okay so I was iffy about the shrug at first because I lean more towards modest clothing (just a personal preference), but I decided to make it anyway, it was so much fun! And it did turn out cropped because I ran out of yarn, but If I just wear high waisted pants or overalls it works just fine, it turned out really cute! Great pattern thank you!! :>

20:14 I counted the stitches from the front part to the middle and subtract 5 and divided by 2. I think is the easiest form to understand that part. For example, for me it was a total of 47 stitches. 47-5 = 42/2 = 21 so i counted 21 stitches, put a SM, counted 5, put a SM and the rest of the stitches must be 21

I'm having trouble trying to make the sweater vest 😭😂😂 mainly because I'm not sure where to place the stitch markers since I have a lot of chains. I have 62 for the front side of the vest. And I devided it by 2 to find the center and it was 31. And then I get lost on where I should start the shoulder straps lool. But I do love your video!!!!! I hope you make another video on the sweater vest 😇😇🧡🧡🧡
Okay so if the front side is 31 then what you have to do is count from the center of the vest (add a stitch marker to the 31 stitch so you can remember where the center is). Count from the center of the vest AND the end of the vest until you reach the center of the front part of the vest. Then, you want to add a stitch marker really quick to that part so you can remember it. Then, what you have to do is add a stitch marker to the THIRD stitch on each side of that center stitch marker that you just added. Then, take the middle stitch marker of the front side of the vest off. In between the two stitch markers that you added to those third stitches, there should be five stitches in between them. That indicates the "V" part of the vest. And then for each side that's where you can add the shoulder straps :)

my hooks and yarn got here today :] you’re the reason i’m learning crochet! the 3mm hook is perfect for my yarn but i wish i had found some that could be used with 6mm but they were all really expensive where i live :/
here’s something random, when i crocheted the shrug i only put stitch markers in the front bc i didn’t know i had to put it in the back as well, and when you crocheted six stitches to make the arm wholes i had to crochet 24 💀

The great thing about crochet is that you can adjust the sleeves of the projects by adding increases where needed
