    Girsan MC is a certified iso 90001 NATO spec pistol. That’s what it feels so good in hand the slide is smooth like butter, no tooling marks, the finish is equal or superior to Barretta. The pistol was designed to shoot 124 grain ammo, your groups will tighten up nicely. Overall I really like the quality of the gun and will be buying another one soon. Thanks again for the excellent review!

    Turkey makes absolutely beautiful firearms 100% dependable. I own a big variety from different manufacturers and have never had a problem with any of them and some of them are so beautiful I don't even want to take them to the range.

    I have the 1st version, Regard Six. Couple k rounds later, still a winner. Price was exactly half of a 92fs, at the time. Cut a loop or two from hammer spring, and it loosens right up.

    The most accurate pistol I've ever shot in my life with a Beretta. Just went to shoot with a friend of mine that had one, the design is remarkable and clearly made for accuracy. The clone is the same as well. 25 yards off a rest of course, I managed five groups of five shots at 25 yards all measuring 1 inch. That's almost unheard of in a pistol. I do a lot of pistol feuding and hand loadIng, but with factory loads right out of the box, I was purely amazed the pistol fits extremely well in the hand so natural to hold and yes I'll be saving up for one, most possibly the one made in Turkey.

  • @Nadamamasboy
    @Nadamamasboy 16 днів тому

    I enjoyed your review, thanks! I have one, and for the money saved, I bought a light and optic.
    For starters, Regard is the phonetic version of where the factory is.
    Speaking of the factory. Beretta sold their 92 equipment to them, so they're literally using the Beretta machinery to crank these out. Which they do, for the 55 or so NATO countries. Some minor differences, yes, but huge savings.
    Imagine if GM or Ford sold their classic pony car lines to a Turkish company. The waiting list would be a mile long from everyone wanting one!

      I have a tisas 1911 9mm us army model and it's quite good for the money I paid. I wish it had a beavertail and better sights but I could have paid more for a new upgraded model rather than the used one I bought. Perhaps I'll try to put a beavertail on it and make a tool for the staked on front sight to be replaced.

    The Regard is more of a clone of the Beretta M9A3 with a curved backstrap instead of a straight one. Many Beretta 92 components are compatible with the Regard, but the Regard slide won't work on a Beretta frame.

    Now i personally like the double action first shot on hammer fire pistols. Could be a bias because i learned and trained on the m9 platform but imo it's a perfect first time owners gun. The safty decocker plus the heavy trigger on the first shot it's like they will only go off when you want it too.

  • @RichiesHouse
    @RichiesHouse 7 днів тому

    I have both . Girsan is nice and offers some different features. However all the springs , small parts like grips , grips screws C safety decocker , take down lever is not up to beretta quality . Slide and frame is good but for example the take down button is extremely weak and the take down lever itself I can pull down a little bit without even pushing the take down button . On my beretta it’s solid . All the controls can be replaced or just start with the springs . Should you get a girsan ? Not new . Get one used save the money get one used for 300 and if you have to put some money into it it’s no big deal. However in this market used beretta 92 I got one for 375 mint .

    • @thetexasgunvault
      @thetexasgunvault  6 днів тому +1

      That is what I hear too. The small parts quality can make or break a design.

    • @RichiesHouse
      @RichiesHouse 6 днів тому

      @ this is is a cheap fix though . The gun works and is reliable . But nowhere as reliable for long term usage like beretta stock . So some new springs can make the girsan last a long time .

I had to go to the range and fire the pistol with an empty mag since I couldn’t eject the chambered round. I checked the 147 gr against 124 gr hp from Fiocchi and found the 147 gr was over 1/16 longer. Buffalo Bore 147 gr runs just fine as well as Underwood. I've loved the beretta 92 since Walker, Texas Ranger was a thing and it's my favorite handgun, but the more scratches and dings I find on it, the more I want to lock it in a box for safe keeping. The regard would be a good substitute that I can less afraid to beat up

    I had honestly never considered an ideological stance when it comes to purchasing foreign-made guns. On one hand, I’m sort of a nationalist at heart, and don’t like the idea of supporting an antagonist. On the other, once in a blue moon I’ll dip into some Peruvian booger sugar if a friend has a bag.
