Just put 2 of these on layaway at Buds. Always wanted an m9, but Berettas have gone up so much so i was happy to get 2 of these for less than less the price of 1 Beretta. Thanks for the review, really excited to add to the collection.
You will not be disappointed. I owned a 92FS and handled plenty of M9's and this pistol just blew me away as far as how exact except for the roll marks on the slide it is. I saw on buds there's a nickel plated one, and it's beautiful, but I'm gonna try this one out first and consider getting the nickel/chromed plated one with wood grips.
I'll also mention I'm the lefty, wrongy handed shooter, so I was kinda unsure on purchasing, but I plan to learn and train myself to shoot right as well
@Sandhill1988 Hey 👋! Today I went to my FFL it was delivered to and inspected the gun. Man holy shit... this gun is sweet and can't wait after the 5 day wait period. Pure quality piece of Excellence. Have been telling my friends all about it.
Just an update because someone had asked me in this thread about the construction of the frame, In which manner was it constructed. This is the reply I got directly from the manufacturer. "Regarding your question, the aluminum frame of the Melik pistol is made from a single solid part and then processed through our CNC machines for precision and durability". Well there you have it. The frame is forged From a solid block of aluminum.

I found the same deal. I was worried because some of the online retailers sell this model with DERYA in white letters like a billboard on the left side. Picked mine up today. It's a tight well-made pistol. Taking it to range tomorrow to see how it shoots. Only con for me is the lanyard loop roll pin. It is a bear to get out to change the hammer spring.
Thank you for this info. I picked mine up yesterday due to your praises of the Melik. I am very impressed with the build quality. It did have a little small circle mark on the barrel, but looks to be just a visual imperfection and no big deal. The mag release is a little iffy, but the mag that comes with it is not great. I have a Meg on the way. I compare this to the Tisas 1911. I love that pistol as it shoots and looks amazing. Especially for the price point. I am hoping the same with this one. Curious on Beretta 92 parts compatibility with the Melik. Girsan's 92 clone - Regard MC has different barrels, locking block, slide stop, and slide stop spring; meaning the parts look almost the same but small differences in their measurements. I was able to swap out most of the internals of the Regard MC to Beretta & Wilson Combat parts. The finish and machining on the Melik looks better than the Regard MC. Even the introductory price on the Melik is lower than when the Regard MC came out. However, the Regard MC has an accessory rail (MIL-STD-1913) while this Melik does not. I'll still take a Beretta 92/M9 over the Sig P320/M17/M18. A proven design, operational history, and a very affordable price is awesome. Thanks for the detailed walkthrough! Looking forward to the range report.
@@graystoke8229 Your welcome. One of the things that attracted me to this was the fact that it did not have a rail, I wanted the original clean classic look. I already have two Girsan's with rails, one full size one compact. I can tell you first hand the finish on the Melik is better than the Girsans. I didn't get out the calipers but I can tell you from the looks I can almost guarantee you all of the parts will swap over. As far as the barrel swap from a Beretta to a Girsan I'm pretty sure it can be done if you swap out the locking blocks. Anyway thank you for the compliments and thank you for watching. The range report will be forthcoming stay tuned...
they should all be interchangeable the girsan with barrels you just have to use the girsan locking lug I have done it the Melik looks like an exact copy of a beretta 92 can not beat the price at a lot of dealers
Not sure if you tried. But I've had no issues using 92fs slide and m9a4 slide on two tone girsan frame. If night sighted tb slides were still common. It'd be worth it. Hell, maybe brownells has one back. But you need everything to swap it over. Meanwhile the girsan slide is useless lmao. I wish I still had a regard to explain better. But I've shot it with m9a4 slide for a solid year. Used tb and a modern 92fs slide to avoid scratching the a4 lol. I wanted can or comp on the Ole bit. Ironically, the girsan stayed smoother than the Beretta even with Beretta slide. Gotta be the frame. Too bad I hate brigadier

I believe the front sight is fixed, but can the rear sight be changed? Is it dovetailed? I believe Armcor/Rock Island makes the ACT mags. Do you know if one purchases a pistol which comes with a 10 round mag, if it can still run the 15, 17 or 18 round mags made for the Ber 92? The gun is the same, yes, only the included mag is different? Do you know if the frame, slide and barrel are forged or cast? I'm still waiting for Rock Island to respond to my email.
Yes the front sight is fixed machined into the slide, the rear is dovetailed so you have a chance at changing that. The ACT mags are very good, made in Italy, I suspect they are some how associated with MEG-GAR because I put one of each side by side and I can't see any difference other than the name. Yes your pistol is the same and will accept / run any Beretta 92 magazine any capacity. And lastly the frame, slide and barrel are all forged (of what grade of metal I'm not exactly sure but I know for a fact the slide is obviously steel (carbon) and the frame is forged aluminum. Are the decocking levers and trigger plastic or metal ? Also does the rear of the slide where the firing pin is located have the little "relief cut-out" like the Beretta has ?
@@shawnbrown1723 Yes the decking levers and trigger are steel. As far as a relief, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. But I can say this. Once I removed the safety lever I was able to insert the Beretta M9 safety plunger that rotates with the lever. They both fit the same the firing pins are the same also. Only difference in the firing pins is the finish. The Melik's are finished like the slide in some kind of a melonite where is the Beretta appears to be a silvery color almost like a stainless.

One of the things that attracted me to this was the fact that it did not have a rail, I wanted
the original clean classic look.

@@blakedavis2447 you can get used police trade in 226's for much less than that...I bought a 226R 9mm DAK in good condition from GT Distributors for $324...I don't care for the DAK trigger system so I upgraded the entire pistol to DA/SA with SRT kit and Armory Craft trigger, hammer and springs...with all the upgrades, I'm still way under what a new stock 226 would cost with a far superior pistol...the 226 is very easy to work on ...
Just bought one on PSA for $300
@@chandlercarr4527 If they are very nice pistols , you're going to really enjoy it. Thank you for commenting and watching.
337$ at Buds right now just put mine on layaway.
Good choice and congrats. I actually just today picked up my second today. I ordered it at the old price just before the increase ($289.99) they even gave me a $5.00 coupon as a "gift" after the purchase of my 1st. Buds was even nice enough this time to put a sticker in the case 🙄🙂. That means my range day is very very close, and yes I will be posting a report. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Still going for 280+20 in SH
$280 @Dahlonega Armory...$300 shipped to FFL total....
If i own the 10rd rock island melik will the 17 round fit as well?
@@BretAkins it should I don't see why not. I believe they only offer the 10-round magazine for States with limits on magazine capacity. They probably call it the state compliant model.
am interested i purchasing thank you
@@davida.mourino9749 Imagine all the sales I have generated and I am not getting any kickback at all. I'm glad that i'm turning so many people on to a great pistol that's Reward within itself. Honestly my friend if you are remotely interested and you like this kind of a pistol don't wait. I yesterday just took delivery of my second one. I plan on getting out to the range very very soon Is to do a live fire functions check and range report, Which I will post on my channel. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

Indicate to me that they have very few or only one left in stock. Or they just could have stopped showing the drop down menue. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I think Türkiye with Erdogan is heading towards the top
@@BasraNew Sir as far as the small arms industry they are already there. I have pretty much exclusively purchased Turkish firearms the last few years, that and Brazilian. I purchased my first Taurus 17 years ago, my first Canik over 11 years ago. Both are still performing perfectly. I just wish that the American gun industry would get their heads out of their back sides. They have lost a lot of money a lot of sales because of extremely high quality and reasonably priced foreign competition. In my opinion they have become arrogant and complacent. Educated firearms enthusiast do not buy because of a roll mark on the side of the product. It's not A question of being able to pay its a question of why would you overpay. I'll add one more Filipino 1911's, Some of the highest quality finest in the world, and at a fraction of the cost. Give me the base model and then if I want power windows I'll install them myself. I almost forgot my very early Taurus 92 That was built shortly after the factory's acquisition from Beretta. What a beautiful firearm. Still have that and still shoots just as good as anything out there, smooth and accurate.
@@Sandhill1988 Very classy comment from reality
Not really, Erdoğan ruined our country in literally every single aspect. We were already investing in arms industry since decades and Erdoğan just happened to stay in the office long enough to still be in charge when we started to harvest the fruits of years of research and development
if its like the beretta just change to a 14lb hammer spring and add a skeleton hammer
@@bernardconeghen I could but i'm bringing these to service pistol standards. USGI. After I do that.If I want to tune them then I will but the only thing I think that I might do is add the langdon tactical trigger bar and a wilson combat polished chrome nickel silicone 14 lb main spring. I would absolutely consider a skeletonized hammer if I felt it was needed from a mechanical standpoint. The only way I would add one really is if I was getting light strikes. Then I would have to lighten the hamer to speed up the strike up. speed.
had the langdon kit put in mine awesome enjoy
Its not an uppa! it the slide and barrel assembly. It's not a lowa it's a frame assembly.

do they have rail version available?
@@LOGISTICSOPFMCebu Not that I am aware of. I think that this was more for the purest form of the 92FS. If they do have a railed version, it has not been released in the US market yet. What originally attracted me to this is the fact that it did not have a rail. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I would buy right now immediately if they built it with a steel frame.
It is all aluminum alloy frame. The ninety two serious pistol never came at a steel frame. So what is all metal steel slide metal alloy frame.
