Hi friends! Hope everyone gets to make this delicious cobbler. The recipe has 3/4 cup of sugar (150g) mixed in with the dry ingredients, but it acceidentally got cut out of the final video! Happy Baking!
Preppy Kitchen hiii. Does it matter what kind of peach you use??
I just came to the comments to say I need sugar in that topping! 🤣
Kind of seems like an important omission, don't you think? No wonder the past 3 times I tried to make this recipe it didn't turn out right.
OMG That's so bad I didnt put sugar and I've already put it in the oven 😭
It turned really good though.. Because the peaches layer was sugary and juicey.. So yeah 😍 will definitely make it again 👍🏼
Literally just came home from the grocery store, and then John makes this. Back to the grocery store....🤣

🤣🤣
Exactly lol
Haha loved that, good spirit.
This is so funny!
For ease of peeling peaches ... blanch in boiling water for about 30 to 60 seconds .. remove to cold water.. they will be cool enough to handle in a few minutes and the peels will slide off ... * You're welcome ; ]
Did that a few weeks back. True. Works great... 👍🏻
I used fresh and they came right off, no blanching needed. But they were also really ripe.
@@hecapan1 Ahhh.. The moment of ripe perfection ! THAT is a thing of beauty !
: D Has happened to me only a few times , but the taste of peaches like this is usually amazing !
Didn't ask for it so no need for welcome :]
Just did it this morning with peaches I been doing it with tomatoes years ago.
My grandma does a biscuit-style topping but she only does Peach Cobbler once a year so it’s ALWAYS something to look forward to!
My mom makes one for me on my birthday and it's like the only time I get it 🙂

My mom did, too. Fabulous!
Where did your mom come from?
I would only make it when peaches are in season, not with peaches that have travelled hundreds of miles on a truck. That's why Grandma was smart enough to only make it when peaches are in season.
Hi John! My mom had the BEST Peach Cobbler recipe. Unfortunately, through a series of events, her most prized recipes were lost. She had a biscuit topping, with a sugar crackle glaze. She was so 'ole skool that she even "blanched" the peaches to remove the skin. Yours looks delish, and easier, too. All I would add is a dash of nutmeg and a splash of vanilla to the filling. A variation...make a Peach Melba cobbler, with the addition of freshly picked Raspberries! A little fresh lemon juice and zest, and a little Framboise liqueur! Perfect for the summer...always a pleasure to view your channel! ☺️
Stefan Marchione Check out Chef John’s recipe for peach cobbler on Food Wishes channel. That might be the one you are looking for . The topping is like a soft center, crispy sugar cookie. After spreading the batter on top of the peaches, you sprinkle liberally with sugar spray a bit of water on top.
I don't know if anyone else caught this but if you go to the recipe on your website it states to add 3/4 c of sugar to the topping, however, in this video there is no mention of it. I loved this without the additional sugar. What you use in the peaches is plenty - especially if you use ice cream! This is perfection and still gives me a slight hint of my childhood without the sugar rush! Magnificent!
Yes, exactly!!!
Right!!!
He has a pinned comment adressing this from 3 yrs ago
Omg! Never would have guessed your mother was from Mexico. That’s awesome! 💕
Why is that awesome?
My 11 year old granddaughter has a very difficult relationship with her father. She loves your videos so much and wants to get a scale like yours (used to measure flour) and follow your recipes exactly. She never tires of watching you. I'll be getting her some cake decorating tips so she can practice your cake decorating classes. Food and cooking are healing balms to a troubled soul and all the rest of us benefit from your classes as well!
Years ago responsible parents wouldn't expose their children to these LGBQT deviants and as a result strong families emerged. The decline of the USA is in your hands, granny.
Poor girl. That's good that she has you to take care of her if her father is not good.
@@nildarodriguez3974 Yes my friend, there is a lot of people who should not be parents, hopefully you are doing better today, but write this to the original poster as I do not know the girl.
@@LordOfSweden Ah, yes. I guess I was momentarily triggered.
It appears she is the scapegoat in the family. I suffered the same up until I left. Had I known about living with a narcissisti and its subsequent effects I would have sought professional therapy; especially if she wants to have a family some day. Please support her and let her know how much you love her.
Hi! I’m from Monterrey, México 🇲🇽And I really love all your videos! I never used to cook, I was afraid to use the oven, I thought everything was going to burn, but since I started watching your videos I have been fascinated, Your recipes have been perfect for me. There is no other youtuber so perfect! I love how you explain everything, I send you a huge greeting 🙌🏼I hope one day you can come to Mexico
Yesterday, I woke up carving for peaches and i remembered that i has some homemade canned peaches and that i watched this video and said to my inner self today or never. I prepared this and OMG, even my lil sis, that hate peahes ate almost half of this. IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD! God, everything u bake has an angel touch. Thank you for ur recipes.
I’m from the south, here’s a little tip. Wash and cut the peach in half like an avocado, scoop out the pit, and then use a large dinner spoon to scoop the fruit away from the skin. Flip the half-peach flat side down on cutting board to cut those perfect slices. Repeat with other half.
Absolutely love his energy and personality. Thank you for all the awesome recipes over the year!
Hey John! Peach cobbler? Yes indeed, I'm here because I love love love your channel!
Oh thank you! I hope you're having a great day!!

John’s energy has so much positivity and love. 🥺❤️❤️❤️
I just made this tonight for my Family and it turned out ahh-mazing! My kids and my girlfriend are beginning to think I’m a master baker thanks to you John, thank you so much.
You just blew my mind🤯 I live in the UK where cobbler isn’t well known at all - I discovered it in my early 30’s! All the recipes I have scrolled through assemble the dish fruit first, so that’s what I’ve been doing too. What you’ve done here today is nothing short of Magic Of The Gods! I can’t wait to try this
Just made this for family. Used 4 peaches and a couple of cups of blueberries. Everyone is in love with this (and you indirectly). Thank you for sharing this!
I just love your recipes, your commentary for tips and tricks, but mostly your passion comes through loud and clear!!!
I can’t wait to make this! My grandma’s peach tree has been producing like crazy this year!😄🧡
This is THE best peach cobbler recipe I've ever made. Like EVER! Thank you. ❤
Saw this video this morning and coincidentally, I still have 3 peaches on the countertop. Made half of the recipe and it turned out to be an instant favorite of my very picky girls. Thank you so much!
@Vickie Dodson yes Vickie. Also, I pour it all, including the juice.
All these months later, I made this cobbler today. However, I also looked over a few other peach cobbler recipes on UA-cam and the “others” did mention the one cup of white sugar to mix with the dry ingredients …1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk. Easy to remember. I used s.r. flour. Anyway, I needed your take to see how to cook and sweeten the fresh peaches (as most use canned). I also browned the butter in the pan in the oven. Sprinkled my topping with a bit of cinnamon and sugar before baking. All in all came out delicious. TY. Your video here did help me.
I just made this with fresh peaches and it was AH-MAZING. So so so good and really easy to make. Highly recommend!!!
You definitely are the very best! I love that you don't take shortcuts.
I made this with a combination of peaches, apricots, nectarines, and also sprinkled some blueberries in there and it came out delicious! i did miss the sugar in the toping, but it's not a big deal. I also put some lemon zest & cinnamon in it. Thanks for the recipe, I'll definitely make this again!
I always made this cobbler for my family and they loved it. I love the peach pie with pie crust recipe
Every time I want to cook or bake something I look to see if John has a recipe first before I look for any other recipes! He always explains everything, makes it seem easy and its ALWAYS delicious!!
Ground ginger is a wonderful spice to use with peach cobblers and pies, a change from cinnamon (or in combination with!) yum...
That peach cobbler looks so delicious yummy 😋
I been cooking for over 30 years professionally and you showed me to look at food totally different thanks
Thank you for this recipe, I made two batches, one for my family and one for our friends and it was a bomb. I served it for breakfast and for all you know it was gone. Yummy!!!
I just recreated this recipe. Everybody loved it and devoured it in minutes! Thanks chef 🥰❤️
i absolutely love your energy and charisma and am trying this recipe this afternoon! thank you
I grew up in Louisiana and my grandma was a maid and cook. She made a peach cobbler and a blackberry cobbler every Summer. Her regular pie crust was on the bottom. A cripsy but thicker crust was on top. A ton of fruit in the middle. Delicious. I have never had anything like it again. There is a soul food place here in Atlanta that is close.
This is awesome. Tried this couple of times already. Kids love it, wife as well!
I was born and partially raised in Shreveport Louisiana my grandmother I was used to crust one on the bottom and went on the top for her peach cobbler but we moved to Kansas where they use a different technique so I've learned to use a few different recipes to make my cobblers. I'm going to enjoy trying yours because it looks pretty good too.
some of my family is also from Shreveport, I made this and they told stick to the crust and don't forget to add the spices, butter, vanilla and more sugar to make it a real cobbler..
This is one of my all time faves! Can’t wait to try this 😍
Made this & used caned peaches, it came out the same just as he said, it was not overly sweet, it was refreshing & a fine dessert! Would definitely do this one again!
Reminds of when Betty and I first fell in love. I had just finished my fruit cobbler
My grandmother and mom both used to short cut the crust by using the store bought and laying it on top. My grandmother also used canned peaches with cinnamon and I still loved her cobbler but I like this version for the topping a lot. Have to try next week when it's cooler out. 😋
I have been waiting for John's peach cobbler recipe in like forever! The best peach cobbler recipe so far! Tried and Tested .. thank you!!!!
You cannot know how long I've been looking for a quick and easy peach cobbler recipe. And this looks, AMazing

Hey John. Thanks for making this look so simple and delicious. I love peach cobbler but have always been intimidated to make it and rely on the genius of others. With your clear and concise directions I think I can become my own genius. Off to the store for peaches!
Tried this recipe today. It was delicious and it came together pretty quickly!!
I grew up with my Grandmother, from Alabama and she had the pie crust type peach cobbler. Delish!

YUMMMM !!!! A true Southern Tradition in Summer
Thanks for this recipe which I love.
I added a more flour so I would have more topping. It tasted great and was super easy. I made one for my in laws and one for my dad. They both turned out great. I added brown sugar to the topping and it I like the effect it had. I have a feeling this would a going to become a requests dish. My mother in law called it crazy good.
Peach cobbler is my favorite. I made peach cobbler cinnamon rolls. They were amazing.
John, never made peach anything but looking at this delicious looking peach cobbler I will be going to the store buy peaches and make it. Will let you know how it turns out.
This looks so yummy! My grandma always made lattice pie crust topping on peach cobbler.
Thank you for this recipe; I just followed it and the result was delicious. I had never heard of cobblers before.

Hello. I made the peach cobbler and I have no words..IT WAS DELISHHHHH ON ALL LEVELSSS POSSIBLE. Thank you for taking your time explaining step by step!!😃😃
Similar to what I grew up with, but we use an egg batter (like a thick pancake batter). It is a fluffier version, but excited to try this. The crisp crust will pair well with ice cream.
I just went peach picking and was going to make both peach pie and peach cobbler. I saw your peach pie recipe and was planning on using that, and then was going to find a random one for peach cobbler. Perfect timing!! Now I'll be trying both of your recipes :)
Your recipes are amazing, but your positive vibe is so, so contagious!
I made it yesterday. IT IS DELICIOUS!
Love this recipe.

I squealed a little when I saw that you made this! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I really love cobbler and those peaches are gorgeous.
Growing up I hat cobbler 2 ways: pie crust on the top only and clumps of sweet biscuit topping.
That cobbler looks delicious!!!
My favourite easy cakes to make are cobblers, especially peach, berry & mango cobblers! SO delicious and juicy and amazing flavors! 😍😍😍
Ok back to the store I go for peaches !! Thank you ❤
John, I'm making this dessert tonight....just wanted to share a tip I learned many years ago for peeling peaches...put the peaches in a pot of boiling water for about a minute this causes the skin to peel away so quickly...really like magic....thanks for all you do.
I tried this today and omg, it's SO delicious!! . I don't usually like baked fruits, but this one I loved sm my whole family did actually 😁💕 thank you for the amazing recipe 💖💕
I just made this with the corn casserole, so good!! I love your seasonal approach to video posts :)
Looks wonderful.
Thanks for the recipe and all the comments. I am from South Africa and now I know why I've always been confused by peach cobbler. You guys have at least 3 different ways of doing the cakey part.
