. Reevaluate your life choices
Back when he made good info-packed content instead of fluff pieces with fancy cine.
why use all grams as your weight measurement, it's too much BS math why not say one pound two, ounces and 5 grams. why say 1500 grams then I got to think there's 28 grams in an ounce to 16 ounces in a pound and,😲 just sayi saying?
it is canada...
Blame Canada ,blame Canada! blame Canada!
Quinn Nickerson cause we here use kg not pounds so 1500 grams is 1.5 kg
Incredible is not it :D No matter how much i click to skip this guy, he comes up again and again what ever i search. Talks about Motorcycle Armour, and shows a fuckn foam, and a visicoelastic material :D Does not talk about CE certifications, proper back armors of Dainese and other manufacturers etc. but shows some pillows to rest on while watching tv with your motorcycle jacket.
