These are the real deals 👌👌👌 the old school classic RAs are just amazing ..once got a spin in a version 2 Type RA and it just ticks all the boxes ...what a machine 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💯💯💯💯🙌🙌🙌
Beautiful GC8! Had a 2001 4dr 2.5RS USA. Whiteline Uerthane Kit with anti lift kit with Sti inverted struts with dual rate KG/MM (defunct hyperrev JDM order) springs. The thing rode like it had a longer wheelbase but handled like it was on rails. Miss the car 😢👍🏿 It saves my brother and my life dodging huge potential accident at 50 mph. Skirted several police speed traps. Also low key at car meets Cops went after the Supra and CRX Honda with bumblebee mufflers or Mustangs. By the time I got out of parking lot I would open up my cat-back with all JDM fog lights on! Cops would try to get out of parking lot to chase but I was GONE! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 Corolla GR core on order 😁
The shift boot makes me way happier than it should. We got robbed of the R34 and GC8 in america 🤦♂️ We got the impreza 2.5RS but a sti swap is not as magical
I wasn’t sure what US received from Subaru…it’s a shame but Australia also missed out on many special editions. We didn’t get an STi until 1999 with the Version 5, 2 door coupe, then a Version 6, 4 door sedan in 2000. These came as special low volume imports. Once the bug eye came in 2001, the STi variant stayed as a regular line up.
hey David, yes, these cars can be registered. Could be cheaper but it's not by much. The advantage with buying local is you can view the car but you could potentially buy cheaper with the import. Give Flat Four a call and talk to Kyle- he'll be happy to guide you and they took all the hassle out of importing. They make sure it's not been in accidents and full of rust etc. Everything to give more peace of mind!! cheers
Do you guys export to the US? Just a yank here, and the GC8 STI with c diff is MY R34 unicorn lol You guys have any clean aussie sti’s left over there that aren’t from Cheryl?
WRX cult does not do import or exports. Best to find someone in US that can assist, plus you’ll probably get a much better rate. There are a few STi models that are gems but asking around au$200,000 or more. Good luck with the search 👍🏼 Thanks for your support

That would be cool- love the V2 OG look!! It’s in for a part detail right now - can’t wait to get her back and show her off on the next vid! 👊🏼

Sick collection!! 2 questions,
Are they eligible for registration ?
And does it work out cheaper importing?
Considering sourcing a 2 door
