I just got the pants today off watching your review weeks ago. I love them, they were exactly what i was looking for. The material doesn’t feel cheap and is sturdy but tight to the body keeping the pads in place. They literally feel like they turn any pants you wear over them into heavy duty motorcycle Jeans, without sacrificing looks or safety. Pads in, i put them on under my skinniest jeans (and they are skinny as fuck) and they didn’t feel unwearable. If your on the fence about em, just buy them. I don’t think you’ll regret it. I’m 5’8 150 if that helps at all and their comfy as shit, pads in.
They seem to be just what I'm looking for, I've been shopping motorcycle protection and this idea is genius. I'm wondering how they are for you now, eight months after your comment. Any difference of opinion?
Thanks for this. I'm aiming to be able to start riding next season and I've been disappointed with available gear. I want to wear mostly white.😆 With this, I can be somewhat protected and just wear white over.
I own a pair of the Skin UH 3 leggings and they are great for city riding. Just enough protection if I were to go down at 45 mph or under. However, freeway speeds might make you think twice about wearing just these as your only protection due to the fact that they are only CE AA Approved. That said, they look great under a pair of skinny jeans and are barely noticeable with the knee armor. Also, if you have tick thighs like me (Olympic Weightlifter) the inner thigh has held up nicely compared to other pants I wear.
I think you may have a small misunderstanding about abrasion ratings. CE AA and AAA are actually pretty protective. Zone 1 abrasion has to withstand 7 seconds of constant abrasion under load for AA and that's plenty high trust me. As someone covered in road rash from slides at 45-60mph, the slide time is really much shorter than you think. I'm a downhill skater so I've slid at 45-50 a fuck ton and my long slide time in a fall was like 3 seconds. Asphalt really slows you down hard. At 60-65mph you'll see closer to 5-6 seconds. So not only will the leggings last u on a slide that fast, you also don't keep ur load constant in a crash. You'll shift ur weight around as u slide and maybe even tumble which will slow u down even faster. I'd say the only garment to not take on the highway is A rated stuff. Zone 1 only last about 4 seconds on those slides so that's just cutting it too close
Even on the highway, you usually don't fall at full speed, you manage to brake for like half a second or a full second, thus the 60-70 mph turns into 45-55, then the AA is more than enough I have to say, I love the new A/AA/AAA rating, it limits the brands bullshit, very good norm I think

Base layer is making sense in cold weather... and it doesn't have to be armoured. I did ride with a surf suit as a base layer...it keeps you warm enough even if it rains and it's cold outside... but keeps you wet as soon as the weather is just a bit cool...
Just on time vídeo. I have been thinking,or rather wishing, for a base layer that actually protect you like this product. Last year’s Gentleman ride had me feeling very vulnerable because I rode an hour to it in my full dress suit and a helmet. If I get these I’ll be less anxious and enjoy the ride more. Thanks.
Knox Urbane Pro Shirt Mk2, cheaper, with more armor included (shoulder, elbows, back), more ventilation, useful pockets (2 are zipped), and AA rating, rather then the simple A rating, for a cheaper price...I'd even say, it has a way better design with belt loops to keep it in place...and you can safely wear it on its own
Amazing product, will be ordering soon😇 Watching your videos since you own r6, thanks for creating such amazing videos Your breath song is in my playlist and it made me to pick a bike, and I related to every line after getting my bike last month 😍
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿 Loved your video & was just in the process of researching which riding jeans to purchase & now I'm thinking of trying these under garmets. Thanks for the great advice
I was just thinking about picking up a pair of base layer pants. I usually forego the motorcycle pants. They are usually big, bulky and generally uncomfortable to ware. I also live in Texas where it's over 37c for p much the whole summer riding season. So even thick denim is a death sentence. Or at least a good way to get heat rash. In the past i've just accepted that if I go down my pants will have the protection of paper. So these look like a good happy medium.
Chaos Causes the main gear I see you wear that I personally really want is your channel ball cap and if ever a T-shirt those you should market and sell and get even more or direct profits. I am serious about the hat, I would pay $22 US definitely!
I'm in SWFL and wear the same full jacket, pants, boots, gloves and helmet over regular clothesyear round. I wanted a track suit but couldn't find it to try on first. I'm looking into this but cost will probably be a bit more than I can afford anymore. Track suit $ came parts upgrades.. Lol
I have been using the Knox Urbane Pro Mk 2 basically the same way more or less. I even wear it under my Klim jacket and ditched the armor it came with cause it never stayed put. I will be checking these as I am starting to lean more towards this type of base layer. Oh I also have Pando Moro jeans I wear quite often.
@@marz2thestarz I have the Klim badlands pro and removed the armor that came with the Klim jacket and kept the armor that came in the Knox in the Knox.
Just upgraded the armour in my Urbane Mk2 to the new Know level 2 stuff and I use it the same as you. Just that I layer up with regular clothes to look less like a biker.
Do you think you could try the Ultimate Ear custom ear plugs? I know you did a video on ear plugs, but I think protecting hearing is very important. You could also get an intercom to keep your music with ear plugs. Pricey, I know, but worth protecting your hearing in my opinion.
It really is a nice solution, if your contry is cold for most part of the year and if you're a business man. For the average biker, in a sunny country, it's a waste of money. I'm not saying that its not worth the money ( I know ONE people in Portugal thart got that Pando set and the guy said it's amazing ) and I also know the quality of the SAS-Tec protections ( I've got the same ones in my EngineHawk "Hawk Eye" jacket and allready took a fall, without big consequences for me or the jacket ). I would buy this set, if I was in need of disguising myself out of the biker looks... but I don't, so...
After a year of expirience i can say that i would never wear the combo allday under normal clothes. I change when i arrive at work every times. After one year i can also say that the stitching is slowly opening and the protecters are always folding and its a pain to put it on.
hey, thanks for that negative feedback from your personal experience. I'm wondering if you ended up liking it more with a second pair, or if you moved on another brand with the same idea, or if you reverted to armored outer clothing? I'm right at the point of buying some protective clothing, having just bought a used bike, and I really would love this pajama idea to work…
I had a crash one day with a "casual gear" (riding jeans and shoes). It's not as protective as leather or adventure bike stuff, but it's better than nothing and you don't look like a fool going to work with it...
“Finally I can please the 5 women who watch my videos.” 😂 Make that 6, great content! ❤️ I have the AAA leggings of this and I must say it’s very convenient, both in summer and winter. I might consider the top as well.
Interesting m/c gears. I normally don't purchase expensive gears, unless they are 50% off. I think most mainstream gears are way over priced, and there are many reasonable alternatives.
I am forced to disagree. With the technology in today's gear advancing at an unbelievable pace, a lot of that sticker price is due to the high costs of R&D. And to get a lower price, you're going to have to compromise somewhere, whether it be on protection, comfort, or durability. If that's a compromise you're willing to make, for WHATEVER reason (and there certainly ARE valid reasons... affordability on a budget comes most immediately to mind!), then yes, you probably can find cheaper gear. But remember, you DO get what you pay for.
The prices will drop as soon as other companies release something similar or better. In every industry the early adaptor is the one that earns the least because of aforementioned R&D costs - that's why they have to price it so high. Other producers will spend 100x less on R&D because they can "research" the existing products. It's the beauty of market benchmarking.
@@cprn. By then, however, someone else who IS putting in the R&D will have come up with something better; more breathable, more protective, more comfortable, whatever... and if you're buying the last generation stuff that has now declined in price, you're still not getting the best available.
@@thelevelrider64 It depends. This here is a big breakthrough so it'll take a while for the market to equalise. Even if someone's already sitting on a new meaningful breakthrough they won't reveal it until all of the competition uses up their resources on catching up with their old product because they want to have the cutting edge on release and won't risk any competition skipping a line of products and thus catching up with the new thing faster than anticipated. Therefore there's a sweet spot each year when enough companies released similar products for the prices to drop but not all of them. There's about 6 months gap, usually.
If i ever ride, i want both. Iv done everything on wheels that not motorized. Crashed, and been thankful i had on gear. I saw people picking up limbs from a moto crash, on a public road way i drive by for grociers. I still want to ride, but seeing that kinda changed me.
If it was lower priced, and maybe they made us have to go and buy (or use our existing) armor, I'd say these pajamas would be worth it. If they could do the pants + jacket for around the $225 price point, that would be about the most I'd want to pay for a base layer that I can't/won't even ride as its own gear.
Looks like you put the SAS tec pads in your gear the wrong way round. The flat side goes outwards with the nodule side against your bones - so it curves and compresses. It actually states outward on some of their pads.
for upper body in I bought the Dainese Armor safety 2.0 jacket. I can fit my normal sized hoodie over top and the armor makes me look like a Venice Meach muscleman. I like having armor as a first layer. It makes dressing a lot easier and more variable. The bottoms here I would try out if they are available in canada.
Seemed like a good idea until the inevitably "expensive" came up. Guess I'm sticking with my current choice: aside from the basic combo helmet+gloves+boots (anything that covers your ankles and is resistant to abrasion like leather is good enough, my pick is work/trekking boots) I use a kit of articulated motocross elbow and knees protections. You can wear them over or under depending on the clothing, easy to put on and off, and won't suffocate you on summer. I'm still looking for cheap alternatives for hip protection. May need to make one myself. Asides from that you've got all the basics covered, I slided a few times (plus two crashes) and your limbs take the most damage. You don't really need much more unless you're absolutely reckless. If you're handy, you could make your own version of this "first skin" with some sport clothing and sewing protections on it.
This seems like an upgrade to my Icon compression armor. It starts to develop a bit of a funk after a couple days and you cant remove the D30 pads, so i have to have hand wash it.
i love the base layer idea. is why i grabbed a knox urbane mesh jacket. can throw whatever you want over it. pando moto seams good for cold weather but id rather have mesh since its hot af in california.
I wouldn't use them, especially living in the UK with its mostly cold and wet climate. However my wife really likes the idea of being able to wear normal trendy clothes over the armoured base layer.
I use a similar, older product - armored Bohn leggings - under older Kevlar or Cordura lined jeans without armor. It's nice to be ATTGATT in public without functional but bulky and weird looking moto gear.
I have the UH02 leggings and I wear them on their own without anything over top. Just on HOT days bc I do love being able to wear whatever jeans I want over them. But I guess wearing leggings as a stand alone piece is a bit different for a girl. 😂 I’ve been debating the top but yeah the $$$. Plus I don’t usually mind traditional riding jackets.
I am slightly concerned though, since on the armour which goes inside the clothing, doesn't have any T+ or T- marking respectively, which often comes with the CE rating for S(houlder) E(lbow) and K(nee) protectors. Meaning they're not tested at -10, or 40+ celcius temp wise. Meaning they could wear out A LOT quicker than expected in warmer (or colder) weather conditions.
Might be okay for British summers, but I'm not too sure how this would do in the summertime heat and humidity of many North American regions. In my own little corner of Canada (southwestern Ontario), summer temps can frequently exceed 33 degrees, with humidity routinely above 80%. And in someplace like Florida... well, I can't even IMAGINE wearing multiple layers during the summer months in a place where riders describe the feeling of riding down the street as similar to driving into the blast of a hair dryer.
If I am riding to work I am wearing a jacket, boots, gloves, helmet (obviously) and *maybe* riding jeans.. I live in the same city I work in so speed will not necessarily be a major issue therefore sliding won't be either. I still prefer to ride with full gear if I am going anywhere that hits above 50km/hr but in my city that is unlikely. Also saves time having to change at work, I can just peel off the jacket and change shoes to my work shoes and I am ready to go.
Recent crash wearing builders style tradie jogging bottoms and a hoodie. Wish I was wearing some sort of protective gear.. cos god damn the road rash hurts..
Even the most expensive equipment is cheaper than hospital treatment and rehabilitation. The equipment is not expensive, it is expensive to go to a restaurant and pay a bill of 150 USD for some kind of dinner
Great presentation, a question to you and your followers. I'm seriously thinking of buying one of this for my summer touring but I ride with an airbag vest (In&Motion). Would it be feasible as this gear fits tightly on your body to wear the airbag vest above it once you remove the back protector from the armoured shirt? Cheers
Honestly excellent production. Your video skills are top notch. As for the product, it doesn’t make sense to cost as much as an actual jacket or actual pair of pants. Seems like too high of a markup to be practical. Half price would make more sense for its use.
It is a good idea, a great idea. I like it, want it and I might even love it, but after checking my wallet, well, I will stick with what I have for now. Come to think of it, it's a base layer and the protection it will give a rider is, well, basic protection only. I don't see that it's worth it because I can wear casual clothing on top of it. If I have this base layer, I will still wear my full gear on top of it. When I ride with casual clothing even with underarmor inside of it, it makes me feel uneasy and worried, my anxiety creeps. I always wear full gear even when I just go out to pump air in the tires in the nearest gasoline station which is just 500 meters from my house. Yes, I put on full gear, ride 500 meters to pump air, ride 500 meters back home, remove my gear and relax.
I bought the forcefield top and leggings to fit as a base layer to be able to have my armour close toy body, I love the idea of wearing whatever I want on top. but that layer isn't abrasive resistant, and I found the pads just too big for me. I like the ones you are using, much thinner, what are they? And what level protection are they? Thanks😁 if you had 5 women watching, now you have 6😁👍🛵💨
As one of those five women, I would like to let you know that I am very pleased. Well done!

Base layer is making sense in cold weather... and it doesn't have to be armoured. I did ride with a surf suit as a base layer...it keeps you warm enough even if it rains and it's cold outside... but keeps you wet as soon as the weather is just a bit cool...
This product is defenitly what I was looping for. Thanks. I can now wear a hoodie ❤
your marketing and joke delivery is on point! 😂
Thanks.
Your content is so damn good. Stoked to see more releases as of late
Knox Urbane Pro Shirt Mk2, cheaper, with more armor included (shoulder, elbows, back), more ventilation, useful pockets (2 are zipped), and AA rating, rather then the simple A rating, for a cheaper price...I'd even say, it has a way better design with belt loops to keep it in place...and you can safely wear it on its own
Amazing product, will be ordering soon😇
Watching your videos since you own r6, thanks for creating such amazing videos
Your breath song is in my playlist and it made me to pick a bike, and I related to every line after getting my bike last month 😍
This is exactly what I need bro!! I wanna wear my normal clothings if I’m to buy a bike while having some protection
Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Loved your video & was just in the process of researching which riding jeans to purchase & now I'm thinking of trying these under garmets.
6:01 or…we haven’t bought all that stuff at your affiliate link. Always respect the honesty and disclaimers though
Female Rider and viewer who enjoys your channel 👍🏼
I dont see many people in the southern US wearing that stuff aside from fall and winter. Here in KY, it's been over 90f (32c) for a month solid
Lol
Aerostitch is the best for commuting still. It's dorky, but it peels right off leaving you in your work clothes.
Ditched the armor on the klim or the Knox?
@@marz2thestarz I have the Klim badlands pro and removed the armor that came with the Klim jacket and kept the armor that came in the Knox in the Knox.
Just upgraded the armour in my Urbane Mk2 to the new Know level 2 stuff and I use it the same as you. Just that I layer up with regular clothes to look less like a biker.
Do you think you could try the Ultimate Ear custom ear plugs? I know you did a video on ear plugs, but I think protecting hearing is very important. You could also get an intercom to keep your music with ear plugs. Pricey, I know, but worth protecting your hearing in my opinion.
do you think that Ultimate Ear custom earplugs are any better, really, than the throwaway foam plugs?
Why is protective gear making you look like a fool? I guess we read different definitions of the word, lol.
You also have the Bowtex pants AAA and the jacket AA with level 2 protection
Nice video ✌️
“Finally I can please the 5 women who watch my videos.” 😂 Make that 6, great content! ❤️ I have the AAA leggings of this and I must say it’s very convenient, both in summer and winter. I might consider the top as well.
Damn that harley never thought you will buy a cruiser
Interesting m/c gears. I normally don't purchase expensive gears, unless they are 50% off. I think most mainstream gears are way over priced, and there are many reasonable alternatives.
i agree this is great but the price tag is not specially when u need 2 or 3 pairs to have washed pairs and stuff not really worth it
I am forced to disagree.
It is hot year around where I live something like this might be a good idea for short trips
Only been a few months for me and ive already become sick of the excessively chunky gear, this is something i definitely need to
If i ever ride, i want both.
Seriously... $500 for spandex and pads is absurd.
Looks like you put the SAS tec pads in your gear the wrong way round. The flat side goes outwards with the nodule side against your bones - so it curves and compresses. It actually states outward on some of their pads.
This is fantastic. I can keep wearing a suit. AMD dress pants. I'll just have to change shoes at the office.
for upper body in I bought the Dainese Armor safety 2.0 jacket. I can fit my normal sized hoodie over top and the armor makes me look like a Venice Meach muscleman. I like having armor as a first layer. It makes dressing a lot easier and more variable. The bottoms here I would try out if they are available in canada.
I know PANDO ships worldwide ;)
Saw some cheaper versions of this on AliExpress
This seems like an upgrade to my Icon compression armor.
It starts to develop a bit of a funk after a couple days and you cant remove the D30 pads, so i have to have hand wash it.
Did you end up getting a pair of the Pandos, and if so, what do you think?
i love the base layer idea. is why i grabbed a knox urbane mesh jacket. can throw whatever you want over it.
pando moto seams good for cold weather but id rather have mesh since its hot af in california.
I wouldn't use them, especially living in the UK with its mostly cold and wet climate. However my wife really likes the idea of being able to wear normal trendy clothes over the armoured base layer.
The dudes honesty is so funny
The 100k sub plaque on the pallet made me crease 😂😂😂
I use a similar, older product - armored Bohn leggings - under older Kevlar or Cordura lined jeans without armor. It's nice to be ATTGATT in public without functional but bulky and weird looking moto gear.
The WW black 02 will solve your ride up problem. As long as you can work a body suit!
These are right up my alley. 👍
I hate wearing leathers (Pants). I much prefer a Tutu and slippers.
Seriously tho, these under jeans would be great.
Tbh I think I’d replace the armours for seesmart fairly soon. Can’t beat the ventilation.
I think it actually looks really good. I'm going to order some.
😂 😂 Counting myself as the five women. Looking to get a new bike. Also we're about 7, been looking through comments to find them
Also one of the 5. Thanks!
Good stuff bro 🤘😎🦾💯
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for
excellent video as always!
Wait, is it a harley?
I prefer switching clothes. I don’t want to wear motorcycle clothes all day at the office.
skill issue. imma sleep in those
2:49 now we're 6
Can you please tell us what size you're wearing and how tall/heavy you are. It would help a lot. thanks
I love this base layer. Can finally have Swag on the road. Only trouble is after a ride I smell like fumes. Is that normal guys?
Hey my guy, thanks for the video! What shoes are you wearing in this video btw? They look amazing.
How do you guys feel about knee guards ?
I fell recently and consider getting some
I ride an euc, not a bike but recommend Leatts dual axis knee guards. :)
Back track .... you know you are going to slammed for calling that Hog a Hog!
2:10 do you ride with your visor open bc the button the LS2 helmets is kind of a pain to open with one hand? Also what pants are those? Thanks
Ayo love the vids bro and looking at getting a duke cause of you bro
I work for a motorcycle clothing & accessory company and get staff discount. I'm sorted already😅👍 Great video by the way👌
a always wear full gear (not leather) with pads and boots (unless im testing my bike after repairing in which i just ride around a small square area
Hi mate. At 2:05 you have a stunning clip. (Light, quality, iso..) Is that your regular camera you work with?
I bought the forcefield top and leggings to fit as a base layer to be able to have my armour close toy body, I love the idea of wearing whatever I want on top. but that layer isn't abrasive resistant, and I found the pads just too big for me.
I like the ones you are using, much thinner, what are they? And what level protection are they?
Thanks😁 if you had 5 women watching, now you have 6😁👍🛵💨
Hey I know you won't read this but idc I just want to say I love your videos I always look forward to see more
I like the x mark on the motorbike headlight
Great gear and great video. Awesome!
Would these be suitable to use for adventure bike ridding off road?? Maybe under motor cross clothes ??
Well done. I not once felt like you were selling snake oil.
