It happnes even on the big name brands from time to time. You've already contacted RIA send them photos and a good description, I'm sure they will replace it. You unfortunately just got one that somehow slipped through the cracks. Please update us.
Sounds like you got a dude. Mine is pristine, clean,and everything is as it should be. Action is buttery smooth and it will take beretta mags and slide parts. Coming soon I will upgrade the hammer, mag release and trigger tune kit. Also a magwell. The example you got does not reflect the pistol as a whole and should be stated as much. When I compared mine side by side with a Beretta it was very difficult to tell any difference in the two other than the name. Just my two cents.
Trust me...there's a difference..even if you can't immediately tell by glancing.if you look further and have an eye when it comes to firearms you can tell the quality difference

That's crazy cuz I just bought mine yesterday and it doesn't look anything like that it's really nice I haven't taken it out and fired it yet but from looks in and out it's pretty nice I did order a Beretta 92 16 lb spring to see if that can Make any noticeable difference in the recoil I mean seven bucks why not

Wow. you got unlucky! I purchased one from buds and it looks nothing like that. Your pistol is a turd and should be returned to RIA and they'll replace it. The one I have has been completely reliable with close to 500 rounds through it.
Canik, Tisas, Girsan, Sar, Stoeger (Italian owned, Turkish made) and others all make excellent guns at low prices and that has prompted more Turkish manufacturers to export to US. One mag is not typical, depends on how the importer decided to import the gun. There are some well known European made guns people pay way too much for that have lesser quality than the five names I listed. With respect to that particular gun, I would absolutely insist they replace the gun. It is not indicative of the quality of most Turkish made guns. Email Derya in Turkey directly. They will reply. I think they will be horrified to know you received a gun like that.
Mine looks absolutely nothing like that and I really have no complaints at all. I will say I have not fired it yet, but I have taken it apart and checked it out and absolutely nothing like what you have there.

the best thing you point out check it carefully one you tuber has taken it apart did not have this issue your video helps make sure we bought a good one and it will be the dealer having to deal with this issue not the buyer to send it back
I just picked mine up. I have much smaller amount on one of the rails that appears to be dremmeled. Not nearly as bad as yours. Fit and Finnish is good as well as the machining. I'm satisfied so far. I don't leave comments on function untill after a good break in period.
Here's how you buy a good Beretta,. You do not buy a worn out Military gun that was used shooting overloaded ammo. You buy a Police Trade in that's rode in a holster it's whole life and was probably fired twice a year for qualification. They were about $400.00 usually. So technically their barely broke in, but may have holster wear. About 1982 I bought a M-16 styled 22LR by Armscore, inside you could tell it was made with hammers and chissels. And today they call themselves Rock Island.
I just got one with the beginning of the same marks, I discovered there were burrs on the locking block tearing into the aluminum of the frame. took the burrs off and it stopped. Regardless, I agree that’s unacceptable. I’m switching to a beretta locking block to be safe. Other than that the gun shoots well and has been reliable.

Paid $322.00 for mine, im thinking of buying a second one before the prices go up even more!! This clone of tha " Beretta " is Fantastic!! Very happy with mine, hope others will be also!!!! @EliteNirvana mine had much less dremling than the one showed here not enough to bother me. Nevertheless it was dremeled It cycled all 100 rounds of factory ammunition. It didn't cycle week hand loads.
DERYA MELIK is a value for money. Case ejections are snappy and with more authority compared to beretta, taurus and girsan. I have yet to see a melik failure.
The one I got was good. I accidentally bought zinc coated steel ammo and it doesn’t like it. Fired brass no problem I never buy steel ammo. It shoots really soft and very accurate

Yours looks like the welds weren’t coated it probably still should have been rejected I can tell because the groove is similar to the groove on mine I think it’s just a coating issue

You have “other” Berettas, but didn’t take a slide off one to see if it would fit and function? I don’t mean the 92s you showed in the video. A 92s won’t function on a 92FS/ M9 frame. You didn’t even shoot it to see if it worked? Come on.

i hear ya on the sloppy frame work but you havnt shot it? ive seen m9s that look like a hot mess in the frame that ran like a swiss watch , i get it but i wouldnt come on here complaining about what it looks like on the inside if i hadnt shot it, shoot a video and show us how it shoots personally id like to see how the fram work or lack of frame work effects the overall quality of the gun.

Just watched a very positive video of the model with the 2 tone finish and walnut grips. Maybe this one is a fluke? I hope so,as I sure wouldn't want this one
I hear alot of gun guys knit pick. But I don't blame u I wouldn't accept that quality either. The overall things I hear about these clones are people speaking good things. But I guess every gun manufacturer produces a dud or has a bad employee. But I certainly don't blame u I wouldn't accept that either on a new firearm
Seems like things just go from bad to worse. Pioneer saga was exhausting enough. I was tempted by this seeing those aforementioned videos, but parts interchangeability was something I was concerned about, as well as it being Turkish giving their history. Certainly didn't see one looking like that. Nothing quite like broken new items or stuff you can't find parts for to fast track ulcers.

Taurus has a hell of a lot better quality than that. Those look like they came out of the freaking Khyber Pass. Girsan Regard MC is a decent Turk made Beretta.
@@jasonanderson2403 I did have a Girsan Regard and it was a decent pistol. From what I gather they mostly don’t have parts interchangeability with Beretta, which was the supposed upside to the Melik… but at this point I’d rather have the Girsan again.

I got two of them and I swapped out the slide lock lever on both of them with the Beretta parts to make them more reliable to keep the slide back on an empty magazine because the Girsan part is a little shorter where it catches on the mag follower. The slide itself and the tilting block aren't interchangeable. Also the grips mostly work, but may require a little work with a round file to fit better.

If you swapped the Regard hammer pin (the old 92F style) with the Oversized Hammer Pin on the M9/92FS, the Girsan Regard slide will then fit.

Why should what others say have any bearing on what I report on my experience? People have had good ones so I can’t talk about my bad one?

I own this and it looks like it’s an area that was missed when they coated the frame I don’t think it’s from grinding
