    I actually did a review on the two that I purchased and they were absolutely flawless smooth and shot perfectly fine as well. It seems you got a bad one. It happnes even on the big name brands from time to time. You've already contacted RIA send them photos and a good description, I'm sure they will replace it. You unfortunately just got one that somehow slipped through the cracks. Please update us.

    Sounds like you got a dude. Mine is pristine, clean,and everything is as it should be. Action is buttery smooth and it will take beretta mags and slide parts. Coming soon I will upgrade the hammer, mag release and trigger tune kit. Also a magwell. The example you got does not reflect the pistol as a whole and should be stated as much. When I compared mine side by side with a Beretta it was very difficult to tell any difference in the two other than the name. Just my two cents.

    Canik, Tisas, Girsan, Sar, Stoeger (Italian owned, Turkish made) and others all make excellent guns at low prices and that has prompted more Turkish manufacturers to export to US. One mag is not typical, depends on how the importer decided to import the gun. There are some well known European made guns people pay way too much for that have lesser quality than the five names I listed. With respect to that particular gun, I would absolutely insist they replace the gun. It is not indicative of the quality of most Turkish made guns. Email Derya in Turkey directly. They will reply. I think they will be horrified to know you received a gun like that.

    Here's how you buy a good Beretta,.
    You do not buy a worn out Military gun that was used shooting overloaded ammo.
    You buy a Police Trade in that's rode in a holster it's whole life and was probably fired twice a year for qualification.
    They were about $400.00 usually. So technically their barely broke in, but may have holster wear.
    About 1982 I bought a M-16 styled 22LR by Armscore, inside you could tell it was made with hammers and chissels.
    And today they call themselves Rock Island.

      @@jasonanderson2403 I did have a Girsan Regard and it was a decent pistol. From what I gather they mostly don’t have parts interchangeability with Beretta, which was the supposed upside to the Melik… but at this point I’d rather have the Girsan again.

    • @jasonanderson2403
      @jasonanderson2403 4 місяці тому

      @@hobofactory Yeah I'd agree with that. I got two of them and I swapped out the slide lock lever on both of them with the Beretta parts to make them more reliable to keep the slide back on an empty magazine because the Girsan part is a little shorter where it catches on the mag follower. The slide itself and the tilting block aren't interchangeable. Also the grips mostly work, but may require a little work with a round file to fit better.

    • @danielgreen6547
      @danielgreen6547 3 місяці тому

      @@jasonanderson2403 Hi Jason, you probably know this already by now, but a Beretta 92FS/M9 slide *will* fit on a Girsan Regard, the Regard slide simply won't fit on the 92Fs/M9 because it is not cut for the Oversized Hammer Pin that is present on those modern Beretta 92 pistols.
      If you swapped the Regard hammer pin (the old 92F style) with the Oversized Hammer Pin on the M9/92FS, the Girsan Regard slide will then fit.
