You cut peaches very differently from me. My technique is rather similar to what is used on an avocado. You cut the peach in half then (skipping the twist) pull the halves apart. After that, the pit can be removed and you still have all the peach flesh to work with! ^.^

Hi Gemma. I baked peach cobbler today. It turned out absolutely delicious. The best thing about this recipe was low sugar content. For the biscuit, I used 1/4 cup of almond flour and rest was all purpose flour. You have awakened the baker in me. I thank you with all my heart. Abundant blessings to you and your family. 💞

I just made this and it was AMAZING! I didn't drain the peaches from their liquid and it was even juicier and nicer. I just added a bit too much salt to the crust so it was sweet salty but the beautiful peach flavor disguised it :)

Re: the salt, same with me. I followed the amount in the recipe, but used salted butter. The cobber was still edible with vanilla ice cream -- and the texture of the cobbler was perfect. Next time, I will halve the salt.

I made this recipe this week. I used milk and melted butter, instead of the yogurt and cold butter and it still turned out delicious! My husband loved it! (So did I) Niagara peaches are the best!!

I did EXACTLY this recipe, followed every step,... it is like when God speaks to you. 😲 I was afraid the peaches would turn out sour. Not at all, smooth, velvet goodness! That's a keeper!!

Dear Gemma, I have never been much good at puddings but since the lockdown forced me to finally retire (age 72), I decided to try with mixed results. I’ve never made cobbler and as it’s winter in Cape Town, all I had were canned peaches. Thinking they might be too sweet, I added a small punnet of strawberries. I used self raising flour...all I could find in the fridge! Turned out beautifully! Light, crisp and tasty. Thanks so much. I have learned how to make your ice cream as well. Now for the biggest challenge...pastry! Best wishes and stay safe.

But they are!!!!! Sour!!!! Good enough for baking though.... thank god for sugar. Last year I stopped eating peaches and nectarines - they all look so rubbery and none of them had any aroma left.... This year is the same so far 😞

What an easy peach cobbler recipe! The one I usually use has me make the biscuit topping which has to be rolled out and cut into biscuits. I like that this one has the topping mixed and then dumped on top. I am going to try this recipe soon. Thank you for sharing! I haven’t seen anyone else add in yogurt. That’s a surprise.
I made this and need to use coconut flour since sadly I need to avoid regular flour. The topping was much finer and brown much quicker than Gemma’s rustic one. But it’s still a keeper. Yum!
The acid in yogurt will break down protein in flour to make baked goods softer. In this way, the protein won't have big holes so moisture will be trapped in. So you will get soft and moist results.
